Darth Locke:
1) Revolution: Since episode six, the show has really turned around and climbed nicely to a great mid-season finale! The actors feel like they have got it, the execution of episodes are much better, their content is more acceptable/interesting, and Charlie's role and the mythology is finally evolving. If they can keep on this track and perhaps start expanding to other parts of the Revolution universe (with perhaps glimpses of what other groups of people are doing), then I feel good about a season 2 renewal.
2) Boardwalk Empire: So far I am wrong about season 3 being a dream, but to say the reality didn't change and present something surreal and fate orientated in Boardwalk's universe, I think would be lie. At any rate I am intrigued with what season 3 brought in relation to the future of Nucky Thomson. However, seemingly even with a certain character casting for season 4, the writers are admit that Jimmy is not to escape the mind of either Nucky and/or the viewers and his death and/or the chose to kill Jimmy personally, seems vital in what ever lies ahead. The one resolution I hope for is to NOT make Boardwalk a show about existential nihilism, like The Sopranos. We have already seen that, -and I would hope the romantic nature of Boardwalk's time period will provide more positive exploration into the complicated life of Nucky Thomson, rather than "it was all in vein".

3) Person of Interest: If there is one show on television that only get's better with age and was never a disappointment to begin with, it is Person of Interest. My only resolution for this Nolan-Abrams match made in heaven is NOT to kill of any main character too soon! (That means do NOT kill Fusco before the middle of season 3 please, if ever!) And if you want to make Ken Leung a heavy reoccurring guest star, by all means go ahead! I also love our new addition, Bear!
4) Dexter: Season 7 was fantastic, but the lead in from season 6 with it's 'doomsday themes' continuing to reside in Dexter and Deb's lives makes me worry if there can be any kind of happy ending for Dex, assuming season 8 is going to be the final season? -But I hope the writers find a creative, cheeky and somewhat fun or pleasant way to end it, because again there is only so many times I can watch a great show end in vein and ultimately defeat it's own purpose.
5) For New mid Season shows and/or Pilots in production: I hope NBC continues to be the network it once was with upcoming shows like Deception, Hannibal, and The Gilded Age. For Bad Robot's works, I'm wishing for Josh Holloway to return to TV and either become a cop in J. H. Wyman's and J.J. Abram's currently untitled ' bombastic futuristic buddy-cop android drama' (which sounds very red universe Fringe Division -and it is my favorite up and coming pilot projects from the company), or in the tentatively titled, "Believe" (which J.J. Abrams teams up with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban's director, Alfonso Cuaron). Also hopeful that Bates Motel can find a way to make Alfred Hitchcock's Pyscho more interesting. And lastly, I'm hopeful that I can live with what Downton Abbey has done, because it sounds pretty depressing!?
4) Dexter: Season 7 was fantastic, but the lead in from season 6 with it's 'doomsday themes' continuing to reside in Dexter and Deb's lives makes me worry if there can be any kind of happy ending for Dex, assuming season 8 is going to be the final season? -But I hope the writers find a creative, cheeky and somewhat fun or pleasant way to end it, because again there is only so many times I can watch a great show end in vein and ultimately defeat it's own purpose.

Jamie Coudeville:
1) The Vampire Diaries: Of course my shipper heart would like to see much more Damon & Elena (but I doubt that will be a problem). Also I'd like for Caroline to stop bashing Damon, I get that she doesn't like him but that doesn't mean that Damon fans (like myself) should have to sit through her constant rants. I'd also like to see a whole lot more Rebekah. And last but not least, I'd like Katherine back. Not in flashbacks (although that's always welcome) or hallucinations but actually back.
2) How I Met Your Mother: I'd like for us to find out who the mother is by the end of the season. Since season 9 will most likely be the last one, they can use it to kind of explore her relationship with Ted. I think a lot of us would be disappointed if we didn't meet the mother until the very last episode of the show. Also I want to see Robin & Barney's wedding.
3) Castle: I'd like to see Kate move in with Castle by the end of the season. A proposal would be way to soon but I think that moving in would be a nice compromise.
