    It was great!! I loved it!!! To quote Damon "Well this is going in an interesting direction"!!! Aww I so needed that fix!! Elena definitely different from Katherine, in this way. I already saw that from the promo of this episode weeks back. Loved how Damon just waled into the house not being mad about the party, but enjoying it. LOL Like always, pfftt Stefan thought he was gonna kill everyone, smh silly rabbit. Elena and Caroline's fight!! What!!! Ha! IDC what Damon said, that totally turned me on, that was awesome!! LOL(and yes i'm straight, but a good fight is a good fight). Steroline!!! (yes they are my guilty pleasure). Klaus having his first sex scene...congrats to him, but i did not like it at all, I hate Hayley, and ughhh by Klaus's reaction of her mark, looks like she'll be around longer, (rolls eyes). Caroline and Tyler officially breaking it off. Well saw that coming 10 miles away, sorry for you Forwoods out there.(If there anymore anyway, since everyone has become a Klaroline fan) Smh.....and finally my Delena!! I love even though Elena's emotions are turned off, she still is pretty soft around Damon though. Definitely saw that all night. She didn't give him much attitude at all....and DELENA ROAD TRIP!!! And they're in my city?!?! It's about to go down!! Yes!! Can't wait for next week!!

    i hate klaus and hayley and i just hate hayley, i actually like caroline and stefan's friendship but they keep hinting that the friendship is going to become something more but i really hope that doesn't happen!! the delena relationship just makes no sense right now and i love delena but ever since elena has become a vampire they have just been so annoying, i actually think elena with no feelings is interesting but everything else in the episode was just annoying so overall i just did no enjoy the ep.

    What has happened to the vampire lore that the older a vampire is the stronger they are, but we have a baby vamp, Elena, just doing what ever she wants and Stefan can not stop her??? I only went with OK on this ep.

    i totally prefer Elena being human and i know delena's relationship has just begun but it needs to be more passionate than having them going wild on each other all the time.

    we forget that Elena is hunter trained. Just think what Buffy would do with the full powers of a vampire. Skill will trump age where it counts and in the case of Caroline she really didn't fight the way Elena learned to fight.

    Gave this one just an "ok". Although I do like the way that Nina has made this version of Elena different than Katherine and she is a bit more interesting than regular flavor Elena, I like Katherine better in the bad girl role. I know it's in the suspension of disbelief mode with as many people that die in this town, but it seemed hokey that Elena would be back at school/cheerleading when it is known that he brother just died. I did get a kick out of seeing cheerleader Elena outdoors in her skimpy outfit when by the misty breath it was obviously cold when they were filming. The Klaus/Haley tryst was obviously just setup for the new "Originals" show, but the plot felt too forced and really didn't buy them hanging out or having any interest in each other... Best part was the Caroline/Elena fight and was so hoping that Elena was gonna get a much needed ass whooping

    I hate new elena. Her character is just one sided-no layers! Just bitchy. She keeps saying she doesn't care, then why did she stopped dancing just to get into the middle of caroline and stefan's fun dancing. They were starting to have then she butted in. Pfffttt...

    The only thing i liked about the ep is caroline and tyler. Even if i didn't see tyler physically, he was there. Caoline always have the best storylines.

