BATB because out of all those shows it has the better ratings I can see them moving it to Fridays though possibly with Nikita I also hope they do an early cancellation of 90210 so they can wrap it up with a Series Finale
Putting aside my obvious favoritism where Nikita is concerned, I think it makes the most sense, business-wise, to renew this one early. This show's fate least depends on its ratings in coming episodes because the main reason it was renewed for its *current* season was getting it to syndication. They're not going to throw that away when they're so close to the coveted 88 episodes, unless there's some kind of unfathomable ratings disaster (I was worried when it got 0.3's and even 0.2 once, but moving it back to 8pm managed to stop the downfall). Whereas with the other shows, syndication is already in the bag (9O21O) or too far away (BatB, TCD, Cult), so ratings matter much more and the network will want to wait to see how they hold. HoD is the only one that might benefit from syndication prospects. 9O21O should be cancelled, in my opinion. The CW is toast unless it cleans house when it comes to teen dramas and puts most of its effort into genre shows, the kind that are working for them. And given how the shortened final season of Gossip Girl turned out, it's not likely to perform well.
Unless they announce this as 90210's final season or Cult is a huge hit then I think the rest may be left till May. I think they'll want to see how the bubble shows do in the run in to the end of the season and see how their pilot season pans out before they make final decisions on next seasons schedule.
If cw really wants to rebrand the network like they've been saying then none of these should be renewed. All these shows are crap and should be cancelled so new pilots can have a chance
Hmm I would say Nikita or The Carrie Diaries. I don't care for Beauty & The Beast and Hart Of Dixie, just because I don't watch them. And 90210 deserves to be cancelled.
What are you talking about BATB got 1.48 and 0.6 and the previous 2 weeks got a 0.7 and over 1.7 million viewers alot higher then Nikita renewing Nikita wouldn't help it ratings wise
total viewers doesn't actually matter, the thing that kept GG going was cost effectiveness. The final season would have been given the go ahead because of the money it could make from DVD, syndication and international sales.
I do not get why people hate Beauty and the beast so much. It's a good show if you don't like it, don't say rude things about it, because that definds only you not the show... Nikita and BATB should be renewed, I don't watch the others.
If Nikita gets renewed, it won't be because The CW believes its ratings can grow, only because they want to get it to syndication (which requires a full fourth season that will bring them to 88). As such, Nikita's ratings in its remaining episodes this season, and the issue of how they'll hold up next season, are much less relevant than with the other shows.
I think it will be Nikita; it has held on avarage of The CW lately on Fridays, pulling consistantly 0.5s, so I see no reason not to renew ir, besides is only 1 season away from syndication, so that's a sure deal. After last season cancellation of The Secret Circle (which avaraged better than Beauty & The Beast), I think the CW will wait to see if Beauty & The Beas can hold an audience out of TVD, so they won't renew it (or cancel it) until May. And so HoD and Carrie Dairies. I could see the choice being taken on 90210 soon, though
People who don't watch BatB or are still bitter about The Secret Circle love to talk sh*t about that show but the fact is that after the three shows that were renewed today, it's CW's next highest rated show. BatB also won yesterday's daily poll by far more than a 2:1 margin. It turns out that this show has a crazy-loyal fanbase.
I hate when people lie and think that the rest of us are just stupid enough to believe them, yeah Carrie Diaries had better demo numbers last week last week by the FIRST time and that's it, the rest of them B&TB has had better numbers than the rest of the shows in this list, you're not the only one aware of news Jeanne.
speaking from the ratings 90210 is definitely dead but might get a final season. and nikita's ratings doesn't matter because renewing it for a third season almost guarantees a fourth for syndication. as for beauty and the beast its on the same ratings level as hart of dixie and carrie diaries and seeing HoD is in its second season and BaTB in its first and has TVD's lead in and doing the same as HoD. i can see beauty going and hart staying.
plz renew Nikita and BATB, end 90210 it had a good run and cancel Carrie Diaries dont know care either way about HoD like the show but I know there are better shows out there
I love Hart of Dixie, but it hasn't really had much Season 2 growth, has it?. So if they renew it, it will be like with Nikita where they're stuck with it for syndication reasons. So as sad as it would be, would renewing it really be smart from a business perspective?
