Even though fans have to wait until March 20 for the next new episode of “Arrow,” The CW has given viewers something to look forward to. On Thursday, the network released the first preview of “The Huntress Returns.”
As the title suggests, The Huntress, also known as Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) ex-girlfriend Helena (guest star Jessica De Gouw), has returned to Starling City. Her latest vendetta is with Oliver and she wants to destroy everything and everyone close to him, starting with his new girlfriend McKenna (guest star Janina Gavankar).

I don't like the fact that they're apparently turning Helena into a complete psycho (even going all Basic Instinct in the episode promo). The fact that Oliver prevented her from killing her father and instead had him sent to prison for the rest of his life justifies an obsessive vendetta? Give me a break.
ReplyDeleteI'm really not a fan of giving Oliver a girlfriend, he's already got enough on his plate, why add romance to all the rest, especially since we all know sooner or later he's gonna go back to Laurel
ReplyDeleteplus, while I have nothing against Janina Gavankar - loved her in The L Word - I really don't think she's believable as a cop, she looks like one of those fake plastic cops that populated all the CSIs
yeah can't disagree...
ReplyDeleteThey may sound sexist but this is what happens when one of the showrunners and half the writers are women.
ReplyDeleteInstead of having her be the Huntress everyone knows they turn into a psychopathic jealous ex-girlfriend.
it's not even his ex-girlfriend, they slept together twice and that's it... cmon that's not a girlfriend -.-
ReplyDeleteexatcly he's way too busy besides it's obvious that he will always love Laurel... we don't need romance for Oliver at least not right now
ReplyDeleteLess "jealous ex girlfriend" and more "Vengeful ex-fling" by the sounds of it, and I'm sorry, but that actually does sound like The Huntress.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I haven't read the comics itself but people who did told me her characterization is the same as in the comics so..
ReplyDeleteMy problem with McKenna is that this relationship is doomed before it started.. it'll end after he'll take off his shirt and she'll see the tattoo a
ReplyDeleteThat's ridiculous and it is sexist. How do you know it wasn't one of the male writers idea? Male writers are usually the ones who love this ridiculous stereotypes.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind McKenna. It's realistic that Oliver wants to move on with his life and wants some loving. Besides it's obvious the relationship isn't going to last but I don't find the storyline annoying or boring.
ReplyDeletewell he already said that he was tortured on the island to lance so i dont think only that is the problem, but the fact that every time he will have to leave with a stupid excuses... like the ones he gave felicity... it just comes to a point where its gonna be evident to her that he is the hood...
ReplyDeletei dont find it annoyng or boring just a little predictable...
ReplyDeleteHe didn't tell her though, and when she sees his Russian mafia tattoo, she's going to know what it means, and it'll make her ask questions.
ReplyDeleteNGL I'm going to find really sad if he goes back to Laurel (and if Laurel accepts him back) considering he cheated on her with her own sister and probably a bunch of other girls too. Desperate, pathetic and sad.
ReplyDeleteyeah true... see, too many problems xD
ReplyDeletewell Laurel is always gonna be THE one for Oliver(is what i think the show is telling us), even if he cheared on her, she slept with his best friend exc. they still love each other. anyway maybe not right now but in 4-5 years i see it happening...
ReplyDeleteNo according to Marc.
ReplyDeleteWhen did he said something like that?
