Golden Boy - Only a 1.6 in Top 25 Markets

Feb 27, 2013

GoldenBoy premieres to only a 1.6 in the top 25 mkts in 18-49. With CBS averaging around 2.7 this year, it's not a good start for the show which will move to it's regular timeslot on Fridays

  1. This was dead before it even premiered. With it moving nights (and confusing people in the process), as well as Friday being lower rated than Tuesday, expect the ratings to be really really bad for the 2nd episode.

I say CBS will cancel CSI: NY, Vegas and Golden Boy.

They'll renew The Mentalist and The Good Wife, with possible time slot changes for both (it depends).

  3. This bodes well for the Mentalist renewal.

  4. Leave CSI NY on Friday...it has a good rating for Friday night and a loyal following. I tune in Friday's only to watch CSI NY! I know a lot of people say cancel CSI NY because they want their shows to stay...I say...leave alone what's not broken. CBS shows have very good ratings, especially compared to other networks, maybe it's because we like what's already on.

  6. Golden Boy flopping has no impact on the fate of CSI:NY it will still be cancelled

  7. I know that,Tracy implied it did by Golden Boy moving into CSI;s time slot..

  8. I disagree, they should cancel TGW, 1.5-1.8 ratings are terrible for CBS and it doesn't have a syndication deal yet!

  9. I agree with this. I still really like CSIny on Fridays.

  10. I won't give up hope on CSI NY being renewed until CBS actually cancels it! And, if it does get cancelled...that just frees up my Friday nights to do other things....because I still won't watch Golden Boy!

But it's a 10pm show and they average much lower than 2.7.

  12. Not that much lower, and it will probably go even lower when it moves to Friday.

  13. It was very boring. I won't try it again