Nikita will likely get renewed for syndication purposes. 90210 is doing nothing for the network at this point. So cancel it. There's more than enough time for the writers to wrap things up. And I'm sure two of the shows from 2012-2013 will be renewed.
I give a shit about other shows, I don't care if Nikita or HOD are or not renewed or if people who watch VD don't watch B&TB, I know thursdays nights are very competitive and it's really hard for any show to keep up with all the competition, I used to watch Supernatural and I know how shitty its numbers were, even when it was LEAD-IN for VD on thursdays, and nevertheless now it's getting a 9th, season, once again you're preaching to the choir, I know the facts, and that's all I am saying, lead-in or not in the hardest night of the week, B&TB is getting better numbers than any other in this list. P.S. No, I'm not happy.
It is but I've been reading the comments and the votes on each of the comments and not just in the section of the show but about this renewing, canceling question... And it seems like to me that some people have so much hatred and I just don't get it.
I like Nikita as much as the next person but it has NEVER beaten Beauty and the Beast in demo or viewers or a new episode. Carrie Diaries has only beaten it once thus far. Beauty in the Beast is the CW's fourth highest rated show, no question.
Actually Nikita has a better lead-in than Beauty and the Beast in many markets. The CW is doing so miserably that its local shows (news, sports) and especially its syndicated comedy reruns do far better than new episodes of CW programming. That's why Nikita saw a boost when they moved it to the earlier time slot. On other networks you would have a case, but not on the CW. It's also why usually the earlier hour is higher rated than the second hour. Besides retention numbers don't matter near as much as the demos, which by the way are crummy for all the non-renewed shows.
If you are saying quality wise, that is subjective. I too think Nikita is better than Beauty and the Beast, but that's just opinions. If you are saying by data, you are going to have to prove it and claiming Nikita has no lead-in is downright false. Most CW stations do better not in prime time than they do with the 2 hours of original CW programming. Every show has a lead-in and on this netlet, the most successful lead-ins are usually in the pre-primetime hours. There's a reason Nikita jumped when it was pushed an hour earlier.
I also think Nikita will be renewed, but to be honest the CW was already a laughing stock when it renewed Nikita last year. I see them making the announcement with the others and kind of hiding it in the PR. There's not a whole lot of ways you can spin Nikita and to announce it by itself would mean giving its poor ratings sole focus. I don't expect to see it renewed until the others are.
Hindsight is 20/20. The CW didn't know it was going to flop considering that the final season announcement worked well for Smallville and One Tree Hill. They expected a similar bump for Gossip Girl. The question is whether they will risk it for 90210, which is doing arguably worse than GG was last year.
Agreed. I think everything left on the CW roster will be announced shortly before upfronts because everything is too close to tell right now, at least ratings wise.
Even Netflix money won't allow this to happen and quite honestly this season of pilots didn't do so hot, although it is better than last year. Arrow is a hit for sure, but Emily Owens tanked while BatB and Carrie Diaries are barely hanging on. They need to spend their money rebranding to reach a new clientele, which doesn't necessarily mean cutting everything. At least 3 new shows will air which has the potential to tip the balance over to an older and more male clientele. They just need to market the genre shift better.
Don't let it bother you. Some people are still bitter about cancellations last year. Others realize that if BatB gets renewed there is a far greater chance that their favorite will not. Things will only get worse as we get closer to May and the uncertainty grows. If BatB can get back up to 0.7's, it will be fine. Depending onwhat happens across the board in spring, it could be fine with 0.6's too.
Out of these the only show I am still watching is Nikita. However ratings wise Nikita should have been killed off years ago. The fact that it hasn't suggests that they are making money with it elsewhere instead of the traditional adverts and DVD sales. I expect Nikita to wrap up its run next year but if it isn't touted as the final season, I might just start believing crazy fan conspiracy theories. :-)
Since all these shows have very similar ratings, unless something changes during spring it is going to get worse for fans instead of better. How cheap the CW gets them and how much advertisers and Netflix are willing to pay will be the deciding factors. Since we don't see these numbers I have a feeling the CW in May is going to feel like they just picked a name out of a hat.
