  1. So close to the finale, I had to answer Fringe. Lost would be also up there for me. I loved them both very much. I only watched Alias every once in a while but it was really good too. And Person of Interest is amazing, but it's only in its second season, so it isn't at the same level as Fringe and Lost IMO.

(I haven't watched Alcatraz - probably will one day -, Undercovers or Revolution. And Felicity was one of those shows that I'd watch if there was nothing else on, but I was never a fan of.

  2. Had to go with Person of Interest. Fringe is my second choice. The only reason they landed in that order is because I had some issues with the start of season 2 and, for me, there has been a smaller % of POI eps that I had issues with. :-)

  3. IMO LOST was his only good show.

  4. FRINGE! Then Person Of Interest and LOST. Oh, and Alias;)

  5. Lost followed closely by Fringe then Alias in third place.

  6. Alias for me,one of my all time favorites!
I've only watched the first two and a half seasons of Lost and (surprisingly) Fringe wasn't my thing.

  7. I loved LOST, but I voted for Fringe because I felt a lot more closure with its ending than I felt with LOST!

  8. This is a great question. I hovered between Alias and Lost, but went with Lost. Even though I had a lot of issues with the show in its final seasons, the first few seasons were some of the best hours of tv. And I blame Darlton more than Abrams for the decline.

Which brings me to the next question. How much influence has Abrams had on these different shows after they were launched? I could be wrong but I thought his pattern was to co-launch a show and then hand it off to someone else to run.

  9. I would agree if you said LOST was his only GREAT show I think, but I thought Fringe was good and POI is off to a nice start.

  10. I think you're right that JJ is not very hands on once his series start going.

He does come up with or honed some great ideas as foundations for his series....

  11. It will always be Lost for me. Greatest character show ever. Person of Interest is becoming a close second though

  12. Loved Fringe but voted LOST because it was epic.

  13. I haven't watched any other show from him except Alias and I love it :-) I'm not interest in the others. Although I'm going to watch Fringe.

  14. So hard to choose between lost and fringe. Both so absolutly incredible. But I just had to go with lost, for me my first tv obsession and my first epic tv drama adventure. Lost will forever be unparalleled in my eyes.

  15. Fringe. Then Person of Interest. Alias - never watched, but planning in summer watch. Alcatraz and Revolution ~ Ok. Lost - after season 4 give up, never was able to convince my self to finish watch.

  16. 1.LOST
2.Fringe (really it's tied for me with Lost)
3.Alias (Alias beats POI because I like the Fringe-Rambaldi stuff and the Family Saga aspect)
    4.Person of Interest
    5. Alcatraz
    6. Revolution (hard to judge with only ten episodes, but seems like it has the makings of greatness)
    7. Felicity
    8. Six Degrees
    9. Undercovers
    10. What About Brian (The one show I really didn't like, because it goes no where)

  17. I do agree that he isn't hands on all the time, but I'm pretty sure he gives a lot of notes/instructions and that he and Mr, Burke have the final approval. -The works play too much homage to each other and all together act as a work of art for me to think that he doesn't have much say. You have to be organised to some degree to do that.

  18. Fringe is good, Alcatraz was alright but nothing can beat LOST.

Oh, and let's forget Undercovers ever happened shall we? :P

  19. Fringe > Lost > Person of Interest > Revolution > Alcatraz for me. :)

Lost struggled MUCH in its final season even though it had its "end date" set for quite a while.
It was a great run, but in the end the conclusion disappointed me very much and it seemed like they ignored too much of what they built in the previous seasons.

Fringe also had a great run, but I didn't feel this (WHAT? THIS IS THE END?!) disappointment like I did with LOST. It had its weak moments (Season 4), but I think they finished it better than LOST.

Though I like both shows, Fringe is ahead a little.
Person of Interest is a nice show, but not comparable to my favorites Fringe and LOST, Revolution is ok but Alcatraz was very disappointing to me.

  20. 1. Fringe, 2. POI, 3. Lost.

  21. It will not allow me to vote for more than one...anyway:

Fringe.I love this show! I doubt i will find another series that has such an incredible cast, especially characters like Walter and Peter.

Lost-See,i said the same about Lost when it ended, another great cast of characters, and the mythology and storyline was a little over the top,i still loved it...just not as much as Fringe, sshh!

Alias-Love,loved this show! Jennifer Garner who wasn't just a clothes horse but kicked ass in every scene! Again great characters and really who didn't like Rambaldi and Sloan?

POI,then Revolution.I will hold judgement on Revolution for now,not quite sure how well i like it?

Alias. The ultimate proof you can retool a show as needed.

  23. Fringe was the best of all the shows!

  25. i absolutely loved fringe and alias! but i also liked person of interest and felicity. i cannot decide if fringe or alias is best.

  26. I like Lost 's a little better because the FS let me see the direction the characters are going in their next incarnation (it let us glimpse the the 2004-era in the up and coming time line and gives way to how the Island works-that there are variable sets and eventually people dealing with Island will get a life where they won't have to), where Fringe only gave a very small crumb in pointing us in a direction.

But I think emotionally they are tied and are both about letting go in order to get to a better place. The way both shows used "light" in their finale's, family (father and sons), and spiritual progression, I think is absolutely amazing and both shows are really nice juxtapositions to each other.

  27. LOST... Best Series Ever!!! It got an awesome pilot and a perfect ending for the series... People complained about it 'cause they didn't got the answears, but that was the whole point...

