  1. The one thing I want more than anything is to see etta with her parents =)
And would like that Walter/Astrid/boyes/ (Nina) are still alive
I want to see them happy , no matter how it happens, no more death please =)

  2. I say, NO RESET! I'm so tired with reboots and so on and Fringe already got a resetting time, end of season 3

    ReplyDelete
  3. Maybe reset (or not, don't really care) just to have Etta back in their life with her being alive and well and with her parents. And maybe to see a grandson (or granddaughter) for Olivia and Peter.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm convinced they travel back far in time and become the First People and in a way make sure the Observers never come to existence by destroying the machine.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Everyone happy, Etta with her parents, Olivia and Peter of course still alive and together ;) Walter and Astrid alive PLEASE !!!

I don't really care how it will end, I hope we will have the greatest episode of all the serie to end it, and i really want everyone alive, happy and no more death and bad injuries or anything like this :)

  6. I want some tragedy. A finale that wraps up everything nice and neat is not only forgettable but a let down as well.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I voted I don't care as long as everyone is happy. But really, I don't mind a reset and I don't mind Peter still being in the machine. I would love to see Henry back, so I guess I would like to go back to blue/red verse, but I want Etta back too, so...
Basically, I want so many things, that I'll be happy with anything they give me.
Fringe hasn't disappointed me this far. I trust it won't now.

  8. I don't care. I just want it to be epic. But all I really want is to see Lincoln again!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't see the possibility of a 2015-park reset because that was already manipulated by the Observers.

Actually, I'm not so sure how I want it to end. I'll go with "Other". :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I like that idea - I don't want it to end, but as it has to then I too want to be surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Need to get my thoughts together,oh Darthlock4 how could you have us choose! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  12. This is a very interesting question. The one that would feel most right to me is a reset to the 2015 park scene. The problem with no reset is that the Observers have already basically destroyed the world. Even the resistance drove them out now, there's not much left. If they figured out Walter's plan and had it ready to go in 2015 they could save the future. And that way, most of the seasons wouldn't have been reset - only the last one.

I'm expecting Walter to die. The series with Walter being pulled back into the world to help them and redeem himself, so there would be symmetry if he died at the end. I'm hoping neither Peter and Olivia die, although that would make sense too. Peter was never supposed to survive past his childhood, and September said Olivia must die.

  13. Honestly, I don't care how will it end, whether it will be some kind of reset or not, I wouldn't want to cling on some idea and end dissapointed if it turns otherwise.

The only thing that I would wish for is that the end fits the story. Whatever happens - reset or not, if characters are happy or sad - I want to know that they reached a "full circle", that they learned something from this journey, that they didn't fight for nothing.

Of course I want them to be happy and for them to stay together, and I hope that they can accomplish a satisfying ending that includes happiness of our main characters.
How and will they do that, I dont' know - Suprise me!

    ReplyDelete
  14. HAPPILY. THAT'S IT'S. THAT'S ALL I WANT

    ReplyDelete
  15. I would love a reset, one where when Peter comes out of the machine with the knowledge of what transpired in 2036,this way it could and would not happen again. And everyone is alive and well.

I also like the idea of both worlds coming together with all their knowledge defeating the Observers.

I keep thinking of what Joel said "wanting us to be able to think about them, what they are doing, what is going on in their lives.' So i'm trying to think positive, they will all be with us. I still didn't vote yet,i might or take away something.......oh laura :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well we already had a tragedy,Nina!

    ReplyDelete
  17. But actually Red!Peter was supposed to live. September distracted Walternate and by doing this the cure wasn't found by Walternate. What happened after that (well, S1-S3) was our "original" timeline but in the bigger picture it is the first and already altered version (Timeline "0", where the Observers originate.. I suppose).
Olivia is safe, I think. She "died" in 4.22 and I believe that's what September was referring to. :)
    Walter's death.. I think that's possible. :/

    ReplyDelete
  18. None of the options in the poll seem to fit what I have in mind, so I picked other... What I'd like to see is Etta being born and the day in the park/and or another kid and she'd be a big sister...