With Smallville and OTH, it was relatively stable. With GG it was flopping hard, barely even edging out 1 million anymore, that should've been more than enough hindsight to see where it was heading.
Even the demos were terrible. GG was anything but cost effective, it's a very costly show with on location shots in NY, fashion designer clothes, etc. It didn't really help.
I don't mean to split hairs or be petty, but I still don't get why renewing Nikita is any more embarrassing than their other bubble shows. How different is a Mon-Thur show getting 0.5 or 0.6 (like TCD or HoD) from a Friday show getting 0.4 or 0.5? It's undeniable that Nikita's ratings are dreadful, but they have to be viewed in the context of the overall CW situation. Putting "the big 3" aside, none of their shows get numbers you'll want to brag about in a renewal press release. That being said, I get the separation of the successful shows from the others. This particular announcement is basically the network patting itself on the back for its success stories, so they weren't going to put a low-rated show in there even if they already know it's coming back. As such, yeah, I assume Nikita's renewal *knock on wood* will only be announced at upfronts in May.
Do you reckon there's a chance of it moving? God knows it won't move off Friday, and I hope The CW isn't dumb enough to push it back to 9pm on that night (do they want to start seeing 0.2's regularly?). Some - unsurprisingly, most of them on TVBTN - have suggested it'll move to the summer. I realize I'm biased here, but I have a hard time seeing that because it currently serves as Friday filler. If the network decides to exile Nikita to summer programming, they're stuck with TWO Fridays slots to sort out for next fall, not a desirable position.
With 90210 flopping harder than ever, Nikita doesn't look nearly as bad with all the flak it gets. I would hope that the CW wants to get out of its' mediocre 0.5 - 0.7 bubble sometime soon.
I actually think moving Nikita to summer would be a god thing for it. Cable shows of a similar vien like Covert Affairs and Burn Notice tend to do better in the summer. I think the same thing would happen with Nikita and I know the CW wants to start having mroe original programming in the summer. However, I don't seeit debuting in the summer because there isn't enough time to do it this summer and that would mean a year hiatus for an already struggling show if they waited until next summer. I think the most interesting solution would to have it debut midseason and continue without breaks into the summer
Last year, unless my recollection is wrong, Nikita became the lowest rated network show in history to be renewed for a full season. That in itself was the issue. This year unless it stabilizes in the 0.5's during the spring it will have an even lower rating, beating its own record as lowest show to be renewed because let's face it, 90210 is not getting a full season next year. It may not even get a partial one at this rate. Yes the other CW shows are doing terribly also. Yes all CW ratings are an embarrassment, even The Vampire Diaries in the big scheme of things, but there can only be one lowest rated and so that is the one that will be talked about the most. It makes more sense that they would wait to do all low rated renewals at the same time. It wouldn't surprise me if they paired the renewal notices with news of the pilots or fall schedule so that they can deflect some of the talk away from the CW's horrible ratings.
Except that no one thinks 90210 will get a full season renewal so no one is focusing on it in the renewal race. The real issue is Nikita's rise to 0.5 two times now. If it continues to rise or even stabilizes in the 0.5's, it will not get quite the backlash when it is renewed as it did last year when people had legitimate complaints about a show with that low of ratings being renewed over others with higher ratings.
Gossip Girl was stabilizing in the 0.5 and 0.6 range last year, which is not good by any stretch, but was hovering around the same ratings as many other shows at that time. Both Smallville and OTH I believe went up in ratings for their final year. To me that means they wouldn't be crazy to think Gossip Girl could be hitting 0.7 or 0.6 in their final season. That would have made it decent enough to allow fans closure. Add to it the fact that Gossip Girl, even with terrible ratings, was still bringing in decent ad rates last year and I think it was an acceptable gamble. It didn't pan out but that's the TV business.
