ABC James Caan Pilot - Maggie Lawson joins cast

My sixth sense is telling me Psych‘s eighth season will be its last, and here’s why: Maggie Lawson has scored the female lead opposite James Caan in an untitled ABC comedy pilot from Mark and Robb Cullen (FX’s Lucky), TVLine has learned.

Lawson’s first-position casting in the ABC project all confirms that the long-running comedy (which enters its seventh season on Feb. 27) is in the homestretch.

    As it says it seems like Psych's eighth season will be its last. I'll be sad to see it go, but it has a very solid, long run.

    The synopsis of this pilot sounds very similar to the movie 'Trouble With The Curve'!


    sad that Psych looks like it's leaving soon :(

    Surely just because Maggie might be leaving doesn't mean the series will be ending?...
