A while ago I had a great opportunity to watch the Season 7 premiere of Psych. And since we’re just a week away from the show’s big return I’m thinking it’s about time to share with you my thoughts about the much anticipated episode.
First of all, I absolutely loved it! Just the right amount of drama and comedy I needed after such a long hiatus. And the show picks up right where they left off. What I can say is that, Shawn does NOT take the shooting of his father well. To be honest, he quickly starts acting in a very destructive, ala Martin Riggs from Lethal Weapon way.
Luckily he has absolutely the best team there to have his back. Now a little tease about every member of it. There’s someone with the plan, someone to fight the bad guys, someone to keep an eye for Shawn’s behavior, someone to encourage our psychic to keep looking and Woody. Well, Woody becomes very attached to a certain object which is…at the very least, out of place. Care to guess about the others?
The episode also features a familiar, though not necessarily welcomed by the others, character. It’s one of the funny aspects of the premiere. Also, a lot of snacks! Nothing can stop Gus and Shawn from eating them, even potentially dangerous situation.
To sum up, there’s a lot of action, humor, twists and turns, also unfortunately placed mine, at least one car “incident” and more of the greatness from the show and its characters.
I’m giving the episode 5/5 (for awesome) and I hope you’re going to enjoy it as much as I did!
Don’t miss the season 7 premiere of Psych, airing next Wednesday, February 27 at 10/9C on USA.