It did get renewed last season when it was getting 0.4s. Clearly they had no qualms of low ratings, they renewed GG and it tanked in its' final season, people only wanted to see it end. I guess they want to get that syndication.
Early renewals are only for their safest shows, so Arrow, Supernatural, and VD makes the most sense. Nikita's fate will probably be lumped in with the bubble shows as expected. CW is still in an embarassing state, especially with 90210 flopping harder than ever.
Gossip Girl wasn't struggling any harder in spring last year than it was in the winter. It started at 0.7 and 0.6's. After the midseason hiatus it returned with 0.6's and 0.5's. It continued with a 0.6 / 0.5 average for the rest of the year. That's pretty steady. The only show that had a big spring drop off was The Secret Circle.
I am not sure what show you are referencing here. If you are talking about Nikita, then yes it did have 0.4's when it was renewed. Other higher rated shows were cancelled and that's why many people have a problem with Nikita. The big difference between Nikita and 90210 though is that 90210 already has enough episodes for full syndication while Nikita does not. I'm not saying that 90210 won't get a final season renewal, because as bad of an idea as that is, it could. No way it gets renewed for a full season though. As far as Nikita goes, I'm not sure that ratings in America is really the ultimate prize. It seems like there may be something to international contracts fans are always touting. Nikita was obviously making enough money for the WB to practically give it to the CW for 2+ years but that money is definitely NOT coming from US ad sales. Again the CW had good ad rates for Gossip Girl and they expected that the final season would get a OTH/Smallville rise. It was a good gamble that didn't pay off, especially since the CW marketing team does not seem capable of adequately covering 3 new shows at a time.
Hart Of Dixie. And it's not only because from the lot I like it the best but I say this because I think objectivelly from all those shows it's the only one that is performing the best, all factors considered.
I guess it just frustrates me that Nikita gets the brunt of the jeering and snark because it's the one stuck on Friday. I don't think any of the people who mock its ratings can honestly say that Ringer, TSC, Gossip Girl, BatB, HoD or TCD would have performed better in Nikita's slot in the past two seasons - they all rate(d) merely one or two tenths above it. Granted, we can play the "what if" game forever and theoretical scenarios are pointless to discuss anyway. But the only important thing is that Nikita's still around. Lord knows, I'd rather be a Nikita fan and have my show laughed at for something that doesn't remotely detract from its quality, than a TSC or Ringer fan who got shafted.
Interesting - have they ever done that before (premiere a show during the broadcast season and have it carry into the summer)? I guess it can be done if they have a half-season show on the 2013/2014 schedule, like a shortened final season for 90210. Alternatively, they could have an uninterrupted run of Nikita in the first half of the season, and replace it with Top Model in midseason (I believe the next cycle is this summer, which means the one after is in winter/spring 2014, and it's only a handful of episodes per cycle so there's still room to fit it in after Nikita's done). Either way, minimal or no breaks would be a good thing for Nikita since it's serialized, especially in the second half of each season. I believe the breaks hurt it in the past 2 years (Pedowitz actually cited this as a reason for the serialized Ringer tanking, though I guess there was more to it than that), and their attempt to do more self-contained stories this season only resulted in fan backlash.
It got one 0.4, which does not a trend make and it certainly didn't mean a sharp decline in ratings for the entire spring. After the winter hiatus GG had an equal number of 0.5's and 0.6's (it got 6 of each), one 0.7, and one 0.4, which does not average to a 0.5. It sounds like you are trying to paint a worse scenario of Gossip Girl's situation than it actually got. It wasn't in good shape at all, but certainly not so far behind the other shows to kick GG fans to the curb after their previous successes with final season ratings bumps. I was no fan of GG but facts remain that it wasn't the dumbest thing the CW has ever done when they renewed it. They might have gotten bitten by the decision in reality but they had solid reasons to try. Since this conversation is obviously going round and round and I think the statistics prove my point, I will end the conversation here.