*Please don't eat me... I'm a sucker for babies* :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. i am one of the ones who hope that it reset back to the end of season three where Peter comes out of the machine. Everyone would be alive and we would get to see Walternate and Altlivia and Alternate Astrid again

    ReplyDelete
  20. The only thing I absolutely do NOT want is an ending that leaves everyone alive and happy!
I also would prefer NOT to see the red timeline again.

So much of the series is about evolution of character and learning lessons from your past mistakes (or past timelines) and I think there absolutely has to be some form of loss for their to be any pay off. Self sacrifice seems to be the pattern in past timelines and I expect one of the big 3 to sacrifice themselves to protect the others and/ or save the human race.

I guess the closest choice may be ...
"No Reset. The current incarnates of the characters must break cycle of creating new versions of themselves and accept death, loss, and be grateful that who ever lives, lives."

    ReplyDelete
  21. Since the entire season has been devoted to the Observers it might be interesting to me if everything is reset to Reiden Lake and our favorite Observer makes the choice to not save Peter or Peter pulls his hand away and lets himself drown since he is now aware that he was always supposed to die.

I do not expect that, but it would certainly bring things full circle and the past seasons would actually mean something and relate to the scene.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I want to reset back to the original timeline that September messed up (the one where Walternate found the cure, and Walter never crossed over). Both Peters alive, each in their own timeline and universe, happy with their own respective Olivias and children.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I want Peter to finally forgive Walter for taking. We never got that.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I just dont want this season to be reset because that means this whole season never happened and that would be a complete waste of time, prefer everyone to be happy, but no reset please...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Changed my mind. Though I voted reset to 2015, but now that I'm thinking about it, they already knew about the Observers and the dangers in 2015, so the only way that choice would make sense is if they came back remembering everything that went on after that.

A reset to season 3 would still not address the presence of Observers in their world, although it would be nice to see them all in that universe again.

I do NOT want a happily ever after ending. That would diminish all the anguish and action that was necessary for the characters to develop.

I'm beginning to sway more toward the "no reset" option. No reset, with acceptance and gratitude. This is how I feel about the whole Fringe experience.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Me too. :) I missed that after Peter returned to our universe.. I always thought it would happen throughout sometime in Season 3.. but it still hasn't. Not "really" :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. The only one of these I wouldn't like to see is everything from Season 4-5 is just Peter still being in the machine at the end of Season 3. That to me would be the biggest cop out. At least with resetting the timelines their actions right now have a purpose, where if it's all just a vision, then none of it has a purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  28. But what you've written... already happened. This is how the amber timeline was created - September didn't save Peter. And the invasion happened. So what they would have to do, is maybe prevent Peter from appearing in the amber timeline. But I don't think that the invasion wouldn't happen then because... there's no connection between that. There might be only one - Peter will become an Observer (maybe even Windmark), but I think it's no longer possible, as Peter pulled out the device from his neck.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, I like happy endings too. I'd love it if there was a way to "have it all" (i.e., get rid of Observers, Etta alive, hope for the future or a brighter future is shown, etc.). However, I don't know how the show can/will accomplish that. That said, I'm sure it'll be impossible to please all the fans with the series finale.

    ReplyDelete
  30. OLIVIA in think-tank.. Reset to season one with that shot of her in it.. Best way to end.. lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. Olivia in in tank... Go back to that iconic shot from season one.. that should be the last shot of the show.. it would be an awesome way to end.. Before everything happend. Maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'd like a reset to the Prime Timeline that September broke when he observed Walter in the lab. He said that Peter's child was born to the wrong Olivia Dunham, meaning the Peter from the Redverse was always ultimately supposed to cross over to be with Ourlivia or vice versa. I'd like to know what their shared future was originally supposed to be and why they were considered important enough to be observed to begin with.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Good point! :D

    ReplyDelete
  34. I can see all above mentioned futures happening. I voted for reset to the end of season 3, but I'm not so sure about it anymore.
My only wishes for the finale are:
    - Some glimpses or help from the red universe (Lee, Olivia etc)
    - Happy ending for Peter, Olivia and Etta :-)
    - Action for Astrid. She deserved it!
    - Bell.. can't imagine him not being there somehow..
    - Peace for Walter. I know it sounds weird, but with peace I mean closure and being able to be the man he wants to be. Not being afraid of what he might become. Just a fitting ending for him.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree. Although I think Walter might be the one to not come back and be a perminate sacrifice, I too really just want to be left in a place where maybe it's true there is more story to tell, and there are things left to the wind (white tulips), but as far as those who are left are concerned, they can have the happy family they seem to have not to be able to have for one reason or another. I don't think it could be a "love letter" to us, unless the memory of these people and the hope of a better future is realized. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. I tried to come up with an interesting array. I hope I succeeded?

