The Once Upon a Time Spin-off will be called Once: Wonderland
English-born Australian actress Sophie Lowe has landed the Alice in Wonderland role in the network's Alice in Wonderland-themed spinoff, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Additionally, relative newcomer Peter Gadiot has been cast as Alice's mysterious love interest, Cyrus, in the project from Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

I hope so.
ReplyDeleteWell she seems like a nice choice for Alice. Too bad Amahl might be animated though. Cyrus is deriving of Persian Kings, kind of interested to see if the name will reflect it's roots...
ReplyDeleteI think it's def meant to be apart of the ONCE universes, but I think it will start out trying to be it's own thing (just to get established), but because it IS set in the same mythology, it has potential to take ONCE characters that don't get much screen time, or seem to have a small role and give them bigger one's. The format is also "current post curse" with Flashbacks like Once, so there's most likely good potential to see Cora again...If it's successful I'm hoping there will be more cross overs...
ReplyDeleteI like "Down The Rabbit Hole" too! -I think there is bar in Storybrooke called "The Rabbit hole", I was surprised they didn't use it a little more...
ReplyDeleteReally?? Wow! That is so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteTrue, forgot about them. Plus, so many shows (including Once) are at least partially filmed in Canada.
ReplyDeleteYa I'm not found of their CGI either, but I'm hoping that maybe we'll see some kind of different looking Wonderland (different time period/different part of the landscape?) and/or that part of the show might also take place in a 'real-er' looking world?!
ReplyDeleteIf not I can live with it, if the story and cast are enjoyable enough, but lets hope they can somehow improve on ONCE's introduction to it in terms of appearance.
Am I the only one concerned with how Wonderland will look in appearance? TV special effects aren't all that great. Wonderland, what we've seen on Once, was too fake for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not especially excited about this, but isn't it just a test pilot right now? I like the world Eddy and Adam have created, so I like the idea of being able to tell more tales while not trying to shove so much into OUAT. And something to fill a hiatus. So it's promising. I guess once it's an official thing and we see some things from it, I'll be more on board.
ReplyDeleteHaha don't forget the Canadians. Once is mostly made up of them. (And again I'm not really upset with that. I love the actors on the show).
