I think it gets the plot going and they involve the rest of the core cast in it too. I mean, it's all connected and it affects all of them. Cora wanting to get to Storybrooke (and Regina) kept Snow and Emma super busy in modern day FTL and even fighting for their lives, now that Cora is in Storybrooke, Snow and Charming have a lot to do again. And all that is connected to Rumple who just took Emma and Henry to Manhattan which was poignant what with how very involved Bae is with Emma and Henry.
ReplyDeleteSo overall? It gets the main plot going and they all have something to do.
I don't know that they will ever focus on others as main characters - they are supporting roles and if they changed that, it would fundamentally change the show. I think from the outset it has been obvious that the main plot is focused on Snow/Charming/Emma/Rumple/Regina(/Henry). Personally, those are the people I want to see because I'm much more invested in them. In the first season, it was nice to spin off some of the other characters as we discovered who they had been in FTL. Now they all know who they are/were, so it's not really necessary to get as much background on them from FTL. I like Belle and Red as supporting characters, but if they would bump Emma's "family" to make one of them the main story, I'd probably stop watching. Just like the whole Mulan/Aurora thing totally bored me and seemed ridiculously out of place.
ReplyDeleteRegina's redemption episode?
ReplyDeleteAnd then we obsess over this title till the end of days.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty obvious it will be Regina-centric, but the real question is WHY is it called Evil Queen. In theory, we saw how Regina went to the dark path in 2x02. Are they finally acknowledging we need more flashbacks? Because, you know, there's the big gap in between Regina first learning magic and having Leopold killed that surely lasts about 8 years and from which we have absolutely no information. But I'm not holding my breath.
Cool but do we know the titles for episodes 17-19?I think The Miller's Daughter(16) is the last title we know of.
ReplyDeleteWe do. It's here: http://stvplus.com/show/121/Once-Upon-A-Time#episodes

Yep,got it!Thank you! : )
ReplyDeleteYes please, sort of anyways, I'd assume she'll never be truly good (as she shouldn't) but honestly it bugs me how they revert 9-10 episodes worth of her trying to be good in a single episode and make her go all Evil Queen again while bowing to her mother's will.
ReplyDeleteI def feel like this is going to relate to more than one character! -But good call on the battle between them, leading to the 'singular'!
ReplyDeleteI think @InvestedInYourFuture:disqus probably has it right relating to both Regina and Cora and a possible battle between them...but I also wonder if we will see the CURRENT FTL again and if something could be brewing there???
ReplyDeleteColor me surprised by the overload of Regina Cora Rumple regina Cora Rumple Regina Cora fraking Rumple! These characters are overexposed and others don't get their time to shine.
ReplyDeleteYeayyyy I love the Evil Queen!!! well unless it's a tricky title...hehe
ReplyDeletePretty sure this title is about BOTH Regina and Cora and not just Regina.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them can be described as an "evil Queen" so I guess this will be the episode where the only ONE evil queen is left - with Regina most likely shedding the shackles of control her mother has over her, maybe? Thus leaving Cora as one and only true Evil Queen of the whole story.
I think its understandable.
ReplyDeleteThis season is FOCUSED on those three - a lot of plots deal with them. Just like the previous season focused on Snow and Charming.
I guess the next season will focus on another two, three or four other characters and so on.
Dis gon b gud.gif.
ReplyDeleteI have been wondering what Archie has been up to since not being dead. And everyone else. Are there officially going to be 22 episodes this season? I can't believe we're almost there.
I do wish we'd get more story for other people, but with the main plot, I'm not surprised there is so much flashbacks for them.
ReplyDeleteFinally! One episode focus in Regina!
ReplyDeleteYeah such overload when Regina hardly had any scenes in the last few eps
ReplyDeleteHmm, you mean as some new "evil"? That could be good, specially because they're meant to go back to FTL at some point, even it's not a permanent thing.
ReplyDeleteYa. I mean if Stoeybrooke eventually gets invaded, then I could see a sanario where they have to go back...but all I'm saying is who knows what is happening in FTL since everybody (Snow, Emma, Cora, Killian) left?!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I agree with that because some of these episodes do focus on other characters (Whale/Frankenstein, The Giant), and our main ones are written secondarily into those episodes. So although I agree that so far certain characters are related to more stories and thus we know more about them, I feel the show is trying to be well-rounded in the way they go about it and let the secondary characters have their day in the sun too! I also think the second season is focusing more on Regina and Gold more, where last season I felt there was an overload of Snow, Regina, and Charming. I hope next season we get more Emma, Ruby, Bell, and August.
