THE NEW NORMAL — Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) new outlook has everyone concerned, leading Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to agree that going back to the normal routine of high school would be the best thing for her. Caroline (Candice Accola) is pleasantly surprised when Elena decides to rejoin the cheerleading squad, but her pleasure turns to shock when Elena’s behavior proves dangerous. Not giving up on their search for the cure, Damon and Rebekah (Claire Holt) work together until his unwanted advice catches her off-guard. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) tries to use Hayley (Guest star Phoebe Tonkin) to get the information he’s after and makes an intriguing discovery in the process. Meanwhile, a bored Elena throws a wild party and gets into an ugly fight. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Elisabeth R. Finch & Michael Narducci (#416).

Yeah it is completely safe to send a new vampire, who has just turned off her humanity, back to high school....

ReplyDeleteEither that or they figured most of the teenage girls are heartless anyway and she would fit right in =P. However Caroline takes cheer leading very seriously so don't mess with her! I want to see the Caroline Elena fight lol.
ReplyDeleteHaha teenage girls are cruel, but sending Elena to high school while she has no moral compass, she doesn't care if she kills anyone. The Salvatore brothers clearly do not know what is good for her atm. After seeing that promo, she is going to kill the entire cheerleading squad if Caroline doesn't stop her.
ReplyDeletewe need Silas-story too.. I'm glad about new Elena but we must see Silas in this episode or the episode after that.

ReplyDeleteCaroline is the baby sitter, but theoretically couldn't Damon say "don't kill people" and she'd effectively be muzzled?
ReplyDelete"Don't kill people" would mean that she should care as well. She is a vampire, without her humanity, which basically means that she can do whatever she pleases without feeling any guilt. Besides, Damon is not really the one to tell her that she cannot enjoy being a vampire...
ReplyDeleteCaroline and Stefan could babysit her, but if the promo is any indication she will attack/kill someone nonetheless. In my opinion, sending her back to school will only trigger her craving to feed on people. The fact that Elena will not care what happens to other people makes it a very stupid idea. But TVD wouldn't be TVD if it did not make things difficult for its characters =P
Can't wait to see a bad-ass Elena. Literally been waiting since early season 1. No mention of a Shane impersonating Silas??
ReplyDeletemy theory is that Klaus will discover (before 4x20 or after that), that Hayley is descendant of him.. both in the same werewolf line. but I don't know what will Klaus find out in Episode 16.

ReplyDeleteI meant by way of the sire bond. If he were to instruct her not to kill, she couldn't kill - effectively keeping from crossing lines at school.

Definitely an unpopular opinion but I wish the Klaus sex was a fling with Hayley. That'd be hot.
