Pretty good episode... though, since when has Ted ever NOT wanted to be settled down? Robin was very sweet with Marvin, but, again, if she and Barney adopt I'd be incredibly agitated and disappointed in the writers
That was interesting. Wish they'd brought up Robin's infertility, though. It was the perfect opportunity. But her getting attached to Marvin was adorable!
I can't believe Ted impliciitly told his kids that he liked having sex with all his random girlfriends before he met their Mother.
This whole hetero-normal inevitability shows suffer from, where everyone has to get married, have kids and settle down to be fulfilled is REALLY tiresome, and I can't think of a TV couple less inclined to go that route than Barney and Robin.
Robin doesn't have kids at all. In symphony of illusion in season 7 it is revealed that Robin never becomes a mother. I Robin held Marvin earlier in the episode so that the infertility thing could have came up. It was an okay episode for me. Not as good as the last few episodes.
I totally agree with you. This episode was ok. The previous episodes were by far the best of the season. I am just waiting until they show Barney's and Robin's wedding.
I actually really liked this episode it was classic HIMYM my favorite parts was Barney and Marshall hanging out and flash forwards of Lily and Robin. Robin looks really good, Cobie is looking really beautiful this season she's glowing.
Yeah, I agree...I really don't think the writers will go that route, but that would just make me all the more disappointed if they did. It would be just completely against the grain of everything the show has pointed to.
Actually, that episode revealed that Robin never became a pole vaulter. The writers could still have Robin eventually get pregnant and allow Ted's narration to have been literal rather than figurative.
It probably wouldn't be a good move, but it wouldn't contradict anything.
Wow, that was one of the worst episodes ever. Both plots were just so hard to watch. I wish they would've ended the show with this season, absolutely cba to watch another one. :(
It wasn't as good as last week's, but I still enjoyed it. I have been enjoying their latest episodes a lot, laughed a lot and liked the plot points for the most part. The Robin story was my favorite!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Surprise!Mike Tyson was definitely a surprise.
I don't think they'll adopt. I think they'll be content just being Aunt Robin and Uncle Barney to Marshall and Lily and Ted's kids.
ReplyDeleteI hope so.

TPTB have already said that Robin will never have kids, and that includes adoption

No, the writers confirmed that Robin never became a mother.