4) Nikita: I'd like for the season finale to be the Mikita wedding. I also want a 4th season since this show is absolutely awesome. And frankly I'd like some better promotion. I feel like the CW is completely ignoring this show. I mean we've only gotten 6 episodes because of that stupid hiatus. I thought the whole point of the shows starting in October was so that there would be less hiatuses.
5) The Secret Circle: I'd like for this show to be miraculously revived. Pretty please.
Jimmy Ryan:
1) Castle: This season of Castle is definitely different to the previous seasons, with a relationship between one of the hottest couples on TV finally underway. In my opinion, the first 9 episodes of this season have been better than the first 9 of the other seasons gone before, so I'm hoping this trend continues! But the New Years Resolution I want to see the most is the conclusion of the Johanna Beckett murder investigation. This arc has run its course, and it's time for something new
2) Scandal: The moment Harrison conned the famous "Gladiators in Suits" in the series premiere last year, I was hooked by this sensational show. In just 16 episodes over 2 seasons, Scandal has taken off, with exceptional characters who are played brilliantly by their actors, and a plot that gets thicker every episode. The last three episodes have been the best in the series and are on my list of the best episodes I've watched from any show ever. There's little I want this show to change in the new year, but I'm really looking forward to the birth of the Grant's baby, and more on the history of Quinn Perkins/Lindsay Dwyer, and what happens to Huck. Then there's whether Fitz will live to see another day in the Oval Office. So much to look forward to, with so little time to fit it all in!

3) Person of Interest: POI is my favorite show this year. Jonathan Nolan has got everything right, and with such positive ratings, a third season is all but secured. I'm really looking forward to some of the recurring characters hopefully returning for the back half of this season, with Cara Stanton, Zoe Morgan, and Mark Snow the stand-outs for me. The pasts that all these characters have, along with Finch, Reese, Carter and Fusco, are incredibly complex and it's been fantastic watching them develop. Like Scandal, changing anything for POI would be a dumb idea because things are so good right now, with surprises around every corner. I'm looking forward to the continued development of the characters' pasts, the return of recurring characters, and of course the imminent return of Elias and HR. And how Reese escapes custody on January 3 will be a sight to see.
John Aspler:
1) Don't Trust The Bitch In Apartment 23: I hope that this isn't the last year for lots of fantastic new and aging sitcoms. In particular, I hope that ABC doesn't cancel Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23, which, barring a couple of failed episodes, is one of the most novel and progressive comedies on television at the moment.
2) Glee: I want Glee to either get back on track or to get off the air. This season has been... passable, but lacks the occasional flash of brilliance that made the long slog through mountains of awful worth anyone's time.
3) Doctor Who: I can't wait to see more of the chemistry between Jenna-Louise Coleman and Matt Smith on Doctor Who. Stephen Moffat is doing a brilliant job and April can't come any sooner.
4) The Newsroom: I hope that the Newsroom remains spectacularly written while somehow dealing with its white male messiah/hysterical women (i.e. sexism) problems.
Júlia Albuquerque:
1) Sherlock: I second the Sherlock season 3 wish. (see Justina Kubica)
2) Dexter: For Dexter to stop fucking Debra's character up.
3) Once Upon A Time: For OUAT to stop adding so many characters and focus on the ones we have. Also, if it is not too much to ask, can we not kill Regina? (I just have a bad feeling about that).
4) NCIS: For NCIS not dropping the ball on the pseudo "year of the Tiva".
5) Grey's Anatomy: For Shonda to learn that finales do not have to mean huge episodes where someone must die and or loose a limb or even break up. After the gunman and the plane crashES, I'm sort of waiting for either nuclear explosion or zombie apocalypse.
6) Warehouse 13: More HG - and a better overall quality - for the second half of the 4th season for Warehouse 13. But mainly more HG.
Justyna Kubica:
1) Once Upon A Time: Would love to see more interactions between father&daughter duo, meaning Emma&Charming on Once Upon A Time.
2) Supernatural: Can't wait to see Dean&Sam back on the same page, after working out their problems, trying (and hopefully succeeding at their plan) to close the gates of hell forever. BTW, I love this idea, I've been waiting for something like this for years!
