  2. This feels like a sort of spiritual sequel to The Doctors Wife. Seeing the actual depths of the TARDIS, which you know must go on forever....

Are the VFX good? Apparently there's a lot!

  10. Hmm, I think the VFX are on the whole more subtle than say Rings. There's are some rooms that must be almost completely effects, one of which I found astoundingly gorgeous, but on the whole I think it is hard to tell what is real and what is digital on many of the sets, they are very well blended together imo. There are some lovely effects otherwise too, I'm not very knowledgeable on process tbh but I assume that some of the characters have effects layered over their performance too.

  11. They really do play with the sheer size of the inside of the TARDIS, and how much she can change her layout at will when she feels that she is under attack.

Were the "ossified monsters" good? Or pathetic looking?

  13. Good, and very scary, I watched with the children I teach and the 6 year old was terrified by them! He kept leaving to go and watch a cartoon on a TV the other side of the room when they were on screen, but even then he kept coming back (and holding my hand) every 5 minutes to see what happened next, lol. The 12 year old isn't really a Who fan, but was completely glued to the screen he whole way through and said it was one of his favourite episodes of TV ever.

  15. I haven't seen it yet I'm afraid, Crimson Horror is next I think?

Ah yes it is. Bugger! I'm a little worried about that one, it's a Doctor lite episode apparently.

  17. From the trailer alone, I think it's going to be a standard Who episode and not as scary as the previous two (which for me are the kind of episodes I enjoy/prefer). I'm not really into the Victorian stuff we've had recently, didn't like Snowmen much at all if I'm honest and I haven't really connected with the characters involved. I'm hoping this is the one to change my view, but I'm not holding my breath, lol.

Exactly the same here. I don't like Victorian era stuff. It's boring. Who would choose Victorian era over future era? But in all seriousness, was the witch in "Hide" good? Or was it silly.

Also how do some people see episodes early?

  20. Due to the site really, we get access to previews (from the BBC to the American networks) and conference calls/interviews with actors/writers/etc so that we can tease upcoming episodes and do previews/reviews.

  21. I've written some teasers for Hide, here's the link in case you haven't seen them yet, we're having chats over in that post too if you wanna join in - http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/04/doctor-who-episode-710-hide-teasers.html :D

  22. There isn't such a thing as too much when it comes to doctor who! ;)

  23. Just hope the rooms are cooler than what we saw in Four's "The Invasion of Time". That's the first thing I thought of when I heard about this ep - "Hope the TARDIS insides are better than what we saw in that!"