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's always been my favorite idea, just because it would give solace/justice to Henry and I would like to end with the red universe apart of it too!

    ReplyDelete
  38. There'd HAVE to be a bridge somewhere along the line, if Redverse Peter is supposed to be with Blueverse Olivia.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hope Walter makes it,in my heart of hearts i know Walter probably will die,but the thought of him not being around, not having his milkshakes, and Twizzlers, milking Gene,or having his Naked Tuesday,is incredibly heart breaking for me,and hard to swallow...I hope they wound up with a better tomorrow, and happy.Man,i'd love it if we

    ReplyDelete
  40. She did look great in that tank! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Really! Walter so deserves inner peace and happiness,i hope he gets it. From what i hear Astrid has a very important part to play, and the tank even comes into play!

    ReplyDelete
  42. You did! I see a little in all the choices, that's what makes it a bit hard to choose. You did good! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. yeah...that's what I mean.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well the good news is that there is more than one of everything! (I'm pretty sure that other Walters, even identicle Walters are out there anyways!) Of course I forgot one other possible option which is a red and blue convergence. Don't know how much I really like it, but in some ways, I could see how it might make sense!

I hope we get happy ending too!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I voted for the reset at the end of season three, but I see it as very unlikely. Yes, the fact that they are in an altered timeline has been mentioned several times this season, but what was going on then has not. For there to be any chance to see this ending, the machine and what was happening at the moment the timeline was altered has to reintroduced. So I think that either a reset to that (seemingly) eternally-repeating scene of the day the Observers invaded or "no reset" are the most likely endings that the producers will provide. (Hmm...I just thought...what would a "no Observers" timeline look like? That is, the Observers are never created.)

    ReplyDelete
  46. The biggest thing to me is that Walter and Peter end with a relationship as good as before the season 4 reset. Their relationship is the reason I got into the show in the first place so the science of it doesn't matter as much to me as the relationship of father and son.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with this also. Michael now gave the amber-blue Walter, the former blue Walter's memories, so whether he is going to remain a convergence or Walters, or if like with Olivia in season 4, the former takes over, seems like it brings us back to that relationship.

But season 4 gave us a Peter who could have a much better relationship with a counter part closer to his real biological father, another Walternate, and I always thought in every case, whether we are looking at Peter, Walters, or a family of time lines and all incarnates, "Be Better Than You're Father" is something I hope finds a way to really shine through.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The idea of it (in my mind) is that it actually would cause his time line to physically change.-To have a good future, he had to endure this and learn many hidden truths.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Many people think that if we reset within the time line, that it will eliminate the creation of the Observers...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well in a reset and/or an alternate reality created by some kind of time machine, it could happen (:

    ReplyDelete
  51. They have been the first people several times! Peter being the one who kept taking the machine parts back and destroying the universes...

I wish that we could just change/modify the Observers' behavior, rather than eliminate them from time all together. I like our characters to be better than they are.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The whole premise is time unravels at every interval. So if the scenario is a reset of the timeline, let's see a first meeting of Olivia and Peter up until the present, with a sane Walter and Elizabeth still alive. So no crossing universes, no meddling from observers. Just let destiny take its natural course. That all depends if TPTB want to leave room for more whatifs or complete closure.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I want everyone happy, have best turnout there could be. If there's a reset, I would only want it to be pre-observer invasion or no farther than the end of season 3, if they must. I want Peter and Olivia together, bonus if their daughter can be alive in the end. Love for Walter and co to also be alive.

I don't want the observers to cease to exist completely cause I like September too much; I'd love for him to be/stay human in the end.

