Fabaa - I really think you need to research the definition of filler. Just because every episode isn't zombie killing gory action doesn't mean it's filler. The thing people keep forgetting about a horror DRAMA is the drama part. If it weren't for the story lines, zombie related and not, and extensive character progression this show would not have survived past season 1.
This. Although I like the action, the show has always been about the drama for me. I can't believe that people chose the Martinez/Daryl scene as their favourite in the poll about this week's episode! Different tastes, I suppose. To be perfectly honest, I didn't think the last episode was really necessary either (the Governor and Rick didn't really make much progress, although it was very sweet to see them together at last!) but ''Clear'' was definitely not a filler episode. There's no way this show would work if it was just zombie bashing week after week.
Everyone seems to think that Merle has defected to Prison group side. A few hints suggest that Merle is actually a mole inside the Prison. He is still working for the Governor. Here are a few hints: The Governor let him escape. During Rick's raid on the Woodbury arena, the Governor just looked at them escape, never shot back even when he was seeing them escape. In "Arrow on the Doorpost" he tells Rick that Merle IS very useful, that he DOES the dirty work (being a spy). He might have scouts near the prison, but how did he know that Rick brought back an arsenal of weapons. Taht's right! MERLE. He must be messaging scouts outside that prison (Remember when he told Glenn he has ways of communicating with Daryl without anybody else knowing. Why did he want to go 'help' Daryl? He was taking advantage of Rick and Daryl's absence to notify Woodbury of their compromised position. I think in the end, it is Daryl who will have to choose who is his 'family' and put down Merle.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Clearly she'lll fail at killing the governor. The last two episodes were disappointing fillers and I hope the next one isnt.

ReplyDeletePeople say the same nonsense when there isn't non-stop zombie kills in the comic, too. While that stuff's cool, I'm here for the living characters.
