    The flashbacks were PERFECT. I was laughing and tearing up so much.

    It was AWESOME+AMAZING. I love the clips though, remind me why I love this show so much. And at the end when Captain Gates said "I have to say I don't know too many man would've done what you did" that's one of the point from this episode

    This is exactly what the show is all about, people! I'm still amazed by how wonderful this writers are. The way they make us laugh and cry and keep us on the edge of our seat/sofa/bed is truly marvelous and what a better way of remind us of that than with this trip down memory lane?

    best episode of the season, i thought the 100 th was amazing but this one is beyond perfect, i´m so proud to be a fan of the best show ever, can´t wait for season finale but it will a long long summer

    ok, first of all I´ve got to say that this was way beyond perfect!!!! the ep was amazing!!!! but here´s the sad part: we´ve got just 2 episodes left and they seem to be so sad and depressing, I mean Kate is having doubts again and Castle is so clueless!!! and then the summer hiatus... I don´t want it!! it´s gonna be terrible!!! :'(

    I've watched the episode many times already and I still think this would have be the perfect episode to air after the series finale (many years from now, with some adjustments here and there and some new and good scenes of their relationship, that I hope are yet to come) as some kind of a recap of what Castle and Beckett's love story was like from the very beginning to the very end of the show.

    OMG! This episode was AMAZING!!! I completely lost it when she told him she loved him though, and continued bawling on and off through the rest of the episode (this is what Caskett does to me...) My eyes are still red...XD

    I don't understand why there always seem to be people who would vote "awful" or "poor" on such an episode... Why? I can't believe those are Castle fans doing that, there is NO way in hell that there is even one Castle fan out there who thought the epi was awful. If so, then he/she is NOT a real Castle fan. Because this was one big love letter to the fans. Everything what makes "Caskett" was in there and acknowleded + the ILY and Gates "finding out" about them... And if those are people trolling the sites then I don't understand that - don't you guys have a life??? I mean WHY do that? I'm not going to some random show's poll and vote down? What would I get out of that? People are weird sometimes...

    Actually, there are a handful of fans that did not like this episode for a variety of reasons. Which is why I gave your comment a "thumbs down" -- Now, I loved the episode. But no fan of any TV show should feel obligated to love every episode of a TV show. I'm tired of "feeling obligated" to like something simply because I'm a fan.

    Well, I like Castle, but I only voted okay. Simply because I thought it was pretty boring with all the old scenes in it. Just putting together good old scenes doesn't make a great new episode. And quite frankly I think Castle lost a lot of it's charme.



    Try to see the show from a non-shipper fan and you would understand why not all fans HAVE to love every episode.

    i can understand why several folks thought the epi could better and weren't excited about a flashback episode. Considering this epi was the "late network order", they probably had no additional budget, had to squeeze it into their schedule as they couldn't put this as the last epi, and had to carve out a storyline that continued w/ arcs they wanted, it was pretty good. Caskett fans got A LOT, and TWO major milestones, an big, genuine ILU + Gates warming up to them.

    I didn't say anything about people voting ok. That's fine with me, not everyone has to vote awesome or great. I do understand the people who are not big Caskett shippers (though how anyone could not be I will never truly understand ;) but I respect it).

    I also understand people who voted ok because they maybe weren't thrilled about some weaker plot points (because although I AM a huge Castle fan I can admit if there are some weak/unbelievable points) and there certainly have been scenes last night that were quite a stretch. But for me it didn't take anything away from the episode and I'm willing to overlook little things for the episode as a whole!

    I was actually more referring to the fact that there are ALWAYS people who apparently vote 'awful' or 'poor' no matter which episode - be it 'Always' or 'The Lives of Others'. And episodes like that or like last night's don't deserve a vote like that because it's simply not justified.

    Also, maybe keep in mind, this was the extra episode ordered by ABC pretty late
    in the game and they didn't have a lot of time to fit it into their schedule
    which was already planned out. J

    Well,if they feel it was awesome more power to them! I know the writers didn't have a lot of time putting this episode together since ABC told them to do an extra one but i expected more. You know the old saying 'to each their own' well, that goes for all of us so don't ever feel pressured into voting or feeling a certain way.. ;)

    If there has to be a clips episode, that is DEFINITELY the way to do it!

    I will say, I'm really glad they swapped the order of this and last week's. If Beckett had started doubting Castle's commitment to her, and felt he was taking her for granted (because he didn't instantly drop his video game), just one week after what he did for her in this episode, I think my opinion of her would definitely have gone down!

So many good thing happens," if I have to be stuck not standing on a bomb,then I'm stuck with you".. Esposito, putting Kate & Rick on speakerphone,then tuning out,as they compare notes over who made whom jealous"... Kate, "Rick, I love you.,!!! " and one of the best one ".. Captain Gate" Oh for heaven's sake detective,just kiss the man..!!! .. He deserves it ...!!!

    Got to say, I really loved it.There were some really sweet moments as well. I do like flashback episodes just to see how many of the episodes I can identify ;-)
    I really loved the sequence after she phoned her Dad. It has made me wonder if there were particular clips in there to add a bit of foreshadowing before the finale? I dont mind if it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but it will be one of the episodes I hope will keep me sane over the summer.

I replied to the OP who was asking about the people who voted awful... something there seems to be about 4 or 5 of on almost every show. even when there's almost 0 votes in between and no-one actually says anything negative.... ie. trolls.

    Some people don't seem to have read your post properly and are jumping to conclusions... and sometimes people do legitimately vote poor or awful, but to do so without a post explaining why - tends to suggest a troll vote rather than legit issue with the show/episode.

    Oh their are trolls,no doubt about it.I also see people who vote that way w/o ever commenting on what/why they didn't like it..the same with people who downvote w/o saying leaving a reason why they disagreed.
