Definitely the ending, seeing (nearly) all of the recurring good guys working together (even if in some small amount)... Fusco and Carter, then Leon, then Bear, then finally Reese and Finch themselves.
'We finally meet one of the government teams, supposedly preventing terrorism. Too bad they’re getting suspicious of Special Council!' definitely my favorite part know the relevant side............plus every single scene with Shaw be a female version of Mr. Reese. Another great scene Shaw and Root, wow.............the dialogue between Finch and Shaw was amazing too..............the open scene was fantastic too................plus the relevant side meet the irrelevant side and team machine (Reese, Finch, Fusco, Carter and a guest star Ken Leung (Leon)) save Shaw at the last scene.
Don't know if it was aproblem with my TV o rsignal or what, but the music seemed really loud and intrusive this episode; at times (especially in the early scenes), I could barely hear the dialogue over it.
It was a difficult choice for me but I have to go for the drug dealers & the beer scene. I loved this character. She's awesome and a great example of what one means when they use the term "badass"
I voted for... -Shaw's introduction. She's awesome, and I just loved that they decided to have her as the main character in this episode. She even got a ''cool gals don't look at explosions'' moment in her introduction! -Shaw vs. Root. It was just so cool to have those two in the same room together. I was wondering who would ''win'' that round, and I really didn't want either of them to lose so I'm glad that Root got out of there in time. -Shaw meeting Finch. Something about this scene (probably MICHAEL EMERSON) just made the show feel so grand and important. Everything came together, and seeing Finch for the first time in this episode felt so good. Like I never realized what a great character he really is, even though I always did.
One of the best episodes we ve ever seen in POI !!! All the scenes with Shaw were extremely amazing but the meeting between Finch and Shaw blew my mind!!!
Oh, I forgot to mention... After Shaw shot Reese and she went outside, and there were people there on the ground, holding their knees in pain. That made me laugh. REESE WAS HERE.
Loved when Shaw took out the drug dealers, she reminded me of Sidney Bristow in Alias, the original Badass, with a capital B.. Tbh i think that's where Shaw came from.
Honestly, my favorite part was the Machine. From the 1/2 second intro onward, the episode seemed to flip to the Relevant portion of the Machine. The first graphic seemed to suggest it too, with the "anomaly" leading right into things. Also, in the quick surveillance flashes, there were a lot more red squares in those pictures than any other time. Plus, the intro to indigo squares!
It's like for all of the previous episodes, we saw only the Contingency function that Nathan built because it dealt with only the Irrelevants. With this one, we saw mainly the Relevant side. Blue/indigo squares mean relevant assets? Or just people who take down the terrorists but have no true knowledge of the Machine?
Also loved the scenes with Root. I'm just wondering how she escaped if she didn't leave through the front door. (it was obviously a different door than the one the hit squad entered through) Secret staircase? Hid in the closet till everyone left?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't a huge fan of this episode, but it did have its moments. I voted for the iron scene, just 'cuz I'm kinda freaky that way.

Shaw waking up until the end of the episode (so I voted "nothing revives like dog kisses").
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that too and it was funny in a way.
ReplyDeleteReese is in the house hahahaha
ReplyDeleteNot to mention some awesome music.
