  1. Others: Oz (I have the boxset now so it will be happening soon). I'm halfway through Deadwood need to pick it up again. Carnivàle has been on my list forever. I am waiting for Treme to end to consume it in one go. NYPD Blues is also a show I want to try out.

  2. Doctor Who. Everyone was talking about it and they recommended me to watch because it's a great sci-fi series like I love. They told me to watch the filler episode "Blink" so I can experience the vibe of the show without getting any spoilers. I liked the episode so much! I wanted to start watch the show but the Israeli V.O.D contained then very few seasons and not from the start. So that's why I didn't even bother to check for other episodes. But someday I will watch it! Very nice poll, thanks Dark & SAMURAI_ex_ninja!

  3. Sherlock, Community and 30 Rock and that because of the shortage of my time, but after my exam period, I'm definitely gonna get into it.

  5. Fringe, Bones, Buffy, Saving Hope
I've already gotten started on Charmed & Hart Of Dixie

    ReplyDelete
  6. I usually give most shows a go, but one thats been repeatedly recommended is sons of anarchy. thats probably next on my list to try when some spare time is found.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Castle. I've thought about it often, but never gave it a shot, and now with five seasons to catch up to, seems just a bit late.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Once, Arrow and Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey

    ReplyDelete
  9. The Wire. Considered by many as the greatest TV series ever. I tried starting it a few times but I never get past the first episode because I always get distracted with other stuff. Now I'm done with Uni and still unemployed, I think I might try to start it again.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Breaking Bad,Homeland and maybe Dexter.

    ReplyDelete
  11. None at the moment. I never watched Breaking Bad and spend the last month catching up on that. Boy am I happy I started watching it!!! Love it!! I don´t have any other shows on my "to do" list.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I keep meaning to pick up GoT I know it should be a great series, but I'm currently watching 4/5 shows already, and since GoT is supposedly rather complex, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to add another show to the list heh

    ReplyDelete
  13. Homeland and Breaking Bad

    ReplyDelete
  14. It is worth it though imo. I used to watch Bones, then tried watching Castle. After the first 3-4 episodes I was completely hooked. I watched 3 seasons in 2 week timespan lol.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Game of Thrones. I want to read the books first.

    ReplyDelete
  16. i bought season 1-4 and watched them in 2-3 weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  17. charmed is verry good show, bought the complete series on dvd a year ago.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I've watched The X-Files (my very fave show ever) and I'm watching Castle, Game of Thrones and Once Upon a Time, right now. As well as Falling Skies and Beauty and the Beast. I really want to start The Walking Dead, Arrow and Doctor Who, for real. Maybe Breaking Bad too. There's so many right now. It's hard to choose which ones...

    ReplyDelete
  19. I recommend Doctor Who (one of my favorite shows) and Arrow (really amazing new series worth checking out)! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Battlestar Galactica, Angel and The X-Files.

    ReplyDelete
  21. the river,missing,nashville,scandal,priivate practice,one tree hill,last resort and homeland

    ReplyDelete
  22. Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars and Teen Wolf.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Mentalist and my best friend keeps saying I should watch the Walking Dead. I just caught up with Doctor Who and Torcwhood. Although, I am kinda interested in Person of Interest too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have actually seen all but 2 of these. The newest show I haven't watched but mean to is Homeland.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I would say Person of Interest. When it came out I didn't watch it because I figured it'd be just another procedural. All due respect for the fans of shows like Bones, Castle, NCIS and so on, but they're just not really for me. But apparently, there's an impressive overarching mythology behind the show so maybe I should give it a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fringe but I won't start it cuz it's over! :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. You should, because POI is so much more, than a just simple procedural.

