It was another fun chat with Lilith. We agreed on some things and not on others. Basically we were both happy that the brothers were getting along and we both were glad that Edlund was reigned in a bit for this episode. We disagree on whether we'd like to see Aaron back again. I am pro-Aaron but Lilith is wary that if he does return he would end up being douchey and would rather not risk it.
ReplyDeleteI'd like him back but it's inevitable he'll be used in way that makes the brothers look stupid and unnecessary. Probably give a kosher version of the "suck it up" speech to Dean.
ReplyDeleteI love these podcasts by the way. They are so cathartic after watching and sometimes clears my mind so I can really figure out if I loved or hated an episode. I'm not always sure lol.

The opinions are little bit different on this episode from you both although I can see where each of you is coming from, Lilith more positive in light of the iffy first episodes, while Dahne a bit more critical. Both POV's are valid in this case.

I'm not connecting well with this season at all although from the Larp episode onwards the episodes have been completely different from what has gone before, in an upward spiral, concentrating more on the brothers which is what I watch for.

I'm still sitting on the side-lines though, waiting to see what happens now.
Surprisingly I'm not sure where I stand on a lot of episodes this season myself. Usually I am pretty concrete but this season has been ugly for the most part. Hard to see shades of suckitude sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI think as the show starts to feel more and more like Supernatural instead of Soapernatural, Lilith and I will disagree more and more. We actually rarely agreed last season which is why Lilith asked me to partner with her. We were supposed to come from different angles to make the podcast more interesting. Instead the whole first half of the season went catawumpus and we ended up agreeing more than we ever had, except maybe for season 4.
