    Angel by far. Though I like Wesley as well. Two characters that have had the most growth in both series imo. :)

    Personally I thought Xander had the most growth.He had no powers but yet he held the scooby gang together.

    Spike. He fought harder than anyone else to be a better person. Unlike Angel, Spike's soul wasn't forced upon him, he fought for it because he wanted to be someone worthy of Buffy's trust and affection.

    Xander comes in at a close second. He was the human of the group with no special abilities and he survived. He was the only one who could get through to Willow when she went crazy, and was always had Buffy's back, even during the times when she clearly didn't return his feelings. In the comics he ended up in a relationship with Dawn, so respect for him on a catch like her.

    Spike, Spike, Spike. Did I mentioned Spike? I also like Buffy for most of the time, Anya, Drusilla (love her crazy talk), Fred, Illyria i Clem. Don't forget Clem! The nicest demon ever. I liked Angel in Angel but he was annoying and whiny in Buffy. When he moved to LA he grew a spine and finally had some life on his own.

    It's so hard to chose! my top 3 would be

    1) Buffy-Spike-Faith (I really can't chose between the tree of them)

    2) Cordy (even if they ruined her at the end...)

    3) Angel (in Angel)

    Love them all! xoxoxo. Hard choice, but picked Spike. He had the best lines. He was sometimes good, sometimes bad, always interesting. He was wiser than anyone gave him credit for. I really wanted to vote for Lorne, that kooky green monster with the karaoke bar. Of course I loved Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Cordelia. And Giles. And surprisingly, I came to love Andrew. IAnd Joyce (sob).

    I really enjoy most of them (sorry, Connor), but I think Spike's mockery of Angel tips him over the top. The first time I saw the rooftop scene I must have rewound it 5 or 6 times before continuing... I think his comment in Becoming Part 2 may be my favorite line in either series!

    hardest poll ugh why do you have to do this to me. I love them all but its hard to choose between buffy, willow, angel, spike, and cordy (even though what they did to her character at the end) and how can I forget fred.

    Giles, hands down. He was always the best character in Buffy, and unfortunately I couldn't force myself through any more than the first half of Season 1 of Angel.

    See here's the thing... I kinda love everyone from the Buffy/Angel verse. Literally EVERYONE.
    So I had to go with the one person who I thought grew the most in the course of the story and that to me is and always will be Cordy.

    Not surprised, albeit disappointed, that Spike is winning this poll by a landslide.


    I voted for Faith, but Oz is close behind, as well as the early-seasons versions of Buffy, Willow and Giles.

    Very tough poll, but hard not to pick Buffy and Angel for me... Cordy and then Fred/Wesley after that... so many great characters that really had some fantastic growth.....

    Spike of course, he was the soul of the show, but i also loved Buffy, Xander, Willow, Anya....they were great!! i really miss the show.
    But i hated Angel, he was so boring..
