Lots has happened in the last two episodes of Person of Interest, with the plot thickening even further, thus there's been some changes to the Character Relationship Chart
The changes to the chart this week include the deaths of Mark Snow and Kara Stanton, and the addition of the very much alive "Greer", who is the older guy that Stanton was talking to in the flashbacks in hospital. Nathan Ingram has also had his description tweaked slightly, to reflect his possible death while keeping an eye on a person of interest. Along with that, Ingram and Finch's interaction box has also been slightly altered to support this possible cause of death
This week I've increased the resolution of the chart for those people wishing to print it off. Unfortunately I can't increase the size or resolution of the chart much further because the Microsoft Word document that I build the chart on has reached its maximum real life size of 55.8cm wide. If I make the image of the chart that size, you're looking at a 30-40MB file which older computers and mobile devices wouldn't be able to handle. The file size this week is about 8.2MB, far more manageable size-wise, but with good resolution, compared to the last edition of the chart that I made available, which was 3.6MB in size
As always, feel free to share your thoughts and point out any errors. The chart has a scary 3,200 words on it now!

Enjoy!

Thanks! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat chart but I don't believe that Kara Stanton is dead. We saw the car blow up and we saw the machine POV with the red markers as she approached and entered the car with Snow already in it. The car hen blows up in front of the camera. But if you take a closer look; there was a blip before the car explodes. The time code in corner showed a seven second delay between the blip and explosion. Seven seconds would have been plenty of time to get out of the car.
ReplyDeleteNice Jimmi, thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! I always look forward to this. Just a thought: for the sake of finding space where it's clearly lacking, maybe you should reduce certain minor characters to mentions in the connecting boxes. I'm mostly just talking about those who have only appeared in one episode. One I'm looking at is Henry Peck. While his appearance certainly had significance, I'm not sure he needs his own box being that he did only appear once and likely won't again. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteOh and I definitely think Marlene Elias can be left out. Obviously she is very important to Carl Elias' character, but the mentions of her in his and father's boxes seem sufficient to me.
ReplyDeleteI've thought long and hard about doing that, but I know that as soon as I do it, the next episode will show Elias and co again, and add to the story. Its just too unpredictable!! Same with Henry Peck - he has to stay there because he knows about The Machine. Only a handful of people know about it, so I think it's important he stays there
ReplyDeleteThis is true, but I saw Stanton leap toward Snow as if she was attempting to disarm the bomb by unlocking the phone the same way Finch did with Reese's. The cops said they believed there were 2 rogue agents killed in the explosion,
ReplyDeleteIn short, yes there's always doubt, but I think there's enough concrete evidence to say Stanton is dead. But I definitely do expect to see her in the odd flashback in the future
No she is absolutely dead. In fact here's a post from a different discussion board that provides overwhelming amounts of proof that she basically has to be dead:

Great stuff Jimmy! :)
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze how intricate a web of characters Person of Interest has!
Many thanks Jimmy, Super Awesome, I love this Chart.
ReplyDeleteGreat, Jimmy... but why don't you make any mention about the killing of the Detective Stills, ex Fusco's partner, by Reese? I honestly think is a really good job but i miss some details about POI
ReplyDeleteI'll look into adding that
ReplyDeleteMarlene Elias probably can be left out, but it isn't going to free up any more space. Where I do need space is around Finch and Reese, and the Root/Ingram/Machine area. So I could get rid of her but not for much of a payoff
