  1. I don't know how I feel about this.

  2. If this is true, this is a smart way to keep the show going if Ellen ever decides to leave. Grey's Anatomy would no longer just stand for Meredith, it could now stand for the whole hospital. Incredibly smart. I'm all for it.

  3. That's true. It would be possible, but I actually doubt that they will continue this show beyond season 10. And till then Ellen has a contract...

  4. Honestly, this just pisses me off.

  5. i don't really like this name, but it is smart if ellen pompeo wants to leave the show someday.
i'm curious to know how the new "owners" decided the name without getting 'avery' in it???

  6. Why? I don't like it either but only because it brings back bad memories of them killing off Lexie and Mark :( That was when I stopped watching.

  7. Interesting name, a little predictable but it's alright. I know that it's named after Lexie and Mark but technically Meredith is the only one with her name in the hospital name, so it will almost
be like it’s her legacy. Especially since Ellis also died and she is the famous
Grey so other people in the medical community could assume that it’s in her honor.

  8. All my creys!!

And it opens the possibility for the show continuing without Ellen.

  11. Well, I don't think Avery would be against naming his hospital after his dead mentor and his dead lover.

  12. Bailey's son has his name so it still lives on.

And the shooting victims don't have anything named after them either. I think this is sweet.

I don't know, it feels a little tacky to me. We'll see how it plays out.

  14. Well, it's not worse than when they changed it to "Seattle Grace - Mercy West."

  15. What? Why would they name the hospital after everyone that ever died? They named Grey-Sloan because their death is what caused the chain reaction that ended in them buying and naming the hospital. O'Malley died 4 years before, a completely unrelated event.

  16. Well done, I knew it was going to happen but I still was shocked that it did. Damn you Shonda Rhimes, you always get me to cry, damn you!

  18. It doesn't sound great, but the sentiment is fitting so I'm all for it.