I suspect part of the reason GG got the final season treatment was also that it was essentially The CW's flagship show, Dawn Ostroff's "legacy", etc. Never mind that I think it's a legacy no network should want, ever... but it was essentially the poster child for what the early CW was. And with One Tree Hill, I wasn't following ratings back then but I believe its ratings weren't even too bad when it was greenlit for a shortened final season, were they? Added to the fact that it was such a long-running show (then in its eighth season), giving it a final season was no surprise. By comparison, I'm not sure The CW cares as much about 90210. Its run hasn't been that long, and it's never been as iconic - for better or worse - as GG. Certainly, it performed well in its early years, but I doubt that alone justifies "honoring" it with a final season. If there's no closure in this season's finale, though, it would be nice of them to order an extra 2 episodes where the writers can wrap things up. Then they wouldn't have another bitter fanbase on their hands (not that 90210 fans are as rabid as other shows', anyway).
OTH had a fairly steady performance and it was a long running show, so it's understandable. 90210 is embarassing, it doesn't need a final season, it just needs to wrap things up this season, which they can do since there aren't any real complex storylines. Considering it only got an abysmal 0.3, it doesn't really have that many fans left.
Why they always compared BATB to TSC, just because they shared the same time slot? 9-10 Thursday night is the most competitive night for any new show, even with the "great lead in"that TVD is supposed to be, but the fact of the matter is that they are two complete different shows, they also have different age group viewership, BATB is more towards all kind of ages while I only watched 2 or 3 episodes of TSC I could never get myself into teen witches so Im hoping the CW renews BATB next, its a really good show it has heart and soul and the chemistry of the lead actors is amazing I havent been hooked to a show since Roswell, Viva BATB!!!!!!!
Asi es Carmen y todos en el extranjero (fuera de USA) tienen que apoyar esta serie atravez de estos polls y cualquier cosa que este en la internet. Si se puede salvar BATB :)
BATB is becoming so popular is crazy, hopefully more people realize what they have been missing the show started really weak but has become the obsession of many, it has everything, maybe not the best quality but is a show that takes you away for the 1 hour run....I really recommend it instead of bashing it!!!!!!
Beauty and the Beast for sure. I have lost interest in every other show but this one. It's THAT good that I don't even need to supplement it with any other show. It needs to have at least 5 more seasons as a minumun<3
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Nikita !!!
ReplyDeleteDixie for sure!
ReplyDeleteNikita of course.

ReplyDeleteThird season for Nikita without lead-in! > BATB first season with the best lead-in!

ReplyDeleteNikita. Easily.
ReplyDeleteNIKITA!
ReplyDeleteI voted for Hart of Dixie, but to be honest I would not mind if they cancelled all or most of these shows and came up with something better.

ReplyDeleteNikita : 3rd season : no lead-in!
ReplyDeleteHOD : 2nd season : no lead-in!
BATB : 1st season : 12 episodes : TVD lead-in : -50% of its audience!
You're happy? Really? LOL!!

ReplyDeleteIt is but I've been reading the comments and the votes on each of the comments and not just in the section of the show but about this renewing, canceling question... And it seems like to me that some people have so much hatred and I just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteNikita gets my vote for sure
ReplyDeleteNikita.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast!!!! Great show!!
ReplyDeleteHart of Dixie definitely!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch anything else other than Nikita. I'm genre specific and my genre is spy-fi. So... NIKITA please.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeauty & the Beast, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteB&tB I love the show, and beasties are doing the best to keep it on air. All over the world (Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Spain,...) Listen CW!
ReplyDelete90210 AND HART OF DIXIE. CARRIE DIARIES TOO. NIKITA AND BATB CANCEL. I WATCH NIKITA BUT THE OTHER SHOWS ARE BETTER
ReplyDeleteOnly BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast!!!
ReplyDeleteI like Nikita as much as the next person but it has NEVER beaten Beauty and the Beast in demo or viewers or a new episode. Carrie Diaries has only beaten it once thus far. Beauty in the Beast is the CW's fourth highest rated show, no question.
ReplyDeletecarrie diaries, of course!!
