I hope this dosent mean its getting cancelled. It rise this week and beat BOP.Nashville and Once are abcs only shows I watch/like.All the sites have Nashville on the bubble but Deadline and broadcast tv buzz seem pretty sure its getting renewed.
"It's understood the show's producers could only deliver said number of installments - one short of the traditional "full season" - in time for its May 22 finale." - So this basically menas that production took too long and they won't be able to finish 22 episodes until the deadline/finale. Doesn't necessarily mean it's getting cancelled.Right?
They finished filming an episode today and still have left another 2 episodes to film and edit. in about 4 weeks. That's alot. They wouldn't have had the time for a 3rd.
I think you guys are over-reacting. ABC is not gonna recoup their loss by cuting one episode and recouping their losses is the only reason I see as to why they'd trim the episode order without the writers consent. Most likely, they wrote the end and realized they told all the story they wanted to tell in s1 so, instead of wasting our time with filler, they cut the order. Nothing to worry about.
While I think this show is not as safe as some people make it out to be (we can easily make the case of it being a bubble show), it is still relatively safe and the reduction of one episode means absolutely nothing to the future of the show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Getting canceled?
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it's only one episode, but still a little worried.
ReplyDeleteSeems a bit late in the season to be doing this
ReplyDeleteBummer. Deacon just got a dog.
ReplyDeletebye bye nashville.....
ReplyDeleteWhat? Why?
ReplyDeleteMy instincts say it will at least be a mid season replacement.
ReplyDeleteWHAT? NOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteWhether or not it's getting cancelled, trimming off 1 episode makes no sense. There's no reason to do so either way, especially this late.
ReplyDeleteThis is making me nervous...

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to give this a shot over the summer so I hope ABC renews it.
