I can't get over how out of touch the writers are. I completely understand that couples on TV typically don't stay happy for long and that the writers have to create conflict but the Wade/Zoe breakup isn't even causing conflict. It has been brushed under the rug instead of really playing up the angst that should still be present between them! The ratings are tanking to new lows and it really doesn't surprise me.
Completely agree. Seems they were so intent on the breakup they didn't ask - what happens next? Where do the characters do next? Wade begged for forgiveness on that bench - where is that guy? He should be sad, distraught over losing th most important girl, ever! Yet, we are shown - absolutely nothing! It's like the entire 3/4 of the season NEVER happened. Guess it meant nothing and viewers wasted their time invested in the relationship of Zoe & Wade. Writers just pulled the rug out from under and left the room.
That long? they only were a couple for 5 episodes! Seriously. This couple had scores of stories to tell with highs and lows. Viewers want to follow a romance. The JOURNEY as the characters grow as people and learning about and from each other. That was something I'd tune in every week for. Not jumping int bed or falling in love every other week with whomever. Boring!! This is my fun, happy place with interesting people and watch the protagonist become a better doctor, human and meet her match in an unlikely source.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Yikes...
ReplyDeleteIt's bad enough that they sabotaged Wade this season but now they're turning Zoe into a lunatic as well. Another bad move, HoD.
ReplyDeleteJeez what are the writers doing to this show.. SMH
