Wow...AWESOME episode!!!I love when the boys become one in fighting!!!Like when they shot together that Nazi in the head!!!I liked the Golem :P He was handy!!!And hurt!Sam <3 I always love these moments.Wish it was a bit longer though...I am so glad that Sam and Dean have a place of their own :) And they love it ^^ AGH!!!Can't continue because I will keep repeating how I loved everything :P Can't wait for next week.Man this season rocks big time
Golem is kickass, I wanted a Golem <3. Once again Edlund does not disappoint me, awesome episode and just loved LOVED the new address of Winchesters. I'm with you Dean have to take advantage of the new home a bit. :D ^^
The only complaint I have is that I wish Dean would take things more seriously. Does he really not see how having all of these rare books in their possession could prove useful? Really out of character for a hunters, whom spend as much time researching as they do fighting monsters.
"They're bunch of psychopaths", then we see Sam rubbing his hands together for warmth, warmth that is provided by the burning Nazi, lol. Awesome imagery.
I loved it! Seeing Sam in his new role and Dean geeking out in his Deanish way. I loved how much fun Jensen and Jared get from their humorous moments, especially those early Dean scenes! And I just loved that ending, with them both so settled and happy to be together... very good.
I hope the new "Rabbi" & his Golem stay as returning guests with the others to help in the main quest. Those 2 actors were fantastic! My only complaint is the second half was sort of predictable, and the defeat of the Nazis too easy. But I loved the whole idea.
The one thing that made me unhappy was the return of the "Dumb Dean" trope - Dean is too stoopid to understand how useful the Men of Letters info can be... Doh! Come on is that really necessary?
I can't wait for - finally!! - a forward movement in the main quest next week.
Already have my quote picked out and laughed so hard, need to watch again to write it down, but it was when they were breaking into the library. Anyway loved this ep, the Bat Cave is awesome and I want more of the Golem.
The only (-) of the episode....why did they had to cut to the commercials break just before sammy woke up from the Nazi poison? I would've LOVE to see a happy/worry/warm big bro Dean making sure he was ok <3
I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I did. But are they setting up the Nazi society as another big bad that might show up later on in the season? It didn't feel like there was enough closure, which we usually get with a stand-alone.
Still, I enjoyed it. I love that the boys have a home base again... and a pretty awesome one at that. Dean in the "deady guy bathrobe" was priceless haha
That was a really good episode. I love the Men of Letters place. So fun seeing Sam and Dean happy about having the building to themselves - Sam going all geek and Dean playing with the sword (I can't remember exactly what it was called). :)
Dean's comment about their dad wanting them to have a back-up plan if hunting didn't work out was funny. XD
The guy and the Golem were great characters. I'd love to see them again someday. I loved the Golem.
Dean is not dumb. He doesn't really trust it but is keeping his mouth shut. Sam is having too much fun and Dean is not going to blow that for him. I think Dean is more interested in getting out there and doing. Dean is highly intelligent and has shown it over and over. The LeviaDean even muttered on why Dean acted dumb when he was so smart. Who knows for sure, but I've got a gut feeling, it's covering nerves over the place. He does that when he's not comfortable or nervous.
I gotta say...I've enjoyed the cases of the week so far this season...the brothers are putting some angst behind them and embracing their newfound places in the expanded mythology... I loved it when Dean said "So you're just...a Man of Letters now?" And instead of bitching or preaching he just patted him on the shoulder and said "Good." And they both kicked back in the bunker (which is a fantastic set)... I see several things lining up for the end of the season: the tablets, the angels doing weird shit upstairs, the avenue of new tools and enemies to be found by the bunker, the secrets of the Men of Letters, Crowley's gonna be up to something, and I get a sneaking suspicion that there could even be more on the horizon... I'm pretty hopeful about season 8 part 2.
I loved everything about this episode. This was the first episode this season that I immediately re-watched... actually it is the first that I have re-watched at all, but I did re-watch a couple of scenes from last week's episode and I plan on re-watching the Larping episode and Hunter Heroici. It seems the only thing I was needing is for the boys to get along. Now, if I never hear about SAM NOT LOOKING FOR DEAN again, maybe I will "survive" his season. No more Amelia flashbacks while sniffing bladder infections and no more Out of Character brothers.... I can't take any more!
But, I have really enjoyed the last 3 episodes. If they can do that again, I might start getting excited waiting for new episodes again. *keeping fingers crossed*.