    It was great. One of the best eps in a long time.
    "So many people to kill" Good to see the old Damon is back. I missed him.
    The naked scene was priceless. Oh my. The looks on the Salvatores faces. "It's nothing you guys haven't seen before" Priceless.
    "And please, for me. No matter what, don't eat anyone" When you think it couldn't get better, it get's better. Just loved it.
    "Things you suck at. No. 1: Finding Catherine. Ever" This was so great. The writers did their best with Damon for this ep.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Damon use the same trap on S1? Lying on the street and killing the person that is stupid enough to stop and help?
    Interesting twist. The sire bond is gone? And here is another proof, how JP likes to change rules as she pleases. Didn't they spend 7 or 8 eps telling us that there is no way in breaking this kind of bond? And now it's gone?
    Another lackof logic. Caroline said, that the Salvatores have a water filter (the only vervain free showers in MF). Was it installed just now? Cause if not, where did Stefan get the vervain water for Damon (when Klaus was compelling Damon while he was locked in the cellar to prevent him from killing Jer)?
    Why can't Hayley just drop dead? Along with Katerina and Klaus.
    YAY!!!! Klaus and Hayley. Oh my god. Puh. First off, I'm just glad he didn't fuck Caroline. That would be unforgivable (for her, unless he would have compelled her). And it explains, why Hayley lives long enough to be on Originals (or at least the backdoor ep. Or was she already confirmed for Originals?). Don't get me wrong, I still hate both of them and want them dead. But I'm still happy he fucked Hayley and not Caroline. Although: didn't they promised it for ep 18? Second, I'm glad they didn't cover up Klaus tattoos. I just love guys with tattoos. At last I hope it were his real tattoos. They are great. Cooler than the Salvatores.
    Stefan was right. Elena is behaving like Katerina. Running around naked, using sex to manipulate, …
    I just love Stefan and Caroline. The best part was, when he grabbed Caroline and took her to the dance floor. And Elena WAS jealous.
    Elena is totally losing it. Humanity or not, I can't believe she actually tried to kill Caroline.
    I just have to agree with Caroline. Elena lost everything. Why would she want to come back? For her it is better to turn it off. To not feel anything. I would probably do the same.

    I agree about Klaus/Hayley... it seemed really contrived and fake that she would suddenly have any halfway positive feelings towards him at all. Plus they really don't have any chemistry between them

    It was one of the best eps in a long time. Damon was awesome.
    I like Stefan and Caroline too. Sometimes it seems to me like she's there for him, even when Damon and Elena aren't.
    I hate Klaus and Hayley too. But I loved the sex scene. Now, that Klaus got laid he will hopefully be in a better mood. And I'm just happy he didn't do it with Caroline. In S2 and 3 I liked Caroline. But since she's flirting with Klaus I began to hate her. I thought of stop watching if they would really hook up Klaus and Caroline. So, although I hate Klaus and Hayley, I'm glad it was them.
    I hope Ty returns. Maybe in the next season, when Klaus is finally gone (hopefully for good). It makes sense why he left the house to Matt. He is actually the only human (normal human. There is still witch Bonnie) in the gang. You think Matt and Caroline could come back together? After she got the letter she may think that Ty really won't be back. Ever.
    I was NEVER a Klaroline fan. I was from the very beginning against that. I will always stay a Forwood fan.
    Well, Damon and Elena may be together, but she doesn't feel anything for him. If she would have the chance, she would sleep with Stefan too. No matter what, I think she will stay with Damon (after she turns it on again). I think she's better off with him than Stefan. At least now, that she's a vampire.
    Your city? You're in NY? Cool. Yeah, Elanas and Damon road trips are always great. I can't stop
    thinking of the motel.
    Wasn't Bonnie sleeping with Jer in S2? "What's a girl gotta do???"? Well, I'm sure Damon wouldn't mind to help her out. Although he's with Elena now. But before that … How about Matt? He's single. And he's human. Bonnies favorite species.

    Agree on Nina. She's brilliant. She headed into the Katerina/Klaus direction, but manages to make it different and unique.
    Well, some people may think it's weird, that she joined the cheerleaders again. But some may think, she is just distracting herself, trying to find something to do, so she wouldn't have to think about Jer all the time.
    Of course Klaus and Hayley don't love each other. They didn't say anything about love. It was just sex. I know, some people have problems with that. Was it just a set up for Originals? Possible. But I'm still glad it happened that way. Better he fucks her than Caroline.

    I partly like the new Elena. She does what she likes and doesn't care what other people think. She's just taking it too far sometimes (that is the part i don't like).
    My favorite version of Elena was the Elena right before they left for this damned island. Strong, self-confident, knowing what she wants and she wasn't afraid.
    Of course she is one sided. She has no emotions. And her only motivation is, to take what she wants (blood, sex, …).
    And she got between Stefan and Caroline cause she was jealous. Her emotions are there, they are just buried. She runs on instincts. I think, she thought "My guy. My toy. Hands off."

    This was the most boring episode in a looooong time. They seriously killed off Jeremy, one of the best characters on the show for this storyline??? They should brinng Jeremy back, maybe Bonnie could do a time reversal spell & they feed professor Shane to Silas instead of Jeremy. I voted poor because there was no "meh" option :(

    I don't get the reference to Buffy at all, Elena was NOT chosen, she is not Jer, she is just a girl that got turned into a vampire and I feel very sorry for Stefan if he could not handle her without vervain. To me it was very lame and only got an OK from me.

