FELICIA DAY RETURNS! — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate the mysterious deaths of two LARPers (Live Action Role Playing) who were playing a game entitled Moondoor. The guys are thrilled to discover the Queen of Moondoor is none other than Charlie (guest star Felicia Day). The three learn that a fairy (guest star Tiffany Dupont) has been commandeered to harm people and the only way to stop her is to find her master. Yes, Charlie! Yes fairies! Cannot wait for this episode. It sounds like it's going to be funny and awesome. Please don't hurt me in the feels, though. That always tends to happen in the funny episodes at some point.
ReplyDeleteFIGHT THE FAIRIES! FIGHT THOSE FAIRIES! LOL
ReplyDeleteFAIRIES
ReplyDeleteI hope they remember that Dean can see fairies, etc. The new writers are so hit & miss on continuity, though Thompson can be good sometimes.
ReplyDeleteFairies? Fairies! Oh please no. Robbie Thompson, you were my favorite last year but I'm not sure your reputation can take both Bitten and fairies.
ReplyDeleteFlo, the only fairy I have ever liked, has been conspicuously absent this season. However just for once, I would like the writers to forget something I don't want to see. Please forget that fairies are supposed to be so powerful that they can enter the cage and get people out. Superjuiced Tinkerbell is one screwball idea I can do without.
ReplyDeleteLet's just hope there are a whole lot of microwaves at that Renaissance fair.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds plain awful. Like getting a popcorn husk caught in the back of your throat.
ReplyDeleteFairies? Really? Why?
ReplyDeleteI was excited enough to have them at a Renn Faire with the promise of armor and swords and leather.... YES to Charlie and fairies!!! I'm confident Robbie Thompson can pull this ALL off! But they do have to remember that Dean can see fairies... I'm wondering if his little escapade in the land of fairy is going to be a factor in any other ways....
ReplyDeleteYuck Faries1 I thought we had seen the last of them.
ReplyDelete[ Dean: It was a little, glowing, hot, naked lady with... nipples, and... she hit me.] Sheesh!
X
I want my scary brooding show back. Where's a Wendifgo when you need one.
" The three " does that incluce cas? yay!!!
ReplyDeleteLoL!
ReplyDeleteIt seems JC as showrunner has a deleterious effect on everything, including the writers!
I think it refers to the brothers +Charlie.
ReplyDeleteno, No, NO, not with the fairies again! Why do they do this to my poor Robbie?
ReplyDeleteno that means Sam, Dean and Charlie clearly
ReplyDeletemaybe this will be a different take on fairies rather than the stupid version from season 6
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but just the word faries makes me think of Tinkerbell with her magic wand and fairy dust, so how they can make this kind of story in any way serious, seems difficult to me.
ReplyDeleteAdd in Charlie and the weirdness is assured.
X
The only postive thing I take from the synopsis is the fact that Sam and Dean are investigating together, I hope for the entire episode.
X
As for Thomson, it seems he is training to be the vice-Edlund with these 'unusual' episodes!
well since JC has this whole lather, rinse, repeat thing going on this year I hope they will pretty much rip up the previous established law from season 6 and give us a new take on faeries but its doubtful.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forwards to the Ren Faire and costumes though, think that could be fun. Dont have a lot of experience with LARPing so thats going to be interesting, learning what that entails.
I'm going to assume the mater will be one of the LARPers? and the fairy will be pretty much what we saw i season 6 and Dean will be the one to see her and figure out that they are dealing with a a fairy.
Not sure how this one fits in to the brother's storyline, I dont imagine they'll be on good terms by then more likely they'll have just buried their issues and all the tension will just magically dissapear for a week or two only to magically appear up again randomly a few episodes later.
Frannie!! I'm so happy to see someone from Greek on the show!! Tiffany Dupont was wonderful as Queen B on Greek! Hopefully, they use her to the fullest extent. I'm not sure about Charlie's return. I didn't love or hate her character last season, but I was annoyed with the brothers guest starring in their own show. I really hope that she is toned down on the quirky geek thing and doesn't take over the episode. I want to see Tiffany Dupont interact with BOTH brothers and not just Charlie.
ReplyDeleteFrannie!! I'm so happy that someone from Greek is coming to Supernatural. Tiffany Dupont was wonderful as the Queen B of ZBZ. I'm not sure how I feel about Charlie. I didn't love or hate her last season, but I was annoyed with how the brothers were guest starring in her episode. Hopefully, they tone down the quirky geek thing in this episode. I hope that Tiffany gets to have scenes with BOTH brothers and not just Charlie. I think she'll be able to hold her own against the brothers and it's always a pleasure to have good acting between the heroes and villains.
