I really have no idea what the writers are doing with Matt/Rebekah, it's like one step forward, two steps back, she hooks up with a Salvatore and he disappears for a few episodes, she gets daggered, he's uselessly just there. I kinda want it to happen, just because it could give Matt something interesting and Rebekah could use a nice guy before she leaves to the spinoff (I would have been ok with her and Stefan if Stefan weren't tethered to Elena for all eternity).
I 100% agree. They had so much potential but of course all the secondary characters never get a consistent story line, and only get screen time when they're needed.
Bonnie and Matt? Are they at the party together or just talking at the same time to Elena? Love the dresses. Although I have to wonder how Caroline can dance in that dress. Matt and Becca again. I like seeing them together. I like how Elenas, Carolines and Beccas dresses matches their hair color. And one thing is interesting. All dresses are strapless.
Yeah, she did. And I'm happy for her. But it's a dance, so I wonder who'll die this time. Hey, we should create a poll every time there is a dance or party in MF: Who will die this time?
Absolutely. She flirt's with Stefan, want's him back. Than she's after Matt, even buys him a new car, then she sleeps with Stefan, never mentioning Matt again. But we're used to it, aren't we (the Salvatores in S1 and S3/4 flashbacks). Let's call it the JP-confusion.
This time we got some psychopaths (Klaus and Elena) and several potentially dangerous vamps (Becca, Damon and Stefan) in one place (hopefully Katerina won't come too), not to forget our powerful and potentially unstable witch. So, it'd say we'll have a high body count. 2 at least. Maybe 4. And just between us, I wouldn't mind if Klaus would be one of them.
Don't forget Silas. I'm sure he's around somewhere. I'd say a good over/under for the body count would be three. Maybe they'll bring back April for this. She'd be a good dance death candidate
Of course I thought of Silas. But for now he's not a threat to anyone. As long, of course, you're not in his way. He doesn't kill for fun or pleasure (like Klaus) or kills cause he feels like it (like Elena, since she feels nothing). That is why I let him out. He just want's Bonnie to complete the ritual, so he can be reunited with his lover. The only one he's a threat to is Katerina if she won't give him the cure. And of course to anyone who stands in his way. Like Becca, who want's the cure for herself.
Why you think of April? We haven't seen her in months. I didn't saw her on the pictures and she's not a senior, so she won't be there. Since we talk April: I'm no big fan of her. She teamed up with Becca and let the bitch torture the people she called friends, people she knew all her life. So, if she should die, I wouldn't mind. But it won't happen on this party.
They didn't mention any important death, so it won't be any of the major characters. Although I wouldn't mind if it would be Bonnie. She's getting on my nerves for a year now.
My inclusion of April was just wishful thinking but you don't have to be a senior to go to a senior prom. You just have to be asked / invited. Besides, she's insignificant and she's served her purpose so she's always an option for a kill whenever the writers should need or want one.
I'm not for killing Bonnie. Not yet anyway. My problem with Bonnie is always the same... the material the writers give her. It almost always sucks. I'm eager to see what the writers will do with all of the remaining original cast members next season now that there won't be any Michaelsons around to take away screen time.
Wishful thinking? So you want her to die? Why? You hate her?
I know you don't have to be a senior to go to the senior prom. But she could only go as companion of a senior, right (sorry, all I know about US high school I learned from shows and movies)? Who would invite her? She just came back. She has almost no friends. The only persons she was close to were Elena, Matt, Jeremy and Rebekah. And Matt will probably go alone or with Bonnie (or you think he'll go with Becca?). Not Caroline, she'll go with Klaus (Bitch!).
"She's insignificant and she's served her purpose so she's always an option for a kill?" True. I hope they won't go that way. Last year some people were saying that the show brings in new guest characters just to kill them 2-3 eps later. And they were right. You're right, of course, that she's free to die. But I hope they take a different path. They keep on repeating themselves and it's getting annoying.
Yeah, no matter who makes it to the next season, I think it will be better. The S4 story was good. Better than S3. But sometimes I had the feeling the family was forced into it. Like the story was adjusted, so Klaus and his siblings fit in.
"Wishful thinking? So you want her to die? Why? You hate her?" She's a ditzy, narrow minded, disloyal pain in the ass. I don't have a problem with her potential death at all. :)
"I know you don't have to be a senior to go to the senior prom. But she could only go as companion of a senior, right (sorry, all I know about US high school I learned from shows and movies)? Who would invite her? She just came back. She has almost no friends." She's the reigning Miss Mystic Falls. There will always be someone who wants to take the pageant queen to the prom.
"But sometimes I had the feeling the family was forced into it. Like the story was adjusted, so Klaus and his siblings fit in." I wouldn't necessarily say forced. I'd say there were too many characters and not enough screen time for all of them. It made all the characters' arcs suffer as a result.
You're right, she is. But as I said, I hope they go another way. She can leave. She sure has relatives somewhere else. But I wouldn't mind either, if she dies.