Ok 1st of like the ep did not love it but it was good the best part for me was when that golem just thown dean at that car I was holyS@## that was awesome hey dean is ok WOW! and the batcave AWESOME! but what gets me is all the how great the eps are now REALLY? now they become good where was the good eps 1st part of the season where are they? I do hope they keep it going.
Much like the rest of the season just average. Although I will put it higher up among what this season has spat out (past few weeks have been surprisingly good), however compared to Seasons 1-5, it's merely ok.
I agree with everything you said. If I never hear about "either" again, just maybe the season can be salvaged. Maybe... This ep was the first ep since Hunteri Heroci that I couldn't find a thing to *beep* about. I even tolerated Cas in HH - even with corpse sniffing *g* - and I rarely like Cas. I thoroughly enjoyed LARP and As Time Goes By but I found lots of 'nit-picky' things in both highly rewatchable episodes.
I *adored the Golem too! I'm glad the boys were prudent and looked for ways to put it down if necessary but also realized that the Golem was a powerful protector and weapon if needed against enemies. I also think we'll see the "rabbi/Golem team in a future episode.
And this is why Sam and Dean are smart. :-) Should figure out how to destroy the Golem just incase something happens like a guy comes in and takes control of it. :-) hee hee
I was fully prepared to hate this ep based on the promo, but it turned out to be pretty darned good.
It scares me that Dean seems to be so into the 50s music though. How long will it be before he starts looking for his classic rock on vinyl.
didn't stick out for me. I he does appreciate their value but his approach has always been....Step 1 - ask Sam. if he doesn't know ask Bobby. Add to that his final line of the episode..."Aaron's a JI and you're a Man of Letters now, is that it? Good." proves that despite the flippant cover for...pretty much everything...he does see how important this library is.
I get the impression as others have noted that Dean doesn't fully trust this "knowledge bank" but is ok at the moment with Sam's geeking out temporarily. As Dean said in 8.12 "... at least we're [Hunters[ are not extinct". If the MoL were such a powerful secret society, with records and alchemical practices dating back 1000 years or more, as Sam said "Why haven't we heard of you before?" I think "hubris" got them killed off and I can see Sam falling into the same trap if he's doesn't learn from the past - the past in which they were all killed except Larry and Larry told him to lock the door and never enter the bunker. I think Edlund did a great job in conveying Dean's distrust in the bunker's contents by his funny, "inappropriate" comments (and I'm not Edlund's Number 1 Fan by a long shot).
Just throwing this out there before you start worrying it's a "new" big bad: Remember those home videos Crowley was entertaining himself with, when we first met him?
Just finished watching this episode and i don't really know how to classify it yet. X I loved loved loved all the brother moments. They make the show for me, and both brothers got more or less equal useful screen time, without Sam being strangled or locked in a closet to keep him out of the action. He did get poison-darted in the library but he kept going and it was over quickly.:)
I loved them shooting together, so reminiscent of past seasons.
X
I like how comfortable they are with their new surroundings and how they find pleasure in different things according to their character. Dean with the 'toys' swords and stuff, and Sam with books but I hope that this separation is not defined for ever, because both brothers are intelligent and both are great hunters. X X I didn't like the Nazi plot too much. It's been done a thousand times before, although I did like the Golem.
The Dean/gay jokes are getting head-shakingly old and cliched too. X Then Dean gets thrown at least ten yards on to the car and he comes up without a scratch, looking as if he has just stepped out of the make-up room? He should at least have had his hair ruffled and maybe a bump to the noggin! X Another Garth mention. Why do they have to remind us of him in every single episode; then what more information could he possibly have than what the Winchesters now have access to in their home base? X
Anyway I'm so glad the boys seem happy with their new home and most importantly, good with each other but I still can't make the connection with the brothers we are presented with here and those OOC brothers we had for ten episodes, and I will never ever be able to come to terms with the fact that the writers didn't let Sam even look for Dean.
That has been the biggest slur on his character ever and as it doesn't seem that the writers are going to address it, it is now unfortunately canon.
X
I see they mentioned Kevin and Castiel, but it made me smile that the great new story -arcs of the season, Benny and Amelia, seem to have been completely forgotten.
I am very happy about that but what was it all about in the first place then! X I will probably end up giving this episode awesome just for the wonderful brother moments
I dont see Sam falling in to the same trap at all. Sam has a massive advantage over the MoL, Sam is an experienced hunter, he's actually got what the MoL were lacking which makes him better equiped to last.