ReplyDeleteI would have them still be able to get into the cage if Sam remembers THAT and does something to get Adam out and his soul in heaven. Adam is a hanging thread and I really would like that wrapped up and put to bed forever. Then the fairies can loose the ability, or not have any reason to help do it ever again. But some part of me wants Adam out.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun ep, I was a huge fan of Clap Your Hands, now add Charlie and LARPing..YES.
ReplyDeleteI loved Clap your hands, Jared was awesome as clueless Sam, it is my second favorite fun ep. Dean and the naked lady was a hoot.
ReplyDeleteCas isn't going to appear in a number of episodes in a row. FYI.
ReplyDeleteLARPing nerdy girls and fairies? I miss the time when SPN was scary and the episodes weren't all over the place.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward for this episode (mainly about Felicia Day) but then I read fairies and then I was kinda :/
ReplyDeleteYou got me there. I always assumed he was lying to Sam about that. Being a stickler for continuity is a two-edged sword for sure.
ReplyDeleteYES! Fight The Fairies! Fight Those Fairies! Dean vs Fairy round two! I hope we get Dean and Sam in some Renaissance outfits like suits of armour, that'd be hot!
ReplyDeletegiven the premise of the show did Sam ever really have a choice?
ReplyDelete@rehabber:disqus I also really loved Clap Your Hands but I don't think I want to see them again this soon unless they're going to dive into some of the darker myths with seems unlikely with LARP-ing and the almost annoyingly perky Felicia Day.
ReplyDelete@Robin Smyth
ReplyDeleteI loved 'Clap Your Hands' because of RoboSam.
He was really funny in it as was the dialogue between him and Dean that a brother should be upset and out looking when the other disappears, not cavorting under the sheets with a hippie. :).
Then the scene with the tiny tea-cups was priceless!
X
The part I didn't like was the fairy theme.
At the time I couldn't understand why Dean was stalked and beaten up by the guy in the red hat. It was never explained in the episode where it should have been and we never got a clear explanation about what happened to Dean in the Fairy Realm either.
Oooohh!! Sounds like a good fun one!
ReplyDeleteI'd rather pretend Adam was a horrible nightmare and never revisit him again. Including Adam is one of my biggest criticisms of Kripke.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Never bringing up the fairy realm again was on my Supernatural wish list.
ReplyDeleteI just finished watching some of the best episodes in season 1 again and I really miss the tone of it, along with many other things. Those were standalone episodes like this one but they had bite too.
ReplyDeleteI'm willing to forget the whole contrived brother rift if the writers are. At this point I've stopped looking for an actual reason for it and will be content if it just goes away.
ReplyDeleteWhy do they do this to poor me? :-P
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that it would be hard to be more cheesy than the Elves and the Shoemaker scene or Tinkerbell.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to get your wish if the spoilers from a few weeks ago are right.
ReplyDeleteI got 10 bottles of Johnny Walker blue label for Christmas, I could send you a bottle, let me know, LOL!
ReplyDeleteHa! That's awesome. Pour a bit out in memory of Rufus for me. Now I wish I drank. I have a feeling it would make this episode less painful if I did. My greatest hope for this episode (besides Felicia Day) is that I am going in with so little expectation, just like French Mistake and Season 7 Time for a Wedding, that it is likely to be better than I expected just like those two.
ReplyDelete@isleofskye:disqus I wasn't really a fan of RoboSam, I like our Padalecki emo and cute. My favorite part was Dean microwaving the fairy with Space Oddity playing. As a David Bowie fan, I thought it was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteBring in the fairies from True Blood. Then I could have an even bigger laugh.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I'll pretend it doesn't exist, because half the time the reasons are twisted from thin air and don't hold much weight, let alone help the story along. The writers really need to go watch some good movies or mini-series about brotherhood like "Band of Brothers", because they prove that it is possible to have a compelling story without forced drama and constant conflict. The bad guys if written well should be able to provide enough drama on their own.
ReplyDeleteWell said!
ReplyDeleteThe brothers are a team and there should be plenty of interesting supernatural evil out there to keep two hunting brothers busy without having pass most of the episodes hating on each other because of old and already superated and pardoned conflict.
The hacker, thats good but im gonna miss Cas, wish he was regular.
ReplyDeleteI still think the writers should have to watch seasons 1 and 2 to be reminded what this show is about. At this point they need to bury the brother drama altogether. Even if they had a reason for it, which so far they don't, it would still be old and tired since season 4. One of the number one things on my wish list this summer was that they get the drama from the plot instead of always having to kill someone off for that. Little did I know that I should have added pointless brother drama to it. If they cannot come up with new ways to add drama to the story, they should go write for a nighttime soap and leave Supernatural well enough alone. TNT may need some more writers for Dallas.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The supposed quest we may actually see in the far distance some day (i. e. four episodes before the season ends) could have provided that drama, especially if they were in a race against Crowley to finish it. It's not that hard, writers. It's called Supernatural for a reason.
