ReplyDeleteTonight a surprise promo, a new featurette on the 15th, DVD release on the 19th, and a new Season 3 trailer on the 25th!
While I loved Dinklage's smirk at the end I think I am most happy about seeing Rory McCann/ Sandor featured in the promo! He has been sorely underused in the past two seasons!!
Actually, I'm hoping that they dont show too much material. Last year they did a heavy promotion, and to be honest, i wasn't that good. Better to keep the expectations and be surprised.

ReplyDeleteI have always preferred the behind-the-scenes looks, character features, house features etc... but when it comes to trailers and promos I prefer teasers like this with no series footage in them to the overabundance of trailers with footage last year.
Nondescript shots of new characters are one thing, but action scenes or scenes that are easily recognizable to readers of the books.....I'm not a big fan I guess. I just prefer to see footage in its proper place when the actual episode airs!

The '7 devils' promo was the best promo on tv ever but all the others were quite similar.I hope they use one or two promos for season 3 and a few teasers like the above.

The third book is by far my favourite and I'm so looking forward to seeing the big events being turned into epic TV, I'm equally excited to see the completely scenes and changes that will inevitably be made. Bring on the Chaos of the storm!

ReplyDeleteThat was my favorite trailer last year. I honestly didn't liked the Seven Devils trailer nearly as much. I felt the vocal track fought with the actor's lines and just felt less "clean" or streamlined to me. Plus it felt like a cheap grab to use a popular track to entice new fans.