EXCELLENT AWESOME EPISODE.................SUPERNATURAL........BETTER THAN EVER.......! No brotherly angst.............back to the good ole days..............were on a case! YES
That's the third GREAT episode in the row! Yay, season 8! Love this new storyline with Men of Letters and boys' new place! Also, I liked Golem! And funny bits, too! Especially the joke about the back-up job dad was preparing them to;) Very excited to see what's next!
Well sorry, but SAM NOT LOOKING FOR DEAN is my only fault for this season. I have loved it and these last few eps were outstanding, but can not get over writing Sam so out of character. I don't want to hear anymore about it either, just a reason why other than "ran, hit dog, met girl"
I loved Feral Dean and those flashbacks, hated what they did to Sam and to what purpose other than change Sam for the worse. Did enjoy the Benny storyline and love the bat cave.
I miss the fall out from purgatory: Benny, Cas, the Angels interference, Sam being MIA, Dean being all Badass. I feel like I am watching an different show now. Last nights episode made me feel as if I was in an episode of Indianna Jones.
That's a great catch! While I think you're WAY ahead of the writers, it could be a nice tie-in with Crowley already knowing about the necromancers but unable to get info on them because it is locked in the bunker.
I have accepted a lot of things that I didn't want to (like Sam drinking blood), but I just can't get over Sam not looking for Dean. It just wouldn't happen. Ever.
I say lets just get over it allready I got over the dean did not look for sam in season 6 so lets get over this and yes yes he said he tryed but I did not see it where was that part in the show like in season 4 when they showed sam trying to get dean back.
What was there to get over, Dean did look for Sam... In 6x01 he said he looked, Sam said something like "you promised you wouldn't" and Dean responded, "so sue me".
You said they didn't "show" Dean looking for Sam like they showed Sam looking for Dean in 4x09? Well, I will swap those two scenes if you include everything involved. The entire beginning of Main Street was Dean trying to live his life without Sam. We got the montage where little things triggered his memories of Sam and the nightmare... then yes we only had words when he confessed that he had looked for Sam, but that was after an entire episode of Dean living domestic, Dean on Djinn poisoning, Dean finding Sam, Dean meeting the Campbells, etc, etc.
you the entire episode, Lazarus Rising that showed Dean waking up in his coffin and crawling out of the ground... looking around... Walking to the store. Finding out the Exact Date that he came back... and Meeting Bobby for the first time.... Oh, then there was the whole search for the "monster" that rode Dean back from Hell and then finding out that an Angel of the Lord had work for him.... I will trade that entire episode dedicated to every little spec of information about Dean's Hell for the flash we had of Sam staring in the window at Dean.... That is pretty much what we get to "see" about Sam getting out of Hell. Eventually other characters filled in the blank spots, but often Sam wasn't even in the room. I'm not even going to bring up the On the Head of a Pin episode which actually allowed us a huge chunk of time see torture!Dean in action. We got to see how good he was at it and also how much it was eating him alive....
How about not showing Sam getting out of Hell? How about us not ever seeing Sam do anything? Other characters talk about Sam, but we don't see it. How many characters said that Sam wouldn't survive or get over his cage memories. Over and over they talked about it... always out of sight of Sam because we can't let Sam know anything or do anything.
I still say that "gone" does not mean "dead". There was no body. For all Sam knew, Dean could have been knocked unconscious and had amnesia two blocks over. He would have looked at police reports and news papers, missing persons, psychics, spirit boards... etc. I waiting for weeks to see something in Sam's flashbacks th
At least we have seen a couple of better episodes... I am still not thrilled with everything in any episode this season, but at least those 4 (Hunter Heroici, Larping, Grandpa, and Bat Cave) felt like the Supernatural I knew. If they keep this up I may even try to remember the names of the episodes :-)
I hope that Sam doesn't fall into the hubris trap again, too; that would be sooooo Sam in S4, 5, 6... (yeah, redundant). But is not the Benny storyline very, very similar to Ruby? (Saving Dean in Purgatory multiple times and offering knowledge of a "way out" in exchange for a "free ride/way to kill Lilith").
The show has a tendency to snatch away whatever small amounts of contentment the boys have found within a "shortish time" and "show canon" rarely has "Dean's instincts" being outrageously wrong. For the Sam is once again as happy as a "pig in shoes". ;) Ergo, Dean will "soon" discover his "queasiness" about the Batcave has some merit - perhaps he directly asks Sam what Larry really wanted Sam to do with the "key" - I don't know how it will happen - and Sam will continue to want to use the MoL's (pre -1958) "resources" and Dean will think Sam is "playing with fire" - again - in metaphorical sense and they will have "clash" over it (using the Batcave).
