Casting for NBC’s potential Chicago Fire spin-off is heating up.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Lost actress Tania Raymonde has been cast in the planted offshoot, which will revolve around the Windy City’s police department.
The new characters — including Raymonde’s officer, Nicole — will be introduced in Chicago Fire‘s May 15 Season 1 finale, which will serve as a pilot of sorts for the potential new series.

I adooored Tania Raymonde on Lost, I always thought she was underrated. Her death scene was one of Lost's best scenes ever IMO. This being said, and even though I like Chicago Fire, I think this spin off is a mistake. It is too soon for this in the show's life and it does not have the ratings to support a spin-off, as well as we think it might have been doing for NBC standards.
ReplyDeleteAre the ratings strong enough for NBC to think that people would watch a spin off?
ReplyDeleteI guess they can only try?
ReplyDeleteConsidering how poorly NBC is doing, taking risks with a spin off isn't such a good idea but it might a better idea than ordering a new show, it's probably safer....I don't know, I don't even watched the show, I quit after the first episode.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't even finished 1 season yet and their already trying to make a spinoff, a bit premature when it doesn't have a stable and trusting audience yet.

NBC for every foot forward you take 2 steps back..its too soon for a spin off,the show isn't that good to warrant one!
ReplyDeleteNBC needs to focus on Chicago Fire...which is a wonderful show. I'm totally enjoying it and have no desire for a spin-off.
ReplyDeleteIt's a big show for the network but waaaaay too early for spin offs
ReplyDeleteSpin off for a show in it's first season! :D
ReplyDeleteIf the new show works, then Chicago Fire will have almost nothing to do with that success. Why tie the fate of a new show on one that itself hasn't found it's footing yet?
