Rob Corddry has landed the lead in ABC's Spy pilot.
Based on the British series of the same name, Spy is a half-hour, single-camera comedy about the well-intentioned father (Corddry) of a highly intelligent and verbal son, who also happens to be his complete opposite. Dear old dad inadvertently takes a job at the secret service in order to prove himself a worthy father.

I really like Corddry in supporting roles, but I'm not so sure how I'd like him as the lead. Then again, I'm not planning on watching this if it gets picked up anyway since I already got my fill of the premise from the British version. He could probably do the role justice though.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like him as the lead for this show...if they don't stray too far from the quirky feel of the British series. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that series will work here in its pure form.