With the history of the show being what it is I wouldn't be surprised if Supernatural doesn't make Sam the "Big Bad" of S10! (Joking, but EK did say part of his "5 year plan" was for Dean to have to take a much, much harder look at killing Sam "to save the world"; he modified that plan when he introduced Castiel/angel storyline).
100,000 "likes"! Many, many fans agree. Carver/Singer seriously f'd up with the "Sam not looking" sl; maybe if we actually got to see Sam's grief for Dean (and not just his obvious agitation over hitting "Dog") and had him talk sadly to Amelia and reminisce about Dean (instead of just his "my world imploded" at Amelia's door) most of us would have known that the FBs were "real" instead of manufactured "reality". I thought the FBs were more about Amelia's feelings - told in her POV - then what Sam Supporters were looking for, Sam POV. I'm crushed that we are very unlikely to get any more info about the missing two months or how Sam pulled that reverse exorcism out of his .... (ANGRY) Not that I "hated" Grampa W or the Batcave -I like this storyline and- I get that the writers/showrunners have to move the story forward - but on some level I think it's "Smoke and Mirrors" for Sam Supporters. Dean is wary of the Batcave and Sam loves the Batcave - they will "fight/clash" over differing opinions .. and that's "OK-ish" if Sam is ever shown to in the right in this "one case" (Batcave resources = Good).
SpoilerTV is the only place I go to talk about Supernatural and would like to know if the problem with Sam not looking for Dean wide spread or just here? It bugs the heck out of me and I know a few of you also.
I didn't love it when it first came out because I was so desperate to finally have Sam's version of "Lazarus Rising" or maybe On the Head of a Pin, or actually even What is a What Should never Be... All very heavy Dean episodes (although OtHoaP was also very angel heavy -- I hate when we see too many scenes with NO Winchesters) type episode for Sam.... Some episode that was 75% Sam POV like we get so often for Dean during season openers. Since we were gonna have the Djinns I even was keeping my fingers crossed that it would be a little of Lazarus Rising (lots of info and details about Sam's Hell time) combined with a bit of What is and What Should Never Be (Sam living a "dream" that is really a nightmare). Instead I got the exact opposite. Jared may have been present, but Sam was not. He was practically invisible while Dean had all of the POV and exploration... again. When we found out he was soulless and there was a reason for a practically invisible, non-recognizable Sam, I was much happier and I started really, really liking soulless Sam. When Jared is allowed to let the freak out, he is incredible. Love Born Under a Bad Sign, Samifer, and Soulless Sam to bits.
And boy was he funny in Clap Your Hands. I am so surprised more people don't like that episode.... When Dean is talking about the fairy in the microwave and says "She Hit Me"... Sam does that straight face and "I'm not supposed to laugh, right?" I just about died.... and the whole Close Encounter scene killed me... I could go on and on.
Dean was pretty chilling in the torture scene in On the Head of a Pin too, but Jensen's portrayal in that episode also let a bit of the horror Dean was feeling seep through. Very nuanced... Loved it!
I love when our boys are bad and its not their fault :-)
He would have put everything on hold to do so... just like when he was tracking the Trickster in season 3. He would do anything to get Dean back if possible, but it would never be possible if he didn't at least look.
Just started watching it and I'm seriously disappointed. Not by the story, but by the fact that the makers of SPN never bother to use or at least consult native speakers when there is any dialogue in a foreign language. Doesn't matter if it's German, Japanese, French or whatever it was in the past, the grammar and pronunciation are always so horrible they have to re-dub the whole thing for the German, French, Japanese etc. versions of SPN. I know their budget is limited, but why is it so hard to get one native speaker or linguist who translates the dialogue and practises the pronunciation with the actors so that it's at least understandable for native speakers?
Clap Your Hands has been one of my top funny eps, Sam was priceless and Dean telling him empathy Sam empathy was perfect. Much funnier than Changing Channels to me, I am not much on slap stick. The only part of CC I liked was the end with Gab/Trickster.
The whole ep of On The Head Of A Pin was chilling to me but put Dean and Alastair together and it was AWESOME.
Jared can get a look in his eyes that makes Sam look pure evil and I love it.
