I'm honestly surprised. Camelot was their highest rated premiere before this aired and it wasn't renewed for a second season, so maybe this renewal is a little premature. But I really liked the pilot so I'm happy it's coming back!
Yay! David S Goyer deserves this. Ironically Da Vinci's Demons is not my favorite show of his yet it's the first one that will get a second season. I still miss Freakylinks. :(
Camelot fell to about a 950k viewer average, which is about what Torchwood: Miracle Day and Spartacus Season 4 averaged and neither were renewed. Camelot was also more expensive. Shot a lot in Ireland with an expensive cast.

Well, it broke their records. Still, you would think they learned they learned a lesson from Boss about early renewals.
ReplyDeleteO.O...
ReplyDeleteWay to be cocky!

Wow, hopefully they didn't just jump the shark...
ReplyDeleteHow come Camelot didn't get a second season if it was that highly rated?
ReplyDeleteI had no idea so I looked it up and apparently they had scheduling conflicts with some cast members (Josesph Fiennes and Eva Green).
ReplyDeleteSo, yeah, I'm not surprised anymore they renewed this one so soon and locked the cast before it was too late ;)

ReplyDeleteIf I recall correctly, Camelot wasn't canceled because of ratings but because Starz thought the series was to costly to continue producing.