Yeah, a senior who hasn't a girlfriend could invite her. But just cause she's Miss Mystic Falls? Boys. So simple and predictable.
I get what you mean. But I still feel they are unnecessary. The Silas story would work perfectly without Klaus or Kol. When Elena turned, Klaus wanted to leave. Why didn't he? Because of the cure. In 1000 years of Vampire history, no one ever heard of a cure. Not even as a myth or legend. And there were several vamps who would give everything to be human again (like Becca, Elena or Stefan). Vamps, that probably dedicated decades and centuries, studying all the myths and legends connected to their kind. But there was never one word of a cure (not even after Katerina turned and Klaus wiped out her family. When he thought his chance of braking the curse were lost, why didn't he go searching for the cure to give it to Katerina?). Until it was the reason for Klaus to stay. What a coincidence. When he was leaving town, a cure showed up, that could turn his precious doppelganger human again. I think, Silas would work better as a super villain, than a lovesick vamp wanting to die. I think, they just combined him with the cure. Maybe I'm wrong. It's possible. But to me it's like they made up the cure to give Klaus a reason to stay in MF. And remember, that Klaus was thrilled when the first of The Five showed up. All he could think of was to cure Elena. A couple of eps later we were introduced to Shane and Silas. And also remember, that at the beginning Klaus was not afraid to Silas. Neither was Becca. After Kol showed up they started this whole "bring the end of the world" crap. And still Klaus wanted the cure. Instead of preventing the gang finding the cure, he forced them into searching for it. Think. Every time he left, they found a reason for him to return. When he couldn't create hybrids, he came back to look for answers. Then it turned out its Elenas blood he needs, so he's forced to come back to get some every time his suply runs out. Then he stayed although they tried to kill him several times. Makes no sense. He could take more blood and his hybrids and go. Then he, who never showed any interest in love or even sex, falls for Caroline. When Elena turns, a cure shows up. I wonder what the reason is he stays now, instead of going after Katerina (who has the cure he wants either destroyed or down the doppelgangers throat). Maybe Caroline. Ty, his rival, is gone. Or Silas. Klaus doesn't want all the dead vamps and wolves to come after him. If that's so, why isn't he killing Bonnie? Only she can perform the ritual. He could kill her and go (after Katerina). Yet he stays.
I'd say you're wrong because Silas is a threat to ANYONE because of his mind games he can play. What about Klaus? He's basically threatening him until he gets the cure. Anyone else going after the cure is an enemy of Silas. You speak as if you KNOW ALL ABOUT HIM........and you don't. So, I say we just watch the show & see what happens. Elena is annoying with or without emotions, by the way.
Of course he's a threat. He's powerful, can't be killed and if he succeeds, the world will be overrun with sups. I just meant that he has no reason to go after the gang or to show up (at school) and kill some of the students for no reason, like for example Klaus likes to do.
He want Bonnie to complete the ritual and he wants the cure. Of course he'll kill everyone who gets in his way. But unlike Klaus he won't show at the party and kill some of Elenas and Carolines friends just cause he can. That is what I meant.
I think, he picked Klaus, cause he thinks he is the head of the MF vamps, and controls and knows everything. Although, with his ability to read minds he should know that everybody hates Klaus. But he should also know, that Klaus always gets his way, which brings us back to the point where he's the "alpha".
You mean Silas? Of course I don't know everything. No one does. All I know I learned from the same informations you have and what I learned from his actions. We know that he wants the ritual and the cure, so he can die and be reunited with his lover. There is no interpretation or speculation about that. He said it himself. And as for him "not being a threat". Well I just thought about his actions. He wasn't going on a killing spree, like every normal, starved vamp would do. As far as we know, he only killed Jer and maybe Shane (maybe). He took blood from hospitals instead of leaving a pile of corpses. He could have killed Klaus (or tried to), Stefan and Caroline at the sacrifice. He didn't. He doesn't kill for no reason, that is why I think he's not a threat unless you get in his way.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love Elena´s dress. She can´t look more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Damon offering booze to Caroline is killing me. It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteBonnie ?? dressed up?? looking soooooooooooo gorgeous *dead*
ReplyDeleteSometimes I do in fact wonder why the brothers keep competing for her attention. Then she wears something like that and I understand completely.
ReplyDeletePlease let Matt and Rebekah happen.
ReplyDeleteI really have no idea what the writers are doing with Matt/Rebekah, it's like one step forward, two steps back, she hooks up with a Salvatore and he disappears for a few episodes, she gets daggered, he's uselessly just there. ReplyDeleteRebekah finally made it to a dance!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dresses but Caroline's doesn't really look like a promdress
Bonnie looks very beutiful
ReplyDeleteAww. Caroline looks MISERABLE. :(
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! They would be cute together! :D
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree. They had so much potential but of course all the secondary characters never get a consistent story line, and only get screen time when they're needed.

Agree. Hard to dance in it.
ReplyDeleteAt least a body count poll. You know people are going to die. It may not be anyone significant but there will be a trail of bodies.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
