    As much as I would welcome Carell's return, either as a proper part or just a cameo, I totally understand and respect his decision. He had am amazing farewell episode, and the character doesn't need to come back.

    I respectfully disagree, I believe all the characters in a show at the start of it should be present in some form at the end of the show. It rewards long term viewers and gives a sense of closure. Although with the office i would settle for seeing him in flashbacks... or rewinds or something.. idk they have been filming a doco for 9 years they should at least show archival footage.

    Yes! New "Archival" footage would be perfect! Maybe Michael Scott left a video tape or there's a cut interview-- he could say thematic in Michael Scott fashion and leaves an exclamation to the shows ending! Please don't let us down!