I <3 <3 <3 Clap your hands! This ep booted out BDABR as my fave humorous episode. I *roared* through most of most of the ep, tears of laughter were rolling down my face. Sam and the hippy chick (It'd be in the dark), Dean vs Tinkerbell (Nipples?) ... the funny scenes just did not quit. The French Mistake has it's funny moments too and I love both but I just have to *think* about a scene from "Clap" and I get the giggles, lol.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I loved everything about it again! It was so good.

I laughed out loud at that moment.
ReplyDeletexD me too
ReplyDeleteI love the new direction this season has started to go in with Henry and the Men of Letters.
ReplyDeleteDean isn't that dumb - no one is. Flaw in the writing that surprised me, frankly, because Edlund usually isn't so black & white on the brothers.
ReplyDeleteAlready have my quote picked out and laughed so hard, need to watch again to write it down, but it was when they were breaking into the library. Anyway loved this ep, the Bat Cave is awesome and I want more of the Golem.

ReplyDeleteI think Dean doesn't like Men of Letters thing, in my opinion.

For me it was what Dean said about John wanting them to have a career if hunting didn't pan out. What??! hee
ReplyDeleteYeah that is the one, when I watch it tomorrow I will get the quote, very funny.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I said too!!!I'd like a longer version of the poisoning/recovering stuff :/ We don't often get moments like that with Sam :S
ReplyDeleteOne of the best of this amazing & great season. Will be watching it again in a few. Hope to see these characters again
ReplyDeleteI'll be looking for Fanfic missing scene on fanfic.net tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Loved the golem reaching through the stacks and just pulverizing the necromancer.
ReplyDeleteI should rent myself out as a golem. Except my hair is way longer.
ReplyDeleteTrue that!!!That's where I find shelter too :P
ReplyDeleteDean's never liked the reading part of the job. He prefers to let Sam do his thing while he plays with the weapons. lol
ReplyDeleteDean does not trust it. He gave that impression in As Time Goes By.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. If I wasn't already in the midst of working on two stories, I'd write it.
ReplyDeleteThat was a really good episode. I love the Men of Letters place. So fun seeing Sam and Dean happy about having the building to themselves - Sam going all geek and Dean playing with the sword (I can't remember exactly what it was called). :)

Then Dean gets thrown at least ten yards on to the car and he comes up without a scratch, looking as if he has just stepped out of the make-up room? He should at least have had his hair ruffled and maybe a bump to the noggin!
X
Another Garth mention.
X
I will probably end up giving this episode awesome just for the wonderful brother moments
I dont see Sam falling in to the same trap at all. Sam has a massive advantage over the MoL, Sam is an experienced hunter, he's actually got what the MoL were lacking which makes him better equiped to last.
ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT AWESOME EPISODE.................SUPERNATURAL........BETTER THAN EVER.......!
ReplyDeleteNo brotherly angst.............back to the good ole days..............were on a case! YES
Probably my favorite ep this season and one that had the most simple and satisfying end scene in a very long time. Well done, SPN!
ReplyDeleteThat's the third GREAT episode in the row! Yay, season 8! Love this new storyline with Men of Letters and boys' new place!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I liked Golem! And funny bits, too! Especially the joke about the back-up job dad was preparing them to;)
Very excited to see what's next!
ReplyDeleteit was one of the best scenes omg I replay that 10 times .. if they only hear him =D
ReplyDeleteI loved Feral Dean and those flashbacks, hated what they did to Sam and to what purpose other than change Sam for the worse. Did enjoy the Benny storyline and love the bat cave.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it was scripted or something Jared did on his own.. very very funny and IMHO the best episode of the season...so far....
ReplyDeleteI miss the fall out from purgatory: Benny, Cas, the Angels interference, Sam being MIA, Dean being all Badass. I feel like I am watching an different show now. Last nights episode made me feel as if I was in an episode of Indianna Jones.
ReplyDeleteMy name is DeanCasLover22 on fanfiction net. I have 21 stories in all, my best known being In A New Light.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great catch! While I think you're WAY ahead of the writers, it could be a nice tie-in with Crowley already knowing about the necromancers but unable to get info on them because it is locked in the bunker.
ReplyDeleteDid anybody see any Devil Traps or Angel Warding on or in the bunker? Really interested to find out how it is so well hidden.
ReplyDeleteNow I find out my neighbor's kids watch the show. Happened to sit in one of his chairs by the pool last summer and shattered it.
The kids started in with the Golem jokes before school this morning. (The chair was very cheaply built; in my defense.)
