Well if the pilot didn't sufficiently explain to everyone why Laurel was such a bitch to Oliver at the beginning of the series I think this clip adequately drove the point home. Now that we've mined this flashback topic for all its worth, can we please get some flashbacks that tell how the hell Oliver became a captain in the Russian mob?
I'm sure they do have a plan for it. I'm just anxious to get to it because, to me, it seems like a more interesting topic than the rest of the flashback stuff.
I know just about everyone said it, but Oliver, you're a real bastard. The writers keep trying to make us believe that Laurel is the love of his life, but after this clip they'll have even a harder time trying to sell it. I'm sorry, but there's no excuse whatsoever for his actions. I mean, instead of reexamining what he's about to do when he sees her, he calls Sarah to tell her to wait? I thought I understood why Laurel was the way she was, but watching this sneak peek, I realized I didn't. Her sisters was such a skunk!!! good she's dead.
Sara is too a real bastard, this wasn't a one night stand between them, but she was planning to go with him for 3 weeks. How was she planning to explain where she was to her sister?
It would be a flashback but it's a flashback that could then continue to a meeting in present Starling city. Personally, any possibility to see Oliver's past catching up to him is interesting to me, and there's a real possibility for this in this particular case.
ITA, it takes two to tango. What I would like, would be to see Laurel put some blame on her. I mean, being dead doesn't make you a saint. Although I suppose she already did in that episode were she asked her dad to help Thea, even though I don't think it was enough. IDK, I guess that with TPTB always emphasizing how much Ollie loves Laurel, I just assumed it was a spar of the moment, no something planned and that could've be avoided, that's what bothered me.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletewow Oliver was really a douche!
ReplyDeleteAt least now we know Oliver wasn't supposed to be on the yacht
ReplyDeleteI think the Russian mob will be answered next season or the season afterwards. They have a plan for that imo.

ReplyDeletewow mythought was right, who would have thought it lol
ReplyDelete:) You were right.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the more interesting island topics to me too, especially because whoever that Russian mob was, he's no longer on the island either.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is more interesting. But if they stop bothering with character development, nothing on this show will ever be interesting.
ReplyDeleteBut isn't Oliver/Russian mob going to be a flashback too?
ReplyDeletewow Ollie that's so messed up -i love you anyway
ReplyDeleteAt least we know he's different now.

ReplyDeleteWell, yeah. It's only a matter of time before Slade shows up off-island. I don't for a second think they'll pass on Deathstroke.

Lot of judgement about Oliver. We have next to no information on their former relationship (pre-island). Don't judge too soon.
