It can't be 167 hours until the next episode, It just can't. I'm going to freeze myself, I can't wait that long!!

  5. Oh god! They always tease something like this in the tv spots, but it never comes out. Look at Gus' face when Jules splashes Shawn with water. No one says anything, but he knows what just happened. So emotional! The last scene I saw this emotional was the endng of The Dark Knight Rises. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. How is what he does materially different from being psychic? That is, if psychic abilities, as understood on the show, actually existed, wouldn't they be presumed to reveal themselves in a manner similar to what he actually does? His process even manifests itself in visions of certain events, heightened details, etc.

I'm also surprised he didn't have a better answer ready, having known this day would someday come. I understand the need for drama, but what he said was just about the worst possible reaction.

OMG!!! That's just... too much heartbreak in one day!

There is an episode next week right? Cause there wasn't a promo at the end (unless I missed it somewhere) and that seems like something they might leave us hanging for a while with...

  8. Why was there no promo for next week? There is an episode right?

  9. I hated everything about this episode, i have nothing good to say about it and i am FURIOUS at James Roday for writing this trash. I love Shawn and Juliet and this is just too much to take. It's a good thing that they reconcile from episode 10 onwards (and yes i have inside information). She breaks up with him next week and they begin to get back together 3 episodes from now. Knowing that they get back together is the only thing that's actually stopping me from quitting the show.

  10. I couldn't watch this live so at the end I needed to pause for like five minutes to collect my thoughts and was super sweaty. Great episode nonetheless.

And Lassie was so happy and in my book it's happy lassie = happy me.

You know, except the heartbreak at the end.

  11. Coming clean to Juliet is something that he knew he was going to do at some point. Sure he could have talked his way out of it, but it was time to tell her the truth, so he did.

  12. Soooo.... You're condemning an entire (quite awesome) episode because the last three minutes included a (well-written, beautifully acted) scene which we knew was coming, we know will be resolved within three episodes, and which we know had to be addressed if we ever hope to see those two strengthen their relationship?

I get the emotional response -- I was floored too, and like you, I knew this was coming -- but just think how amazing it will be when they get back together, and Shawn can finally be completely open and honest with the woman he loves! Isn't it worth a little heartache to get to that point?

  13. That ending was just unexpected. I'm looking coward to what's gonna happen next...

But the episode itself was pretty good. My only complaint was that the humor was just a bit... over the top.

  14. I like to know what you think that...?

  15. According to the producers, this was originally going to be the mid-season break, they WERE going to leave us hanging. But then this season is being aired all in a row without a break, which is good for us!

  16. I didn't see this ending coming and that Is pretty spectacular. It was so smart to play it out like a regular wacky psych episode and kind of chuck this pivotal moment at the end of the episode. Well done.

  17. Agreed. No matter how he phrased it, Jules was essentially hearing, "I've been lying to you for seven years." She wasn't going to react favorably no matter how he said it.

  18. Here's the promo for "Right Turn or Left for Dead", the next episode in next week! | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKLAoXblyhc&feature=youtu.be

  19. Thanks, I think we've already posted this :)

  20. Yes i am condemning the whole episode for the sole reason that i already knew that moment was coming and therefore it tainted my enjoyment. Roday is just using Psych as his own personal playground and i am sick of it. They completely insulted Juliet's intelligence in this episode. She has always been portrayed as a smart, observant woman, so how could it have taken her 7 years to put 2 and 2 together, it's just not believable. I just feel like it was completely unnecessary and contrived. It was not true to the characters, it was just feeding the dramatic desires of Roday and Lawson at the cost of these two wonderful characters and that was just wrong. I have been a loyal fan of the show since day 1 and Psych to me has always been a happy joyous place where i could escape to, i have never liked the drama on this show and never will support it, it's out of place to me. If i want drama i'll watch CSI but please leave Psych alone. I do however agree with you on one thing, i can't wait to see them finally have an honest and open relationship. BUT it opens up a whole new can of worms because now Juliet is essentially an accomplice to fraud not to mention the fact that she is lying to her friend and partner by keeping the secret of the man she loves. So this is definitely going to weigh on Juliet's conscience especially because she is all about honesty, and i have a feeling that we will see some of that arise in the season finale and onwards in to season 8. I am sorry if i have such an unpopular opinion, i truly am, but i can't help the way i feel.

  21. I think you may be crediting Roday with more power than he actually has. He's not the show's only writer and certainly not its only (or lead) producer. I think we can be pretty sure holding the reveal 'til so late was not solely his decision, and neither was the choice to show Juliet really had believed he was a psychic: Maggie Lawson's been playing it that way since the beginning, just as Kirsten Nelson's been playing Vick as a skeptic who chooses to play along because Shawn brings results. If Juliet had said, "Glad you finally admitted it - I've known that for years," they'd be ignoring all the hints they've dropped to the contrary for the last 6 1/2 seasons.

But as for Juliet's belief in Shawn, is that really so strange? Yes, she's a very intelligent woman, and a skilled detective. But - speaking as one who has made this mistake - sometimes the NEED to believe in those we care about can be blinding.

Juliet seems to be the sort who desperately wants to see the best in people, and wants to be able to trust, (perhaps even more-so because too many people have failed her). She's seen Shawn do amazing things, and I think, perhaps, she /wanted/ it to be true that something so remarkable could be real.

I do think you're right that things will be interesting between Juliet and Lassiter, once Juliet is in on the secret! I'm really looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

Last note: I've certainly met one or two others who, like you, wish this show would never touch on drama. But for myself at least, knowing those dramatic things CAN happen makes the usual light-hearted silliness just that much more valuable, because it isn't automatic. And knowing these characters can cope with serious matters at need, I can respect them as adults even when they're acting like children. (I figure, it's the same principle that makes spring feel loveliest to those who have experienced winter.)

  22. So good! I am stunned that my favorite campy shoe had me aghast at the ending, I was heart broken and happy that now they can build a relationship based on honesty. I do adore them as a couple and the acting was so good. Kudos.