I have accepted a lot of things that I didn't want to (like Sam drinking blood), but I just can't get over Sam not looking for Dean. It just wouldn't happen. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI say lets just get over it allready I got over the dean did not look for sam in season 6 so lets get over this and yes yes he said he tryed but I did not see it where was that part in the show like in season 4 when they showed sam trying to get dean back.
ReplyDeleteSam has not said he even tried to find Dean. I don't care if he could not find him, but damn it, he would have looked.
ReplyDeleteI loved Jared playing Soulless Sam, junky and possessed, he is awesome playing evil.
ReplyDeleteWhat was there to get over, Dean did look for Sam... In 6x01 he said he looked, Sam said something like "you promised you wouldn't" and Dean responded, "so sue me".
ReplyDeleteYou said they didn't "show" Dean looking for Sam like they showed Sam looking for Dean in 4x09?
ReplyDeleteAt least we have seen a couple of better episodes... I am still not thrilled with everything in any episode this season, but at least those 4 (Hunter Heroici, Larping, Grandpa, and Bat Cave) felt like the Supernatural I knew. If they keep this up I may even try to remember the names of the episodes :-)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree with everything you said.
ReplyDeleteSam isn't an incompetent little novice and he certainly wouldn't have gotten 'overwhelmed' by Dean's disappearance.
He would have stubbornly searched for Dean, perhaps not managing to find him, but he would have done everything in his power to do so.
I hope that Sam doesn't fall into the hubris trap again, too; that would be sooooo Sam in S4, 5, 6... (yeah, redundant). But is not the Benny storyline very, very similar to Ruby? (Saving Dean in Purgatory multiple times and offering knowledge of a "way
ReplyDeleteout" in exchange for a "free ride/way to kill Lilith").
The show has a tendency to snatch away whatever small amounts of contentment the boys have found within a "shortish time" and "show canon" rarely has "Dean's instincts" being outrageously wrong. For the Sam is once again as happy as a "pig in shoes". ;)
Ergo, Dean will "soon" discover his "queasiness" about the Batcave has some merit - perhaps he directly asks Sam what Larry really wanted Sam to do with the
"key" - I don't know how it will happen - and Sam will continue to want
to use the MoL's (pre -1958) "resources" and Dean will think Sam is "playing
with fire" - again - in metaphorical sense and they will have "clash" over it (using the Batcave).
ReplyDeleteCarver/Singer seriously f'd up with the "Sam not looking" sl; maybe if we actually got to see Sam's grief for Dean (and not just his obvious agitation over hitting "Dog") and had him talk sadly to Amelia and reminisce about Dean (instead of just his "my world imploded" at Amelia's door) most of us would have known that the FBs were "real" instead of manufactured "reality". I thought the FBs were more about Amelia's feelings - told in her POV - then what Sam Supporters were looking for, Sam POV.
I'm crushed that we are very unlikely to get any more info about the missing two months or how Sam pulled that reverse exorcism out of his .... (ANGRY)
Not that I "hated" Grampa W or the Batcave -I like this storyline and- I get that the writers/showrunners have to move the story forward - but on some level I think it's "Smoke and Mirrors" for Sam Supporters. Dean is wary of the Batcave and Sam loves the Batcave - they will "fight/clash" over differing opinions .. and that's "OK-ish" if Sam is ever shown to in the right in this "one case" (Batcave resources = Good).
I think we have found our bat cave, Sammy. Great episode!
ReplyDeleteSpoilerTV is the only place I go to talk about Supernatural and would like to know if the problem with Sam not looking for Dean wide spread or just here? It bugs the heck out of me and I know a few of you also.
ReplyDeleteI didn't love it when it first came out because I was so desperate to finally have Sam's version of "Lazarus Rising" or maybe On the Head of a Pin, or actually even What is a What Should never Be...
ReplyDeleteAnd boy was he funny in Clap Your Hands.
ReplyDeleteJust started watching it and I'm seriously disappointed.
ReplyDeleteClap Your Hands has been one of my top funny eps, Sam was priceless and Dean telling him empathy Sam empathy was perfect. Much funnier than Changing Channels to me, I am not much on slap stick. The only part of CC I liked was the end with Gab/Trickster.
ReplyDeleteThe whole ep of On The Head Of A Pin was chilling to me but put Dean and Alastair together and it was AWESOME.
Jared can get a look in his eyes that makes Sam look pure evil and I love it.
I totally agree.
ReplyDeleteI <3 <3 <3 Clap your hands!
ReplyDeleteI also loved BDABR, but like you I can laugh thinking about Clap Your Hands, for me it was pure genius and was a showcase for Jared doing humor.
