I thought when I read an article saying that, approaching the finale, Zoe was really starting to lose it that whoever said it (or wrote it) must be full of crap. I was wrong. Zoe is kind of starting to lose it.
This episode is definitely funnier than the last one. The only thing missing is Magnolia. Oh, and I love Zoe, but I believe she deserves the yelling by George at the end of the episode. And Lavon and AnnaBeth are such a classy couple!
HoD gold of the week:
Zoe: Wow, I am like that guy, Elementary. Jonah: You know his name's not elementary.
Lemon: What the hell is the mixed martial arts???
Zoe: I'm a persuasive speaker. Shelby: Here on earth, we call that kidnapping.
I admit it's not the best and far from perfect but it does feel like season 1.
It's kind of interesting to see her losing it. Because for me one of the episodes last season for me was when she lost it and almost moved out of BlueBell after her father reappeared. I love it when she's vulnerable like when she just found out Wade cheated on her, the raw real emotion that you could actually see from her face.
I like seeing her vunerable also. I thought, after the breakup, we'd see more of that. Lately it seems as if she's acting like she did when she first got to town. I don't wanna see her backslide.
I don't mind the writers showing Zoe as vulnerable and fragile. What I do mind is the writers trying to turn that pain into comedy and making her look like a lunatic.
Fav of the night: Lavon and Annabeth are the best! They work great together, they look great together and I hope we'll see them next season. (even though that might be wishful thinking)
My second fav storyline was George and Tansy's. Even though she slightly overreacted when he left her brothers alone, they fit.
Zoe is going nuts, but I think that's who she is and why I like her, she is fun in her own sad way.
Wade and Lemon need to find a middle ground and then they'll work well together. I had hoped after their first success, they could be happy about it for a while, but the next disaster follows in foot.
I liked this episode a lot. Brick and Zoe were adorable and the very annoying Shelby is becoming less annoying. Annabeth and Lavon are my fave couple, so sweet and genuine. The Hammer Jammer storyline envolving Wade and Lemon is great too. Tansy's brothers are the worse and we really didn't have to meet then. George's speech in the end was the greater thing he did this entire season. Zoe needs a chock of reality so bad.
i know this is supposed to be a comedy and i love it, but this show needs some drama, all emotions here are being played out like its a joke. Zoe is a mess right now, they can do something about it, rather than making her freak out and do things like a lunatic.
I'm so glad that George did not just run to Zoe after she Confess her feeling to him. I'm still hopping that she end with wade. Zoe though is losing it because she never had a broke heart before. She thinking how can I been so dump or did I make the wrong choice.
Yep, it's going for the slap-stick comedy when it should be dramatic. Zoe should be in the dramatic role - she just got cheated on and isn't handling it well. The comedy, lightness should come from the supporting cast storylines. But Zoe and Wades relationship breakup is the drunk elephant in the room that is NOT being addressed and the audience knows this. The writers seem to be saying the entire 3/4 of season didn't even happen and Zoe isn't funny she's losing it. Why on earth would you make your main character unlikeable, selfish and mean? The story makes no sense in the context of everything beforehand. How can writers give us beautiful stories the top of the season and then complete go wrong these last few episodes which should be the strongest? I just don't understand.
A journalist needs to interview LG and find out what the heck is going on. Obviously either she had a plan and it went haywire or she's "winging it". Or the audience is completely missing the story clues she set out. Cause the viewers are lost!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I like this show but the episodes are getting worse and worse.
