I wouldn't call Walt/Jesse a real bromance since it's so complicated and fucked up, but I definitely find it the most interesting relationship on the list.
I voted Criminal Minds, but Shawn/Gus (Psych), McGarrett/Danno (Five-0), Sherlock/Watson (BBC Sherlock), Troy/Abed (Community) & Ryan/Esposito (Castle) need to on this poll
Meant to click John/Finch but I hadn't had my coffee yet so hit Morgan/Reid instead, and I don't even watch that show. OOPS! For years it would have been Sam and Dean but that relationship has been trashed this season. Damon/Stefan would be my other choice.
Without reading a single comment, I'm going to guess the comment section is a collective meltdown over the fact that Dean/Castiel wasn't an option on the poll. :) Anyhow, I voted for Reese and Finch. They're such an Odd Couple, but they work so well together and compliment each other nicely. And I love the subtle ways PoI shows how they've grown to care about each other.
When I didn't see Dean/Castiel on the list, I figured I'd just vote for Ryan/Esposito who I assumed would be there, but alas. And my third choice (Peter/Neal) wasn't listed either! It's an "other" day for me haha
Still, I understand why some of these wouldn't be listed - if the poll creator doesn't watch the shows, they may not think to list them.
I had to consult my Top 10 bromance list and voted Other for Shawn/Gus on Psych. In fact all of my Top 10 are not on this list, but Finch/Reese and Bronn/Tyrion are contenders.
That's a tough one. I went with Walter/Jesse, with Finch/John very close second, simply becuse Breaking Bad has a longer run, but I'm confident that POI will continue to be better and better with its awesome storytelling and characterization, which is already pretty damn amazing.
I've never seen Supernatural, but I thought Sam and Dean were brothers? If so, how are you guys choosing them as best bromance? I mean usually bromances are 2 males who are not related, but are very, very close like brothers that you can picture some kind of romance happening.
This is my poll, so I need to give an answer too.. ALL of them! They are all so cute when they are together<3 Maybe my choice of best bromance is Dean and Sam from Supernatural, but I also love the Salvatore brothers and.. everyone else :p
Had to go with John and Finch. Picking siblings seems like a cheat for this question - for me - so I couldn't pick Sam & Dean or Damon & Stefan. My second choice was Morgan & Reid.
Apparently it's Danny and Steve from H5-0 people are missing more than anyone else, at least in the first 50 comments. I think it is smart not to put more than one option per show anyway. For me Dean and Sam will always be the ultimate bromance (NOT in the icky Wincest way but in the do anything for each other way), but I was disappointed that I could only vote for one because I would have loved to vote for Reese and Finch too. They went way past subtle with that rooftop bomb scene last week, enriching an already great scene by showing how much they have grown to mean to each other. It was definitely one of my top 10 moments of the show.
I never think of a sexual relationship happening when I refer to bromance. I just think of two male characters that have a close relationship and who would do anything for each other.
Daryl/Rick for sure. They must be the most unlikely of allies (The Sheriff and the racist redneck with anger problems....oh you know it was true in the beginning lol) but Daryl has truly come to trust Rick despite everything. I kinda saw it coming in the first season because twice Daryl lost it and Rick was able to talk him down, something the others in the camp hinted was impossible .
You just GOTTA love this bromance to pieces. John/Finch comes to a close close second, and Merlin/Arthur and pretty close third
Exactly. Why do some people think a bromance has to be romantic? There are so many bromances on TV. A lot of genre shows (or sci-fi, etc type shows) have guys with strong friendships. People get close in hard times like war. Plenty of bromances in crime shows and others too though.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Best bromance? Dean/Castiel (Supernatural)
ReplyDeleteRyan/Esposito (Castle) the best :)
ReplyDeleteGood poll !
ReplyDeleteI voted for CM Reid/Morgan but out of poll , I would add CM Morgan/Garcia and H50 Danno/Steve at the same level !

No Shawn & Gus from "Psych"? = sad.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one that was overlooked.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call Walt/Jesse a real bromance since it's so complicated and fucked up, but I definitely find it the most interesting relationship on the list.
ReplyDeleteuhhh who could forget McDanno from Five-0 I will not take part until McDanno isn't mentioned

ReplyDeleteWade/Lavon and Wade/George on Hart Of Dixie.
ReplyDeleteNope nope nope lol
ReplyDeletea poll about bromance can never be complete without Dan and Steve from H50. Hands down my favorite bromance on television!
ReplyDeleteI voted for Sam and Dean, cause they're awesome, but Steve and Danno from H50 should have been on the list. They're known for their bromance!!
