  1. Whoa! It seems like Henry may really be a hunter. Maybe he kept it from John?

Either way, I'm excited for this one!

  2. He's supposed to be in some kind of cult for some reason. I don't think he'll be a hunter, just demon aware.

  3. I agree.
He has shown no respect for the seasons that have gone before and which I consider to be much better that anything Carver has allowed his writers to give us this season, so I expect a poor episode with an updated Carver re-boot.

  4. I just read an article where five critics are asked during a round table, if Sam and Dean were both drowning who would they jump in to save. Four out of five of these well-known names said that they would save Dean and the fifth refused to choose.
All those who think that Sam is less loved by the 'critics' are right!

  5. I think the Winchesters and the Campbell's are cursed with knowledge of the supernatural and while Sam and Deana raised Mary in the life Johns parents decided it would be better kept from their children, and when those families met with Sam and Dean... Apocalypse. This also kind of mirrors how Sam and Dean would raise their children. Sam would raise his without knowledge Dean would raise them with knowledge. They could be setting up a whole new mythology for season 9. Which Im ok with. I miss John and Mary Winchester.

  6. Be a realistic purist. they are 8 seasons in they are bound to be re-writing or re-examining some elements of their family-mythology. Its how you keep a show at its roots.

  7. I actually thought that John's side knew nothing about hunting. If Henry is a hunter, then he kept it from John. Not sure that was a good thing.

  8. Didn't Dean's conversation with Michael allude to the whole bloodline aspect and a "random series of events" that brought them together? You'd have to believe both sides of the family knew. Children born with one parent as a hunter stand a 50% less chance of becoming one.

  9. I'm not necessarily a purist but unless this turns out to be a Winchester from an alternate reality then it makes no damn sense to me and I'm against it as well.

  10. i am confused I thought henry is their grandfather and not great grandfather why on earth he wouldn't know how john looks like ? his son we know he was alive when dean went back on time

  11. is henry an angel ? that would explain why he wouldn't know how his son looks like and if this creature is from hell does it mean she means trouble for crowley as well ?

  12. They should do the opposite of this at some point and send back Sam and/or Dean's kid(s) in time...

  13. Oh, that's interesting. And kinda creepy!

  14. I'm a purist. I don't think any writer with a history of character assassination and poor continuity skills should be allowed to add to the Winchester family mythos - particularly John. I will be side-eyeing every sentence, I'm afraid.

  15. Someone told me he was supposed to be in the cult to protect John so it's not all that creepy if that's right.

  16. I think it's Adam Glass this time, but I may be wrong. I don't like some of his characterizations, so any tampering with John's background will leave me apoplectic, especially the way John has been retconned by the show already. I'm really looking forward to it, but I just don't trust Glass not to FUBAR it.

  17. Sam lloks so much like his Grampa, they have similar facial features. Thats great casting. Looking forwards to this one hope its more Sam centric (doubtful) since episode 11 was more Dean centric and I hope they tie the Winchesters in with this seasons mythology on a more personal level.

  18. Maybe John was just a kid in 1958? So Henry doesn't know what he'll look like all grown up? I'm still not sure why'd he come forward in time looking for John (he or whoever sends him has enough info to know that John becomes a hunter, enough to pop into the closet where the boys are, but not enough to know that John is dead and not anywhere near said closet?)

I don't think anything in hell is a problem for Crowley, as he is King, but Crowley isn't on the boys' side.