The Show was about a group of broken people that must survive on a wicked island... The show always pointed on the "Man of Science, Man of Faith"... Faith is believing on something without answears, just like Jack and the viewer... The Doc has faith that this things he did were the right ones, he doesn't know what does exactly, but he has faith... The LOST finale is very much like religion. That blind faith.

It seems perfect that the heavy thing in the end were the relationships forged by the characters...

This said, i would prefered that in the end the A-Bomb worked and created a second timeline, in which once they died, they reclaimed the lost memories of their past life because of the power of the Island.

PS: If you want to know what the island, Jacob and Samuel were you all just have to google it... It's all from a religion and it's pretty simple actually, but the beauty is not knowing... The point of the show was beliving in faith.

  28. I really liked Fringe, also really loved to see Alcatraz Back.
Voted for POI, I am a BIG fan.

  29. Always Lost. One of the best TV series of all time. It was just amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Why doesn't it surprises me that Lost won?

    ReplyDelete
  31. So far for me:

    1. LOST
    2. Person of Interest
    3. Fringe
    4. Alias
    5. Revolution
    6. Alcatraz

Haven't seen the other two, and I'm only in the middle of Season 1 in Alias. So Alias definitely has room to move up the list for me, as might Revolution since it's still ongoing. Person of Interest is still ongoing as well, but it just doesn't have quite the same type of fantastical mystery going for it that LOST did, so I doubt it'll be able to break that number 1 spot. However, since it is still ongoing, it has a chance to move down, but I doubt it will get there. The writing, characters, and stories are just too good so far.

  32. I always think it's SO hard to choose, because there are just these moments in these works that are so captivating, -so emotional, but yet at times SO similar. Like I think a lot of people didn't care for Lost episode 4x03 The Economist, but I loved it because it reminded me so much of Alias with Sayid being Ben's spy-assassin. Then MI:III has a lot in common with Alias Pilot, and Ghost Protocol had a lot in common with Alias' finale and fight scene choreography, -and Undercovers last un-aired episode theme/synopsis. (which David Anders also guessed stared in an episode of Undercovers as man named Matthew Hunt. In M.I. franchise Tom Cruise's character's name is Ethan Matthew Hunt).

It's stuff like that, that can be so much fun. Let alone the kinds of characters they make.

  33. I said Lost, BUT Person of Interest was a very close second. I went between the two for a little bit, but I chose Lost just because I was able to judge it as an overall series, which I can't do with Person of Interest. Person of Interest, though, is my current favorite show. I actually just sit and watch it (no computer or anything while it's on), and it's one of the few shows that I HAVE to watch live.

  34. How did Undercovers even get one vote?!?!

    Lost
    POI
    Fringe
    Revolution
    Alcatraz

Undercovers doesn't even get on the list!!

  35. It is to hard to choose, and this poll was no different! :) In case i forget i might not be here for the next few days,if i do have to go away i will be back Wed or Thursday. I should know tonight or tomorrow sometime?!?

  37. i still haven't seen the finale but i know some details about it since someone ruined it for me and told me some stuff abourt it but based on what i heaard about i think i may be in the minority who will actually like it i'm currently watch it on Netflix for the first time i'm already on the 9th episode of season 5 and my favourite character is Benjamin Linus :)

  38. Lost, by far. But I also liked Alias, Felicity and Fringe.

  39. Lost and Alias are my favorites, followed closely by Fringe. :)

  40. I largely think JJ Abrams gets credit for shows he has very little to do with other than getting them initially on the air. Of these though Fringe and Person of Interest were the best for me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Fringe because I'm still crying about the ending... and I only cried for Lost for 5 days.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I''l keep my eyes out for ya!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Lost isn't just the best of his its the best show ever!

    ReplyDelete
  44. JJ didn't have that much to do with lost after the first episode...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Without a hint of doubt LOST.

Not only is it JJ Abrams best show, but it is also THE GREATEST TV SERIES OF ALL TIME.

The story, The characters, The mysteries, The original way the story was told, The acting, The editing, The music etc etc....LOST is the most complete TV series there will probably EVER be.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This should not even be up for debate in all honestly, LOST for sure, Lost may have had 1 or 2 moments that were less than great, But let me ask this question to those that were disappointed... Have you ever seen a TV show that had as many truly great moments, Characters, Plot twists than LOST?? If you are honest you will say NO!

    ReplyDelete
  47. 1.LOST = The number 1 TV series of all time. Nuff said!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Totally agree, Lost at its worst was better than most shows at their best,

    ReplyDelete
  49. Alias. "Who do you work for, you pretty little girl?"

    ReplyDelete
  50. LOST
    Fringe
    Alias

I cant talk for the rest since i havent watched all of them and alcatraz started well and end up nowhere and im still trying to adjust revolution (not so into it so far) Still Lost is number one for many reasons. Despite how much i loved Fringe i believe it cant reach LOST despite how many issues both shows had .

Im okay with how both shows ended 89%. I have more issues with the Fringe ending than the LOST one. Maybe because i never expected Lost to answer all the questions they created in the last season and i wanted my characters to be completed in their stories and they had a proper ending all of them and it felt like one (for the characters always) when with Fringe except Walter the characters remained open and unclear with the issues they had in s5 and the "happy ending" wasn't bittersweet or happy it was OPEN.

PS: in how many of these shows JJ stayed more ? As handle the plot, characters, ending, direct episodes etc?