ReplyDeleteHow are Danny and Steve not an option here? They epitomize bromance. And Shawn and Gus for that matter.
ReplyDeletetroy and abed in the morning.....nights
ReplyDeleteyeah ! Did vote for CM but McDanno is definitively missing :/
ReplyDeleteWhat?? You did not put Dean/Castiel on this list..so other for me.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen romance with these two AND I don't want to.
ReplyDeleteha, I agree, the romance on the show is lame.
ReplyDeleteother: Tony and Tim in NCIS. It's not a typical bromance, but they'd go through fire for each other!
ReplyDeleteSam and Dean doesn't work for me, as they're actual brothers.
ReplyDeleteagain no H50 in the list.... Danno and McG would be my choosing
ReplyDeletesaid it myself...
ReplyDeleteThe EASIEST question!!! WINCHESTERS BABY <3
ReplyDeletePsych! Shawn & Gus rules.
ReplyDeleteryan and espo!!! all the way!
ReplyDeleteOther - Ryan & Esposito from Castle!
ReplyDeleteI went with Sam and Dean, but Steve and Danny from HF0 would be my 2nd choice.
ReplyDeleteRick/Daryl (TWD), Monroe/Nick (Grimm), Damon/Klaus (TVD) all the way!
ReplyDeleteOff of this list: John and Finch for me!
ReplyDeleteSam and Dean, John and Finch, Rick and Daryl.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Stefan&Damon! I love the dynamic between them, their bromance is the best thing about TVD ;-)
ReplyDeleteI voted Criminal Minds, but Shawn/Gus (Psych), McGarrett/Danno (Five-0), Sherlock/Watson (BBC Sherlock), Troy/Abed (Community) & Ryan/Esposito (Castle) need to on this poll
ReplyDeleteOther - Oliver and Diggle // Arrow
ReplyDeleteShawn and Gus from Psych!
ReplyDeleteReid and Morgan.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they're not here and Stefan&Damon are. They barely even talk for most of the time!
ReplyDeletedanny williams/steve mcgarrett Hawaii 5-0
ReplyDeleteJohn and Finch..
ReplyDeleteSherlock / Watson
ReplyDeleteNeal/Peter in White Collar
ReplyDeleteShawn/Gus is the best bromance for me by far...
ReplyDeleteWhy were Ryan and Esposito from Castle left out
ReplyDeleteDanny and Steve! Hawaii 5-0
ReplyDeleteSteve and Danny from Hawaii Five-0, of course! Although that's so bromantic it may just be romantic.
ReplyDeleteoliver and diggles (arrow)
ReplyDeleteand peter and neal (white collar)
sherlock and john (sherlock bbc)
dean and castiel (supernatural)
The best? Peter & Neal, White Collar!!
ReplyDeleteMeant to click John/Finch but I hadn't had my coffee yet so hit Morgan/Reid instead, and I don't even watch that show. OOPS! For years it would have been Sam and Dean but that relationship has been trashed this season. Damon/Stefan would be my other choice.
ReplyDeleteRyan & Esposito on Castle :)
ReplyDeleteEsposito and Ryan on Castle, Love scenes with these 2.
ReplyDeleteFranklin and Bash, obviously!
ReplyDeleteuhhhhh, SHAWN AND GUS, PSYCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDanny Williams and Steve McGarrett of H50!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDean and Sam.
ReplyDeleteWithout reading a single comment, I'm going to guess the comment section is a collective meltdown over the fact that Dean/Castiel wasn't an option on the poll. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I voted for Reese and Finch. They're such an Odd Couple, but they work so well together and compliment each other nicely. And I love the subtle ways PoI shows how they've grown to care about each other.
I was thinking the same thing. I feel like it doesn't meet the definition if they're actually brothers.
ReplyDeleteMine would be Daryl/Rick and Arthur/Merlin.
ReplyDeleteI love Stefan/Damon and Sam/Dean's brotherly relationships, but they're ACTUAL brothers.. So it's kind of different in my opinion :)
When I didn't see Dean/Castiel on the list, I figured I'd just vote for Ryan/Esposito who I assumed would be there, but alas. And my third choice (Peter/Neal) wasn't listed either! It's an "other" day for me haha
ReplyDeleteStill, I understand why some of these wouldn't be listed - if the poll creator doesn't watch the shows, they may not think to list them.
No doubt, it's sam and dean <3
ReplyDeleteSteve and Danno!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of all time would have to be Christian & Sean ( Nip Tuck) .
ReplyDeleteRyan and Esposito from Castle FTW. I watch none of those shows in the poll.