ReplyDeleteActually Nikita has a better lead-in than Beauty and the Beast in many markets.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural was never the lead-in for Vampire Diaries. VD always came first. It's the one show that has not moved in its entire run.
ReplyDeleteIf you are saying quality wise, that is subjective.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Ratings will be more likely to determine where it goes on the schedule, not IF it is on the schedule.
ReplyDeleteI also think Nikita will be renewed, but to be honest the CW was already a laughing stock when it renewed Nikita last year. I see them making the announcement with the others and kind of hiding it in the PR. There's not a whole lot of ways you can spin Nikita and to announce it by itself would mean giving its poor ratings sole focus. I don't expect to see it renewed until the others are.
ReplyDeleteHindsight is 20/20. The CW didn't know it was going to flop considering that the final season announcement worked well for Smallville and One Tree Hill. They expected a similar bump for Gossip Girl. The question is whether they will risk it for 90210, which is doing arguably worse than GG was last year.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I think everything left on the CW roster will be announced shortly before upfronts because everything is too close to tell right now, at least ratings wise.
ReplyDeleteEven Netflix money won't allow this to happen and quite honestly this season of pilots didn't do so hot, although it is better than last year.
ReplyDeleteDon't let it bother you.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and The Beast :) No question.
ReplyDeleteOut of these the only show I am still watching is Nikita. :-)
ReplyDeleteSince all these shows have very similar ratings, unless something changes during spring it is going to get worse for fans instead of better.
ReplyDeleteEven the demos were terrible. GG was anything but cost effective, it's a very costly show with on location shots in NY, fashion designer clothes, etc. It didn't really help.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the early renewals are for their 3 safest shows on top.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to split hairs or be petty, but I still don't get why renewing Nikita is any more embarrassing than their other bubble shows.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I get the separation of the successful shows from the others.
ReplyDeleteSome - unsurprisingly, most of them on TVBTN - have suggested it'll move to the summer. I realize I'm biased here, but I have a hard time seeing that because it currently serves as Friday filler. If the network decides to exile Nikita to summer programming, they're stuck with TWO Fridays slots to sort out for next fall, not a desirable position.
HART OF DIXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE PLEASE
ReplyDeleteWith 90210 flopping harder than ever, Nikita doesn't look nearly as bad with all the flak it gets. I would hope that the CW wants to get out of its' mediocre 0.5 - 0.7 bubble sometime soon.
ReplyDeletesorry, I thought it meant the opposite, but you've got my point.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Diaries <3
ReplyDeleteNikita! Easy...
ReplyDeleteI actually think moving Nikita to summer would be a god thing for it.
ReplyDeleteLast year, unless my recollection is wrong, Nikita became the lowest rated network show in history to be renewed for a full season.
ReplyDeleteExcept that no one thinks 90210 will get a full season renewal so no one is focusing on it in the renewal race. The real issue is Nikita's rise to 0.5 two times now. If it continues to rise or even stabilizes in the 0.5's, it will not get quite the backlash when it is renewed as it did last year when people had legitimate complaints about a show with that low of ratings being renewed over others with higher ratings.
ReplyDeleteNikita!
ReplyDeleteGossip Girl was stabilizing in the 0.5 and 0.6 range last year, which is not good by any stretch, but was hovering around the same ratings as many other shows at that time.
ReplyDelete90210, Hart of Dixie and The Carrie Diaries.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but it was struggling hard in the spring, gambling isn't always a wise risk, especially this one. 90210 is even worse.
ReplyDeleteIt did get renewed last season when it was getting 0.4s. Clearly they had no qualms of low ratings, they renewed GG and it tanked in its' final season, people only wanted to see it end. I guess they want to get that syndication.
ReplyDeleteEarly renewals are only for their safest shows, so Arrow, Supernatural, and VD makes the most sense. Nikita's fate will probably be lumped in with the bubble shows as expected. CW is still in an embarassing state, especially with 90210 flopping harder than ever.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast all the way!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGossip Girl wasn't struggling any harder in spring last year than it was in the winter. It started at 0.7 and 0.6's. After the midseason hiatus it returned with 0.6's and 0.5's. It continued with a 0.6 / 0.5 average for the rest of the year. That's pretty steady. The only show that had a big spring drop off was The Secret Circle.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what show you are referencing here.
