Hugh Laurie, dropping his American accent, would be amazing. Roche, also good. I was thinking James Cromwell when I saw the poll title (maybe too old)? .Or David Morrissey.
Sebastian Roché was awesome on Fringe. Jared Harris could work too... Oh, wait. Honestly the only reason I'm still watcing the show is because I want to see Moriarty. I'm still upset about the season 2 finale of ''Sherlock''.
Wow! I never tought about Hugh Laurie to play Moriarty, but now that you adress that... I'll be amazed if he gets the role! Laurie, alongside Miller would be fantastic!!!
Exactly who I thought or Anthony Lapaglia. Need an accent though. Ripper Street is done season one (which was amazing), how about Mr. Darcey <3 ... I mean, Matthew Mcfayden ;)
In my wildest dreams it would be Clive Owen or Gary Oldman, however I love the idea of a woman, and Gillian Anderson has the Brit thing down (Masterpiece theater).
Totally out there but I'd like to see Moriarty played by someone that's not flat out creepy. Someone that genuinely seems likeable and charming but is a complete snake underneath. Jeremy Northam perhaps. Or even John Noble. Someone you wouldn't think would be the baddie.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Interesting question, of the actors listed I would like to see Seb Roche in the role.
ReplyDeleteVincent D'Onofrio, of course!

ReplyDeleteAndrew Scott would make an awesome Moriar--- oh wait...
ReplyDeleteGillian Anderson

ReplyDeleteOnly to clarify something, the role of Gregory House was inspired by James Moriarty, so when you see House you a part of Moriarty.
ReplyDeleteEither Timothy V Murphy or Eddie Izzard, but I think Eddie makes every show great
ReplyDeleteBenedict Cumberbatch as Moriarty would be an interesting twist
ReplyDeleteStephen Fry would be interesting. I find most of the other options very unlikely.
ReplyDeleteJason Isaacs

ReplyDeleteI kinda stopped at Hugh Laurie and thought "YES!" But Sebastian Roche would be a solid choice as well.
ReplyDeleteEither Hugh Laurie or Stephen Fry
ReplyDeleteHouse was inspired by Holmes not Moriarty.
ReplyDeleteOh ok thank you for the correction.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Hugh Laurie or Sebastian Roche.

ReplyDeleteJohn Nobel
ReplyDeleteOMG! I'd love to watch Hugh Laurie speaking in his natural accent!
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome if they got Hugh Laurie
ReplyDeleteAll good choices, but once you put Hugh Laurie in the mix I know where my vote is going....