ReplyDeleteI had to consult my Top 10 bromance list and voted Other for Shawn/Gus on Psych. In fact all of my Top 10 are not on this list, but Finch/Reese and Bronn/Tyrion are contenders.
ReplyDeleteSteve McGarrett and Danny Williams ---- Hawaii Five-0
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Dean/Sam hasn't been a bromance since season 3.
ReplyDeleteMy list would be:
JD/Turk
Shawn/Gus
That's a tough one. I went with Walter/Jesse, with Finch/John very close second, simply becuse Breaking Bad has a longer run, but I'm confident that POI will continue to be better and better with its awesome storytelling and characterization, which is already pretty damn amazing.
ReplyDeleterick y daryl carajooo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen Supernatural, but I thought Sam and Dean were brothers? If so, how are you guys choosing them as best bromance? I mean usually bromances are 2 males who are not related, but are very, very close like brothers that you can picture some kind of romance happening.
ReplyDeleteHouse and Wilson!
ReplyDeleteThis is my poll, so I need to give an answer too.. ALL of them! They are all so cute when they are together<3 Maybe my choice of best bromance is Dean and Sam from Supernatural, but I also love the Salvatore brothers and.. everyone else :p
ReplyDeleteOh Finch and Reese.
ReplyDeleteOther- Steve and Danny from Hawaii Five-0
ReplyDeleteOn the list: Reese & Finch from Person of Interest. Off the list: John & Sherlock from Sherlock BBC.
ReplyDeleteOther: Steve and Danny H50

ReplyDeleteMorgan and Reid, DUH! no one can beat chocolate thunder and his pretty boy!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI like Stefan and Klaus on TVD...
ReplyDeleteSteve & Danny (Hawaii 5-0)
ReplyDeleteHad to go with John and Finch. Picking siblings seems like a cheat for this question - for me - so I couldn't pick Sam & Dean or Damon & Stefan. My second choice was Morgan & Reid.
ReplyDeleteexcellent one
ReplyDeleteack! I never think of the really great options spontaneously.
ReplyDeleteSteve and Danny - Hawaii Five-0
ReplyDeleteOther - Castle Detective Kevin Ryan and Detective Javier Esposito! That is the best bromance on TV!
ReplyDeleteSteve and Danny from Hawaii Five-0!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteApparently it's Danny and Steve from H5-0 people are missing more than anyone else, at least in the first 50 comments. I think it is smart not to put more than one option per show anyway. For me Dean and Sam will always be the ultimate bromance (NOT in the icky Wincest way but in the do anything for each other way), but I was disappointed that I could only vote for one because I would have loved to vote for Reese and Finch too. ReplyDeleteshawn and gus!!
ReplyDeleteTroy and Abed should be here.
ReplyDeleteReese and Finch, POI
ReplyDeleteToooo many good ones not in there, but from the list Sam/Dean.
ReplyDeleteDean and Sam. They've had their problems over the years but still the best bromance ever.
ReplyDeleteMorgan and Reid were a close second for me though
Sam and Dean are the best obviously!! But I really like Damon and Stefan's bromance too :-).
ReplyDeleteSam and Dean are the apotheosis of bromance.
ReplyDeleteNick and Monroe Grimm
ReplyDeleteStefan & Damon + Sam & Dean don't count in my opinion because they are actual brothers.
ReplyDeleteAmen, sister! :)
ReplyDeleteRick and Daryl. forever.
ReplyDeleteOther - Ryan & Esposito from Castle!
ReplyDeleteDaryl/Rick for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou just GOTTA love this bromance to pieces. John/Finch comes to a close close second, and Merlin/Arthur and pretty close third
Marshall, Ted, and Barney. Bro... wait for it... mantic triangle. Bromantic triangle.
ReplyDeleteWhat you said about Reese and Finch, ditto. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's slash, not bromance.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Why do some people think a bromance has to be romantic? There are so many bromances on TV. A lot of genre shows (or sci-fi, etc type shows) have guys with strong friendships. People get close in hard times like war. Plenty of bromances in crime shows and others too though.
ReplyDeleteI don't reslly consider Stefan/Damon and dean/sam bromance's because they are brothers.
ReplyDeleteSteve and Danno - H50
ReplyDeleteOf course ! Morgan/Reid Criminal Minds !
ReplyDeleteThat's who I was coming on to vote for.
ReplyDeleteMorganxRied belongs together
ReplyDeleteNeal Caffrey/ Peter
ReplyDeleteRyan/Esposito (castle) and Shawn/Gus (Psych)
ReplyDeleteI agree with most of the suggestions however Dean/Sam wins regardless. It is the pinnacle of bromance.