ReplyDeleteIt dropped to 0.4 in the penultimate episode, it was averaging 0.5 and only barely got 0.6 2-3 times in the 2nd half of the season.
ReplyDeleteHart Of Dixie. And it's not only because from the lot I like it the best but I say this because I think objectivelly from all those shows it's the only one that is performing the best, all factors considered.
ReplyDeleteI guess it just frustrates me that Nikita gets the brunt of the jeering and snark because it's the one stuck on Friday.
ReplyDeleteBut the only important thing is that Nikita's still around.
ReplyDeleteEither way, minimal or no breaks would be a good thing for Nikita since it's serialized, especially in the second half of each season. I believe the breaks hurt it in the past 2 years (Pedowitz actually cited this as a reason for the serialized Ringer tanking, though I guess there was more to it than that), and their attempt to do more self-contained stories this season only resulted in fan backlash.
The Secret Circle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast absolutely!
ReplyDeleteIt got one 0.4, which does not a trend make and it certainly didn't mean a sharp decline in ratings for the entire spring.
ReplyDeleteI suspect part of the reason GG got the final season treatment was also that it was essentially The CW's flagship show, Dawn Ostroff's "legacy", etc.
ReplyDeleteBy comparison, I'm not sure The CW cares as much about 90210.
ReplyDelete90210 is embarassing, it doesn't need a final season, it just needs to wrap things up this season, which they can do since there aren't any real complex storylines. Considering it only got an abysmal 0.3, it doesn't really have that many fans left.
Beauty & The Beast. SO much potential there for a great couple of seasons. < 3
ReplyDeletePlease sign for HART OF DIXIE to be renewed!!! http://twitition.com/v9pry
ReplyDelete9О21О!
ReplyDeleteI WANT TO SEE JESSICA LOWNDES! SAVE HER SHOW!
Carrie Diaries, definitely!
ReplyDeleteI dont get how such a popular show on the internet has such low viewings! Its crazy! :(
ReplyDeleteWhy they always compared BATB to TSC, just because they shared the same time slot? 9-10 Thursday night is the most competitive night for any new show, even with the "great lead in"that TVD is supposed to be, but the fact of the matter is that they are two complete different shows, they also have different age group viewership, BATB is more towards all kind of ages while I only watched 2 or 3 episodes of TSC I could never get myself into teen witches so Im hoping the CW renews BATB next, its a really good show it has heart and soul and the chemistry of the lead actors is amazing I havent been hooked to a show since Roswell, Viva BATB!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAsi es Carmen y todos en el extranjero (fuera de USA) tienen que apoyar esta serie atravez de estos polls y cualquier cosa que este en la internet. Si se puede salvar BATB :)
ReplyDeleteBATB is becoming so popular is crazy, hopefully more people realize what they have been missing the show started really weak but has become the obsession of many, it has everything, maybe not the best quality but is a show that takes you away for the 1 hour run....I really recommend it instead of bashing it!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey did the same thing to Secret Circle, when they compared that to Nikita because of the same timeslot.
ReplyDeleteBATB ♥
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Nikita. The rest can get canceled.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the beast !!!
ReplyDeleteThe Carrie Diaries
ReplyDeleteCarrie Diaries Please
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for another season for Beauty and the Beast and Hart of Dixie!!
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the beast, Forever !
ReplyDeletehart of dixie of course
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast for sure. I have lost interest in every other show but this one. It's THAT good that I don't even need to supplement it with any other show. It needs to have at least 5 more seasons as a minumun<3
ReplyDeleteI love BATB soooo much<3 It needs to stay forever or at the very least another few seasons!
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast
ReplyDelete:)
Beauty and the Beast has amazing storyline potential, it'll be insane to NOT have it back!
ReplyDeleteNothin but BATB!!
ReplyDelete
