A NEW DANGER — Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is furious when Klaus (Joseph Morgan) tries to control him by putting Matt’s (Zach Roerig) life in danger. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) coaches Jeremy as he prepares to take on Klaus’ new vampires, but they find that Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) has beaten them to it. Kol makes it clear that he will stop at nothing to convince everyone to give up the search for the cure. Looking for a new ally, Rebekah (Claire Holt) reminds Stefan (Paul Wesley) that they were once close friends. When Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) and Mayor Hopkins (guest star Rick Worthy) question Shane (guest star David Alpay) about his involvement in the Founders’ Council deaths, Bonnie (Kat Graham) steps in with questions of her own, and Shane’s responses push Bonnie to the edge of her powers. Elena (Nina Dobrev) negotiates with Klaus to keep Jeremy safe, but when danger suddenly appears from a totally unexpected enemy, Elena comes up with her own daring plan for Jeremy. John Dahl directed the episode written by Brian Young & Michael Narducci (#411).

  1. No Caroline or Tyler? oh well at least we got Rebekah back!

  2. They're probably in there. The fact that they weren't mentioned probably means that they're supporting the plots and subplots of the other characters rather than having their own storylines in this episode.

  3. It's about time they brought Liz back. She's been MIA for seven or eight episodes.

  4. WTF is Meredith? Wasn't she supposed to be Damon's new partner?

  5. Elena with a plan? Oh, my... they're dead

  6. So,in a show full of vampires that don't want to become humans again(most of them at least),Kol is the only one with enough sense to not want this cure found..Interesting!
I wonder if he simply doesn't want another threat looming over their heads or if there's something else going on.

  7. No one from the show ever directly answered whether or not Damon would actually get a new drinking buddy. The entire situation annoys me because it was made into such a big deal during the summer hiatus and then the entire issue was dropped from the show after a few episodes. Anyway...

You probably won't be seeing much of Meredith because her portrayer (Torrey DeVitto) booked a series-regular role on Army Wives.

  8. I'm not going to hate (yet). The first two times vampire Elena took action she helped save Caroline and a hunter wound up dead from a neck snap. +2 for vampire Elena.

  9. Of course there's something else going on. Whatever Kol's reason for doing this, you can bet it is somehow for his own benefit.

  10. Fucking hate Army Wives. We lost Gordon in SPN because of that fricking show.

They're doing the same that last year. What they said in the summer hiatus is BS. Remember the Romeo and Juliet story that was supposed to happen between Tyler and Caroline?.