And everyone to know each other. Bonus would be to retain all important memories as everyone having their memories is important to me. lol I hate resets where people forget their connections to each other- memories are what bring people close- especially in hard times.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I prefer no reset too. I hate resets.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Preferably without POlivia happy ending w Etta (never like this character), but Lincoln with our Olivia, Peter/Walter having a better relationship and Donald still being Donald. (If you know what I mean!)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Well, a reset to the day observers invaded, and as the team have the same age of that day the producers can come up with a way that the all have the memories of the time in the future but they returned to that day, so no one died, an Etta is alive...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well,we certainty do know there is morethanoneofeverthing, buy the sheer fact there is us,hahaha! you have the brains, mine is loopy! :D

    ReplyDelete
  58. All in all i just want to be able to think about them and wonder what they are doing at that moment.Did they have another child, does Walter still have his naked Tuesdays? Has Etta find herself a boyfriend...i would like to know they are still out there.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hey Musty where are you? You are sorely missed here, hope all is well!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah, you're right !

This make me think about a serie I love Prison Break, it's kind the same feeling I have here : I would love to have a great end, an happy one, but I don't know if it would fix the show ! I mean, Fringe (the same for Prison Break) isn't a soap, and it's not a show that appeals to a happy ending ! These show aren't made for happy ends ! but more a drama :p
But I really hope we will have a great end, because it way to frustating to see our fav characters dying !!! and I would love to see Etta happy with her parents !!! it's my big big wish !!!!! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. See I like Olivia with Peter so I disagree there, and I didn't mind Etta.

Can agree with the Peter and Walter relationship and especially on Donald being Donald.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I would like to see it end...

... with a surprise announcement that it's been renewed for season 6. ;-)

    Too much to ask?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wait, how did I miss that? Which episode was that in?

And at your second paragraph, looks you were right. ;)

  64. The Day We Died and the comic Peter and the Machine...

Peter and the machine Pt1 Pg2

    Central Park 2026

Peter: So We've already sent the machine back in time? We've done all of this before?

Walter: Oh, yes. An infinite number of times.

Peter:...But that means I have already seen this the consequences. I've seen this future. So Why do I always make the same choice?

Walter: That I don't know. Only you can answer that, Peter.

    ------------------------------------------

-Later in the comic (Peter and the Machine Pt2) Peter is time traveling through out history from the worm hole created in Central Park 2026 to leave behind the dismantlement machine parts at several locations though out time...

Tibet 1783 (Peter meets a version of the first Sam Weiss)

Peter: Sam, I think you'd better sit down. There is something I need to tell you.

    Sam: Who...are you?

Peter: I'm what you've been looking for. I am the First People, one of them at least.

    The Day We Died (Transcript):

ETER: I understand now. Walter? Walter! I understand now. I understand what the machine does. I know what it's capable of, and I know where it came from.

    WALTER: The First People?

PETER: Yes, The First People, Walter, but The First People are us -- you, most specifically and maybe Ella and Astrid -- I don't know. I don't know who it was that took the machine back through time. But I know something else. I've seen Doomsday, and it is worse than anything you could possibly imagine. This isn't a war that can be won. Our two worlds are inextricable. If one side dies, we all die. So I've torn holes in both the universes and they lead here, to this room. A bridge so that we can begin to work together to fix --

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yes especially with the lack of clothes. =) ;)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks a bunch for this! How could I forget The Day We Died? At least I'm almost there on my rewatch!

Though I never read the comics, they aren't available here (I think). But those do explain a lot! :)

    Thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sure, Anytime! :) In the show it's kind of glossed over. It's never really brought up again, but the comic IMO really helps you understand some things, like that there are bizzillions of iterations that came before "ours" and that "our" Peter isn't the first Peter to use the machine(s), that the machine showed him the past so not to repeat it, how the machine parts get here (from the previous time line), ect, ect.

I know it's available on the American Amazon and sometimes it is on Ebay. (They have both Peter and the Machine by itself, and then another issue that has Peter and the Machine along with the rest of Beyond the Fringe, but the other stories are "alternate time lines"...)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Etta reunited with her parents? Me too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. American Amazon requires a credit card, so does Ebay. Outside of the US credit cards aren't that common as you might think. ;)

I'm hoping a local comic book store might have them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Bummer, I Hope you can find them elsewhere!
