  1. M*A*S*H was the only one on the lsit I watched. Not a fan of medical shows at all.

  2. Scrubs. The medical show medical professionals always say is the most accurate representation of hospital life (with regards to cases/relationships etc).

  3. Chicago Hope. Not too much soapy, and a great bunch of actors from Peter Berg and Mandy Patikin to Adam Arkin.

  4. Scrubs! Funny, correct information (for the most part, it was voted the most medically correct medical drama a few years ago)

  5. i actually don't watch any medical dramas except for royal pains. i started watching body of proof but then i stopped mid-second season. royal pains is a pretty good show but nowadays the plots are more about family and relationships and the medical stuff is filler. possibly thinking of watching house later on in the future...

  6. Oh, come on, where is Childrens Hospital? :p

  7. Scrubs it's my 2nd favorite TV series ever after LOST. The only other show I watched in this poll is Nip/Tuck. Both shows are in my Top 10.

  8. Scrubs & ER. Can't stand the rest.

  9. Grey's Anatomy and ER

  10. ER with DR Quinn as a close second

  11. I have to go with ER. It's one of the first shows I've ever seen and fell in love with!

  12. M*A*S*H, House and Srubs...

  13. ER,not even close..

  14. For me E.R. Grey's comes second.

  15. Hands down its ER! Then comes House and Grey's. Mash was in a class unto itself,it had a lot of comedy in it,so since your asking for drama i cannot consider it. In its day St. Elsewhere was a great medical drama,or was it just the guys it in that made it easy to watch?

  16. I've always considered House to be a crime series not a medical one

  17. Grey's Anatomy by far......

  18. E.R. That was appointment TV for me. The personal dramas of the characters and the medical dramas were equally compelling. There were scenes I'll never forget, such as the young mother dying giving birth, and Dr. Greene's death.

  19. Grey's Anatomy, although it's only because of its first seasons

  20. Some really good shows on there but it has to be ER for me.

  21. Only scripted Medical Drama I've ever watched willingly is Saving Hope (I've seen General Hospital too because I once was a teen and lived with my mother :P ). I have seen a few clips of Grey's Anatomy but I did not like it.

I do like Untold Stories Of The ER if that counts.

  22. I've only ever watched ER and even then, it was an episode here and there. Still, it was a wonderful show and I started sobbing at one point during the series finale and didn't stop until after it was over. I do wish TNT would start the reruns again.

  23. ohh my theres too much choice, im stuck between Greys's, ER, Scrubs and Dr Quinn.
Medical drama's are my all time favourite type of show

  24. The only medical shows I like are Hawthorne,Emily Owens MD,Hart of Dixie

  25. Like there's even a competition. ER!!!!!

  26. I think that M*A*S*H was actually considered a sitcom, but it's always going to get my vote, even if I wasn't born when it aired. It had compelling characters that you always rooted for, even when they were supposed to be ridiculous, and the humor was some of the best written I've seen. And it wasn't bogged down by relationship drama. It was real, it was creative, and it's one of my favorite shows of all time.

  27. I thought the same thing about MASH - I think they actually classified it a sitcom.

  28. Easily House. Then Scrubs. Then probably M*A*S*H. And Nip/Tuck would come up next only if we were counting the first 3 seasons. After that, no one comes close.

  29. Oh see i thought so to but its been a long time and i couldn't remember, thanks!

  30. Yes me too! I just checked Netflix to see if they had it,they do but not streaming...

  31. I was between E.R. and Grey's, but I had to favor the later because apart of being "a medical drama", Grey's had a fresh perspective on the whole "drama" approach overall, a certain quirkyness on the way of telling the story, and of course the characters.

Scrubs for all it's accuracy on the technical aspects, really dropped on quiality plot wise in the later seasons to the point is was not better than other sitcoms of the time. I mean, I love the show, but it lost its charm and honesty in the midst of sitcom slapstick.

  32. I voted House. It was my favourite medical drama.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ER definitly, it prepared the way for so many other medical dramas! Plus, my sister is a doctor and she says that ER is more realistic than... lets say Grey's.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Grey's Anatomy. House and Private Practice were also very good.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Not every show listed are dramas.
My first choice would have been E.R., if MASH was not in this poll.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ER, closely followed by House.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I love Greys and Scrubs, and PP is good, but I had to go GA over Scrubs :)

  38. Grey's Anatomy, House, E.R. and Private Practice (+ Scrubs)

  39. MASH or ER.. They where both great.

  40. ER by a mile, and then MASH for me