    I love this new Elena and Nina is doing a very good job at showing us how different Elena is compared to Katherine even when she does sth similar to what Kat has already done.I believe that Tyler is gone for good and I'm angry about the fact that his farewell was not so epic a few eps back.In my opinion,no matter who the fans ship on this show,we can all agree that all the sex scenes have been hot so far.Unfortunately,that was not the case for Klaus/Hayley.So boring!And I got the impression that Klaus didn't know exactly what to do,he,he.Damon was so funny!I know that's not news,but sometimes,it feels like the writers are trying to make him funny all the time that it feels forced.This time it felt more natural.The E/C fight scene was awesome!''you fight like a girl!''-ha haToo bad Will is dead.He was hot!

    Whole vampire strength thing went out the window when Matt killed an Original. The writers can't make up their minds, the baby vamps always become stronger when it fits the story line like last season with Caroline overpowering Damon

    Yes, fun would be also a good choice for this ep.
    Nina always does a good job. Especially when she performed human Elena in S2 and Katerina. It
    was incredible to see not only, how different both persons are, but it was amazing, how perfect Nina played both.
    I still hope Ty comes back in S5, after Klaus is gone.
    I enjoyed the Klaus/Hayley sex scene. But maybe I was too biased. I didn't care if he does it with a sheep or a dog or anybody, as long as it's not Caroline. I know many Klaroline fans were throwing things at the TV and ripping apart shirts and pillows when he fucked Hayley and not Caroline. I was jumping and cheering. Cause the last thing I wanted was Caroline to sleep with Klaus.
    Agree. Damon was so cool and funny today. I don't know who wrote the script for this ep, but he/she should rewrite the other scripts.
    And as for Damon … Well, it's part of his personality and it has nothing to do with the writers and show runners. He always says what he thinks and means. And besides, wasn't he right? Most of these girls will have an average college education (if they go to college), they'll marry to soon, have kids (probably to save the marriage) and before they know, they will be living in the past, only thinking of the best days, when they were cheerleaders and life was a party everybody thought they were special.

    The Klaroline fans didn't watch a sex scene but they did hear Elena say that Care has dirty thought for Klaus.They can't have everything..

    Since the showrunners (which happen to write a few eps too)and the writers decide which character says what,of course it has everything to do with them.Maybe they don't all think like that,but they haven't written a character say to Damon that he can't judge a person like that and assume he knows what that person is really like based on what he sees.Those situations you described apply for a lot of people no matter if they were cheerleaders or not.Honestly,I didn't expect you to think that this behavior is ok.

    This was a filler episode to explore the new Elena and the ending of a huge story arc. They needed a calmer episode to set up the new Silas story arc. It was awesome to see a bad ass Elena.

    Yeah, I think, what Elena said made Caroline think. I think Caroline never admitted (not even to herself) that she is attracted to Klaus. Oh no. I hope that comment of Elenas and Tylers goodbye won't bring Caroline closer to Klaus. I hope he keeps on fucking Hayley. Someone said, that there have no real chemistry. Well, mostly true. But still. We're not talking about them loving each other forever. It's just sex. They were having fun. Maybe it won't happen again. And even if, I don't care as long as it's not Caroline.

    Don't get me wrong. Of course the writers decide what each character says and does. But every character has his individual personality and can only do and say what goes along with it. Damon is known for saying the truth, saying, what he thinks, even if the people don't wanna hear it. Forthright and direct. That is Damon. So you can't expect him to say what the others wanna hear. He says what he thinks and feels.

    But I agree with you that Damon was judging this girls just cause they wore cheerleader outfits. And I'm not okay with that. I'm not. I hate people that judge another people based on their outfit. But I think, that he was mostly right for most of the girls. And I'm not okay with his: the other girls are normal, that is why they are boring, you're a vampire and not normal, so you're not boring. I'm not okay with this, but it's just Damon. It's how he sees it.

Plus I do remember Joseph Morgan saying that Klaus' first hook-up was going to be with someone completely unexpected. I do like the idea that it could have to do something with the Haley/Katherine storyline.
    I miss Katherine! Obviously I don't excuse what she did to Jeremy but she's just so entertaining.