    ReplyDelete
  28. For me Dexter, Doctor Who and Parks And Recreation. Maybe someday I will try to watch one of this.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I've seen at least a little bit of nearly everything on here that I have ever had an urge to watch except for Dr Who. I have caught a few minutes of a re-run here and there, but I never pause. I am the kind of person that needs to start from the beginning. However, the beginning is so long ago that it might not mean anything any more.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Story of my life saying "I should start watching that show" and never starting it. I even watched the pilot for GoT and didn't like it, but I still mean to get into it. That and Breaking Bad, Supernatural, Arrow, Walking Dead, and Community.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I watched 4 seasons in less than a week:P But then I had holidays and I was sick;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Breaking Bad: I've always wanted to watch it, but never did. Also Battlestar Galactica and The X Files

    ReplyDelete
  33. you should! The ending is really beautiful and satisfaying

    ReplyDelete
  34. I've always been kinda interested in Modern Family. Maybe when I have fewer shows to watch...

I almost said Fringe but the genre's never really been my kind of thing. Still, maybe one day I'll watch all 5 seasons to see the greatness that everyone's been talking about.

Also, even though I watch an episode now and then, I'm adding Parks & Rec. I remember watching the pilot and not being entirely sure. However, random watchings since last spring have caused me to fall in love with it. With The Office ending soon, I might start grabbing articles and such on it next fall. And maybe find a way to catch up.

Another show I watched the pilot for but haven't watched since (save for a couple episodes) is Community. That one I liked but have never been able to watch because of other shows. Maybe if another of my shows gets cancelled after this season.

    ReplyDelete
  35. ^^; too many. Recently it's Justified that I need to check out but I haven't

    ReplyDelete
  36. Revolution.

I watched the first few episodes and they were terrible. Just awful.

Buy I heard it got somewhat better so, I'll get around to it one day.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You know there's still five seasons of it, right? It's not like a show that got cancelled after 13 episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The first season is absolutely amazing.

    Second season... sad face. :(

    ReplyDelete
  39. Just start from the 2005 season. You don't need to know anything prior.

Saying that, you can also start from 2010 (series 5) and not miss out.

    ReplyDelete
  40. SPN. I've watched the first few episodes, the show freaks me out but of course it is that kind of show. The fact there's 8 seasons I need to watch puts me off. I managed to do 6 seasons (for OTH) but 8 seems like a stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Definitely check out Sherlock and Community, both are incredibly intelligent and amazing shows.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh well that's disappointing. By the way, I miss your snarky comments over on the Supernatural threads. You were always so much fun to banter with.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This is the reason why it is definitely worth your time. They knew a whole season in advance that they were ending so they spent the time to tie the loose ends up. This is a complete series in a way that many serialized genre shows are not allowed to be when they are canceled.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Don't rush. It's not that much better. The characters are still annoying although the plot is picking up now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Stick with The Wire it takes a few eps to get used to all the characters but its definitely worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I started with Supernatural about 2-3 months ago and now i'm on season 4, it takes a while to get into it and I stopped watching after the "Bloody Mary" episode but kept going and it gets better and better!

    ReplyDelete
  47. might as well, now no new episodes are being made so you don't have to worry about spoilers or being even further behind, you can keep watching and then not forget plot points. I watched many series when they had finished!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Many of the early episodes no longer exist, they got destroyed for a variety of reasons. This year is the 50th anniversary, so they have been working to release nearly every existing episode by the end of this year.

If you ever decide to watch the entire Doctor Who, I maintain a list of all the dvds in chronological order available at Netflix: http://netflixcommunity.ning.com/group/thetimelords/forum/topics/doctor-who-dvds

I also have a list of what I consider the essential stories (introduction and departure of every doctor, sidekick and villain, plus some other stuff). It is still a long list, but much shorter than the full list: http://netflixcommunity.ning.com/group/thetimelords/forum/topics/guide-to-the-essential-doctor

  49. It's not late. It's worth it. Trust me! You should give it a shot if you have time.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Good to know! And no surprise that the lamest show of the season gets the highest viewers. :/

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm weaselling my way back in slowly. I already angered two people this week on this site so I'll be back to business in no time!

    ReplyDelete
  52. The Walking Dead for me. I keep starting the pilot, and remember something I have to do halfway through. One of these days, though!

