Reign- SpoilerTV CW pilot preview
15 Feb 2013
Pilot Shows
Reign is very much a relationship drama/ SOAP just set with historical characters. The pilot is extremely sexual for a network tv series, it follows Mary being sent to France to be with her betrothed Francis who doesn't want to marry her for political reasons but his father is forcing him to marry her, Queen Catherine has a prophet who prophesizes that Mary will cause Francis' death and the Queen is set on taking down Mary by any means necessary including paying someone to rape her so she could fail the virginity test. There is alot of focus on Mary's companions and their love lives, the pilot is very sexually focused. There is some subplot regarding dead bodies in the woods that seems intriguing but on the whole the script of The Selection 2.0 was much stronger.

I agree 100%
ReplyDeleteOk. Now, Oxygen!
ReplyDeleteWill not make it to series, this would be better on cable with a bigger budget, a better cast and no limits on the content.
ReplyDeleteI don't see this making it to series, especially on the cw... They have way better pilots than this (at least sounding like)
ReplyDeleteThis sounded bad the first time I read about it and now it sounds even worse!
ReplyDeleteIf Oxygen doesn't make it to series, Aimee Teegarden will have made a big mistake for not staying with The Selection.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, it'll depend on the casting and various elements. Historical soaps and exotic countries with awesome clothes would do well on the CW, I think. Since it sounds like a middle ages or renaissance type of story, I can imagine dashing young men who would literally be knights in shiny armor , not to forget swashbuckling musketeers, servant mischief or troubles, lady's maids scheming, forbidden loves, foreign aristocrats caught in war or as hostages, treason, sieges, this kind of thing.
ReplyDeletecan u guys post previews on Selection 2.0 and oxygen?

ReplyDeleteNow it's time for The Originals, Oxygen and Company Town's previews...
ReplyDeleteDid you see the script or see a treatment of the plot?
ReplyDeleteScript
ReplyDeleteWell im not sure if it was her decision to leave or the CW decided to move her to Oxygen, CW was happy with her performance in Selection 1.0 but her character has been significantly changed since then she lost the innocent/vulnerable side and is now much more strong/tough/outspoken/defiant
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound all that promising.
ReplyDeleteHere's the thing people -- the true life story of Mary Queen of Scots is already uber-dramatic with enormous highs and lows and full of teen-like moments that the CW doesn't need to make the story of her life up...if what I read above is true, they should rename all the characters and make it true fiction...because it is not true story, is FICTION!
ReplyDeletei was wondering if you can talk about the part of lola in the script?
ReplyDelete@disqus_ylAgesXW7k:disqus Its not publically available.
ReplyDeleteand can be read in person?
ReplyDeleteThis show sounds so much better than the other pilots they're producing and the pictures form set look incredible. I'd put it on par stylistically with Game of Thrones meets The Tudors. I don't know what you people are talking about, but you probably watch stupid reality tv all day long anyways. this show has some of the most promise for a new series on a network that could be making the boldest choice to date.
ReplyDeleteI agree. What's with all the negativity? It sounds very promising and I'm excited to see how everything gets laid out.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon. Where can I read the pilot script, "Reign"? I'd like to.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon. Can you tell us a little about the character Lola?
ReplyDeleteTerrible premise. Won't make it to series and shouldn't make to series -- especially not on CW.
