The Original family of vampires will remain intact in their leap from The Vampire Diaries to their own series, planted spinoff The Originals. Claire Holt has been cast as a lead in Originals, which will be introduced in the April 25 episode of the CW drama. She will reprise her recurring TVD role as Rebekah, the vampire sister of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). The trio represents all surviving Original siblings as their two other brothers recently faced their demise on TVD.

And yes, they do have common sense!
ReplyDeleteNow let's get on with the resurrection thing and we're all set..
BEST NEWS EVER!
ReplyDeleteI'm okay with this but I was really hoping they'd make her a series regular on TVD instead. Either way, I'm glad she'll be sticking around.
ReplyDeleteYay!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still a little confused...What happens to the originals on The Vampire Diaries? Will they simply go away? I mean, there's a story with them involving the other characters!
ReplyDeleteIf the pilot makes it to series (which it most likely will) TVD will have to wrap up whatever Original storylines they can before the end of the season when the characters move on.
ReplyDeleteNO, the best news would be if Candice Accola joined instead. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with Claire Holt, I like her and he carachter but Candice is definitely the most wanted for a lot of people. I keep my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteThere's too many female characters in comparison to male, they could do with adding another one or two men to the cast.
ReplyDeleteFinally news about Rebekah. She has been the highlight of the season for me, so I am very glad she will be around next year on a permanent capacity. This being said, I am adoring her with Stefan so I would like for that to be somehow long-term, meaning I would rather have her on TVD. However, I suppose it makes more sense to have her on The Originals and I am sure she will be given plenty of material to shine over there. I will laugh if we all end up liking the spin-off more than the original next season, although the mere fact that klauss is finally going away means that tvd has a huge shot of improving its quality (they need to close the triangle as well, or make it background like in the first two seasons)
ReplyDeleteThat! Resurrection please!!!!!!!!! I need the other originals around (at least Kol!)
ReplyDeleteRebakah!!! Really good news, it is title "The originals" after all. It would be so much fun to have Kol in too... I guess we will see him in flashbacks but I loved the scene with all the siblings in Klaus's living room, arguing with each other. For me, it was really a wrong step to kill Kol... his scene wasn't that necessary for the plot, they could have dagger-ed him! I still have hope to see him resurrected by Silas (but I waited for Sirius Black to come back from the dead for some years, so... my resurrection predictions are not really good, sadly)