    ReplyDelete
  53. The old ones for me, really. The Wire, The Sopranos, OZ and Twin Peaks.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ha! Good for you. I have an entire section of the fandom out for my blood so you have some work to do.

    ReplyDelete
  55. But at least it is entertaining in its irritation. I have a weekly bet on whether Charlie can get stupider/more irksome or Miles can get douchier. It provides for great snark as does some of the science - big old tunnel system and asphyxiation anyone? More like oxygen depletion in the writers' room.

The plot though really is picking up so its not one to write off completely. If they pull in the other republics like it sounds like they will, it should provide drama I actually care about instead of rescuing the inept brother.

    ReplyDelete
  56. sons of anarchy and 24. I have started supernatural on the summer and i liked it but i dont have time to watch it during season, will continue during the holidays

    ReplyDelete
  57. Everyone always talks about how great Fringe is, so that's on my list. Plus, I like the genre.
Also- Heroes, Doctor Who, The Newsroom, Nikita.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Homeland. I already watch enough shows as it is (one less, now that Fringe is gone. *sobs*), there just aren't enough hours in a day.

    ReplyDelete
  59. From the list X-files

    ReplyDelete
  60. Once Upon a Time, Fringe, Firefly and Veronica Mars. I have a bunch I stopped and want to continue but those are shows I haven't started at all (started Castle or it would be there too)

Thank! I always saw comments from people saying how they always intended on watching a certain show, so I thought I'd suggest a poll to see who wants to watch what.

    ReplyDelete
  62. SAMURAI_ex_ninja20 January 2013 at 07:18

Breaking Bad and Once Upon a Time, I started Breaking Bad and thought it was a very good show but just didn't have any time to continue. Once Upon a Time always seemed intriguing to me as well.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I must have watched The X-Files 3 times front to back already. Since that show, I didn't want to commit myself to a lengthy serial. I thought Once Upon a Time wouldn't catch on. Now that I won a copy of the blu-ray of season 1, I don't have anything to play it with.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Very interesting question... The Wire and The Shield are the first that come to my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Except those on the poll: the Wire, Grays anatomy, Harpers island, one tree hill, and till yesterday i hadn't goten into Californication either..but now I'm hooked on that show..

    ReplyDelete
  66. My list is too long but the ones that I would like to watch first would be: Homeland, Arrested Development and Boardwalk empire.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I have tried The Wire on 3 separate occasions, I never managed to get into it at all. it's one of those shows that makes me wonder exactly what I am missing as so many people rate it so highly, but quite frankly it left me cold.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Game of Thrones. My Tivo only has so much space and I only have so much time. Sometimes I have to delete entire seasons of shows. I am behind on many seasons of various shows.

    ReplyDelete
  69. wow, way too many good shows that I've always heard about and say I'll try to watch but far too little time to do it. Just off the top of my head: The Wire, Damages, SOA, Breaking Bad (only watched the first 2 eps of S1), Friday Night Lights, The Shield, Mad Men (debating about this as I watched the first 2 eps and it didn't get me), Dexter, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, I finally caught up on Sherlock and totally enjoyed it..... just not enough time in my life right now.... boo

    ReplyDelete
  70. Glee, Smash (which I recorded Tuesday) and The Wire.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Really? You don't know what your missing! Now is the perfect time to watch....

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yes, try it--I waited a long time because it competed with Bones at first, but just recently tried it out and am totally addicted now! It is very different from any procedural out there. And the cast is so quirky and engaging. The stories are all over the map too, not really like a procedural crime show. Jim Caviezal and Finch combined are a bit like Batman-type heroes...but not! It's very different, and it's superbly written!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Just watch 'em! They're the best shows on tv right now. No wonder they win so many awards.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Definetly Dexter. I love me some showtime shows (such as The borgias, homeland, shameless) which i think is the best network along with AMC (mad man, breaking bad) and FX, but never got the time. It's soooo long!