    Damon had some great lines in this episode! Ian Somerhalder just delivers them so well :)


    Now I'm really curious about the sire bond. Apparently it's broken now that Elena turned her humanity off & now of course they can't get her to turn it back on. Damon just can't catch a break hahah. Was it just me or did it seem like Elena was just pretending she didn't care? She's not supposed to feel anything or show emotions but she obviously did when she got jealous of Caroline & Stefan flirting. I don't know, i'm intrigued to see where this is going. One thing for sure is that Nina Dobrev is a fantastic actress, It's almost as if she's played 4 different characters now. This version is completely different from Katherine. I was wondering how they would show that.

    I don't mind that Caroline is there for Stefan when Damon and Elena aren't. Hell they've been there for him enough, way too much IMO. What I DO mind is the fact that Caroline seems to be there more for Stefan than she does for Elena. Which really bothers me, since they've known each other since first grade, and Caroline has only known Stefan for over a yr and a half (In TVD time). Oh god! Please don't tell me you're one of those fans?? That stop watching one of your fav shows just b/c some couple you didn't like hooked up?? Ugh...don't do that, keep watching, we want the ratings, and you'd regret it later. lol This is season 4, no need to stop now. As soon as Caroline couldn't get in Tyler's house, I knew Matt was left the house. My question is, what is he gonna do with his old house??? But this is a much better deal. No I do not think Catt will get back together. Matt doesn't want to be with a vampire, he still cares for her, but he prefers human. (I did love them as a couple though). I don't see it as emotionless at all. Ok so what if her humanity is turned off? She's STILL coming onto Damon. You know how many times she had the opportunity to sleep with Stefan and she didn't?? "Yea i remember the sex. And it was good sex. But that's it." Or w/e she said...She wasn't enticed by him. BUT she is enticed by Damon nontheless. Even IF she has other intentions. She still came onto him. She had other intentions with that party she threw, and there was no sexual intentions towards Stefan. She simply just went on texting. She is NOT Katherine. She's not manipulating through sex. She sees what she wants and she goes for it. No sugar coating anything....And I as well, very much believe that when she does get her humanity back, she will indeed still be with Damon...They're not over. I already knew they'd have obstacles, when they got together and this is just another one. So I'm still patient( hell i have been for 4 yrs, gotta keep going, lol) and i enjoy every scene they have, good or bad. I'm just appreciating every moment they have. Yuppers, New Yorker, born and raised....hahaha the motel scene was one of my fav scenes in the book. But it was a little different. Bonnie never slept with Jeremy in Season 2, The closest she ever came to having intimacy was during the decade dance with Jamie in the classroom. Beremy never had intimacy in the bedroom, She still til this day never even told him she loved him. Guess now she never will (sigh, R.I.P. Jer) Yea, what's a girl gotta do to get some loving?!?! That's what i mean. Bonnie's the ONLY one who hasn't. And if the writer's are intending for her to be a virgin, then they need to clarify that, b/c it's driving me crazy! I swear if i went to CC, and they picked me to ask a question, that's the first thing i'd ask JP...what's up with that?? Yeaaa i don't like the thought of Batt together, i like them better as friends. I know some of the Batt shippers want that though. But i just ship them as friends. They're better that way imo.

    There were a few scenes that worked for me. ...but there was just too much stupid going on for me to give this ep anything but an "OK" Elena feeding on someone in broad daylight while they're visiting Mystic Falls..the town where so many in the establishment are so aware of the existence of vampires that they are veraining the water supply was just stupid. The Sheriff...decides to handle Elena BY HERSELF? Puleeze. Stefan can't handle Elena!?!?!?! And I did NOT buy Damon "approving" of Elena's behavior and riding off with her. Even at his most deadly Damon was never stupid.


    The show has lost so much steam with me that it's dropped from a show I watched on my DVR before going to bed on Thursday nights to...not watching my recording until Saturday and only because my cousins asked me about it. i've gone from a fan who was trying to bring in new viewers to barely being interested enough to keep up.

    I am almost to that point also. This has gone from being one of my favorite series, to not watching the same night. They started losing me when they got to many characters to really care anything about. The reason I did not like Secret Circle, but now TVD have characters that are doing really stupid things..hoping it will pick back up when originals leave, the only one of them I care anything about is Elijah.
