you mean all of these shows were cancelled (as in didn't have a great ending)? Usually I do prefer shows that have a definite finite ending- like One Tree Hill, Chuck- to some degree, Eureka (even though they 'cancelled' the show and rushed the ending) as well as Being Erica and Life On Mars/Ashes to Ashes. I still haven't seen Friday Night Lights or half of Veronica Mars yet (still in the middle of season 2) hope their endings are great.
Too many to pick one. :-) I'd rather separate cancelled from ended their run. So I won't consider shows like Battlestar, Buffy and Angel) Firefly is high on my list....it's about the only cancelled show that I watch and actually get upset about the cancellation all over again. But for favorites among these cancelled shows....Dollhouse, Veronica Mars, Moonlight, Farscape (they were cancelled and had to come back to finish their run so I'll put it on this list) and
Most of these shows weren't cancelled prematurely....they just ended as planned. Anyway, I'd have to go with Alias, even though the last two seasons weren't so great. Aside from that, Dark Angel (which isn't on the list) was probably my favorite cancelled show that was ended way too early.
I loved Charmed too, but it had a wrapped ending and it had years of story so Moonlight is more missed because it didn't get a chance. Wish it had been on some other channel. :(
This poll is a waste of time. If it were titled "What of these is your favorite show ever?" It would make sense. Of course then we'd have to wonder how you picked these shows? I love polls on this site, but this is weird and I refuse to participate.
Farscape,it still had another season or two of stories to tell. And Stargate, yeah,it had a nice long run i wanted a better ending than what we got...loved all of these characters..
I had to vote Heroes because the last episode set up for an unimaginably good next season. Telling the world was both a good way to end the show or continue it...
totally Veronica Mars! sad the CW is being so brainless around that time to canceled VM and pick-up that garbage PussyCatDolls-something-reality-tv. urgh! still mad until now.
Gilmore Girls! I miss Lorelai and Rory and Emily and Luke and Kirk and Richard and Sookie and Michel and Paris and Lane and even Christopher. Oh and Miss Patty and Babette and Morey and Taylor and Jess and Dean and April and Jackson and Tristan and Liz and TJ and Lulu and Jason and Logan and Mrs.Kim and Dave and Marty and Gypsy und Gil und Trix and and and...
Of all the shows on this list, LOST was easily my favorite. However, since it properly concluded, I don't count it as a cancelled show. Of every cancelled show I've ever seen, Pushing Daisies is my favorite, hands down.
There are so many favorite shows for me in this list, and there are some shows that has rightfully ended in my opinion. Charmed was my favorite show of them all, but the ending was perfect, they couldn't get more out of it storywise. Same can be said for Friends and Smallville. But I'm mostly bummed about The O.C., Gilmore Girls and Prison Break. Prison Break and The O.C.; while it's sad to see them go I acknowledge that the first season of both show was perfect and went downhill after that. So I voted Gilmore Girls; their ratings were pretty good in the last season (and it still is today). The first six seasons has been A+ quality whereas the last season was a B for me. The ending was too abrupt for me unlike The O.C. and Prison Break which got a final season order.
Wow that's a hard question....But I had to break that down BTVS, Charmed, Friends, Smallville, all ended. They weren't cancelled. Angel was suppose to have another season, but i 4got why they ended it to soon, something about trying to renew it's contract before negotiating the contract or something, idr..But It ended as a series finale though. So I wouldn't call that cancelled either......I picked Heroes, s1,2, and 3 were the best...but i gotta give it to them That cliffhanger was hella good, Brave New World, and I was hoping it would get enough ratings for it to return, but noooo they went with another new show and there was no room for Heroes.....I also liked Moonlight, I know it was kinda cheesy, but I wanted it to have a second season. I hate when shows end on cliffhangers, and we'll never know what could have been, sigh.
Hard to choose and some of my favorites aren't in there. I'd have to put Dark Angel on 1. I've read the books that sort of continue the storyline but it definitely wasn't the same. I still watch it on DVD from time to time and I still love the whole setting of it, the music, the cast and the storyline and there was room for so much more, especially after the last episode of season 2. I'd love to see it play out on screen. Besides DA I also would like to see more of the Sarah Connor Chronicles and more Firefly, although I must admit that I was real happy with Serenity. To complete a top 5 I'd have to say Veronica Mars and Las Vegas. Not that the last show was so brilliant but it was just fun to watch and I hate it when shows get cancelled on a cliffhanger :)
Wow. I submitted this and never knew it was posted. Only found it from the search feature. Odd. Anyway, the list comes from the 'ended' section of the 2012 series competition on Spoiler TV.
24 for me. Although I loved Friends, there's nothing like a bit of Jack Bauer.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
None of these shows were cancelled like stated in the title.
ReplyDeleteI loved Chuck though!

ReplyDeleteA lot of them were cancelled, Moonlight and Veronica Mars are the two I hated did not get an ending.

ReplyDeleteWhere is Lie to me?
ReplyDeleteMoonlight.

You know, you should learn the difference between shows that have been cancelled and ended on their own before adding such a stupid poll.
ReplyDelete@xrnzaaas:disqus And you should learn to be polite and respectful for people who might not know the difference. Jeez.

ReplyDeleteWow that was difficult...until I saw Veronica Mars at the end of the poll list. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think Friends. I watch it A LOT!
ReplyDeleteLost and 24
ReplyDeletetotally Veronica Mars!

ReplyDeleteFinished shows not cancelled in a lot of cases. Finished show then Lost, cancelled then I would I liked to see Pushing Daisies get more seasons.
ReplyDeleteDARK ANGEL! My first TV love. I can't believe it only had 2 seasons, it was so so good ): damn you friday nights.
ReplyDeleteFringe, The X-FIles, Chuck.
ReplyDeleteChuck!
ReplyDeleteVeronica Mars!
ReplyDeleteLots of good ones.... Voted for Firefly, but Angel, Buffy, ER, Friends, Freak and Geeks and Gilmore Girls are also way up there for me....
ReplyDeleteLOST had it's run, same with Friends... vote for shows cut short too early like Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Flashforward. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI voted for gilmore girls, but many on this list are shows that I miss. As for my absolute favourite cancelled show, that would be everwood.
ReplyDeleteToo many shows to chose only one ^^ I loved soo much Dollhouse, Heroes (season 1-2-3!!), Friends. Pushing Daisies. Six Feet Under :D
ReplyDeleteFriends wasn't cancelled, it ended.
ReplyDeleteI chose Heroes, I really liked it and was upset when it got cancelled.
Heroes was.

ReplyDeleteFriends wasn't cancelled, they just stopped at 10 seasons, but it is definitely Friends.
ReplyDeleteLOST, I miss this show so much :( Many unanswered questions!
