I really enjoyed it, it was creepy, it was funny with Clara vs the TARDIS and I loved the little bit at the end when the Doctor realised it wasn't a ghost story but a love story.
Loved it to bits. My favorite of the season, I think. Wonderful story, terrific and well-rounded characters, delightfully creepy tone, and all the pieces fit beautifully at the end. All-around great Who.
Jessica Raines is super cute. I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic so I like that the world-weary man and the compassionate, lonely woman had a happy ending. I can't help it.
The Episode itself was awesome, thankfully the Rings of Akhaten was just a single poor episode and not a trend. The only thing i'm missing so far is also some progression on the Clara mystery.
Wonderful job by the entire cast. Better pacing and character development than of late. BIG questions about permanence from Clara to the Doctor. Intriguing how the TARDIS grows in prominence again as a proper character. J-LC is REALLY good as Clara, and I do enjoy watching Matt Smith's Doctor. My 11-year old thinks S7 (all of it) has been great. He wasn't sure if he was up to watching this one (7.09), but it was plenty scary without being too, too scary, if you know what I mean. Just what the doctor ordered! So glad the show keeps on going and continues to excite and stir the imagination of children and adults alike.
With the recent reveal of the name of the final episode of this series (season) implying it's not the Clara reveal, it only leaves three episodes for Clara's mystery to be solved... and it doesn't look like it'll be next episode.
The Eye also comes up in the episode next week, in fact it's an important part of the whole episode. It's about time we got to see it in all it's glory!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
EYE OF HARMONY!

ReplyDeleteNice callback to the Asylum of the Daleks episode with the "big chin" comment. I would of liked a little progress on the Clara mystery though.

ReplyDelete'Hide' was good. It'd be better if the monster plot was cut.
ReplyDeleteWait until next week :DD
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this episode. I love seeing The Doctor scared. I think the pocket universe could have sth to do with the Clara mystery.
ReplyDeleteSay what? I was just surprised it was in this episode, though I didn't catch the exact name. It was part of the eye of harmony.
ReplyDeleteFine episode, enjoyed it a lot. :)

ReplyDeleteJenna has said she will be in series 8 as well, so there is still plenty of time to solve her mystery
ReplyDeleteYeah but considering the importance of her mystery, The Doctor has made so little progress.