3) Sherlock: SHERLOCK SEASON 3 - just want to WATCH it! Enough said!
4) Characters on TV shows in general: And general note: I would like for my favorite (and main) characters to take a break from their (lately) often departures and stop dying in such a painful and heartbreaking to watch way. Definitely need a break in this department. Hopefully a long one. I'm talking to you, BBC! Mostly...
5) Nikita: Also, obviously, I'm hoping for my shows, especially those in danger, to get another season, like Nikita, which is such an amazing and completely underrated show!
Klutzy Girl:
1) How I Met Your Mother: I hope Barney and Robin get married in the season finale, and Ted meets The Mother. Then we can see them dating in season nine, the final season.
2) Supernatural: I hope Sam and Dean resolve their problems on Supernatural and the amazingness that is this season continues.
3) Haven: I hope it's revealed Nathan is the father of the Colorado Kid on Haven because I believe it's 100% true. He and Audrey also need to talk and become a real couple.
4) May Sweeps: I hope May sweeps isn't a bloodbath of cancelled shows.
5) Once Upon A Time: I hope August comes back on Once Upon A Time soon because I miss him. I also want Aurora and Mulan to get together because they have so much chemistry. More time with the Charmings would also be great.?

5) Once Upon A Time: I hope August comes back on Once Upon A Time soon because I miss him. I also want Aurora and Mulan to get together because they have so much chemistry. More time with the Charmings would also be great.?
Lucy Perussi:
1) Revenge: Well, I'd love Revenge to pick up the rhythm it seems to have lost since the end of season 1. I love this show, but I can't watch a full episode anymore. It is really sad.
2) The Good Wife: Also, I'd love to Alicia and Peter Florrick to give their wedding a second chance and I'd love Eli and Diane to hook up, and see more of Martha Plimpton on The Good Wife.
3) Homeland: In Homeland, I'd really like that Saul was the mole.?
2) The Good Wife: Also, I'd love to Alicia and Peter Florrick to give their wedding a second chance and I'd love Eli and Diane to hook up, and see more of Martha Plimpton on The Good Wife.
3) Homeland: In Homeland, I'd really like that Saul was the mole.?
Pascal:
1) Fringe: I hope Fringe keeps the roll it has been on going. Currently season 5 is really off the charts and the uptick in it's ratings is showing that. Let's hope it goes out with a bang!
2) Person Of Interest: Unbelievable show! It came out the gate being good, but it still keeps improving over time! Increasingly becoming one of my favorite shows of all time and it is only in it's second season! Keep it up POI!
3) Homeland: Another show that has show enormous improvements over it's first season and has picked up the pace but not at the cost of it's psychological edge. So was Brody still working for Nazir? I believe so!
4) Revolution: It started okay, but has gotten increasingly better since it's premiere! Watch Charlie's character evolve from naive and afraid of the world to bad ass and taking lives without hesitation has been a force to watch! Now if only Danny would make himself useful!
5) ABC: Really ABC? You cancelled Last Resort? I loved that show! Perhaps you shouldn't have set it up to be doomed on arrival by programming it at 8 PM on Thursdays! This show may have thrived in a better time slot, but alas. So Zero Hour has my interest, but it's programmed in the same slot as Last Resort was. I guess I won't be watching as you will cancel it after it's first thirteen episodes anyway. Such a shame!
Robin Smyth:
1) Castle: I hope they don't try too hard on Rick and Kate's relationship. In other words, I hope they keep doing what they did the first half of the season and not try and change the dynamic too much. Just because they're together doesn't mean that they should change who they are even if they do move in together and eventually get married. You know these two will be bickering down the aisle! (in the cutest possible way)
2) Justified: Now that Natalie Zea has her own show with Kevin Bacon don't have her be on Justified any longer. She's the most annoying character on the show. And also, let's not have the new girl, Jackie Nevada become the new Winona.
2) Justified: Now that Natalie Zea has her own show with Kevin Bacon don't have her be on Justified any longer. She's the most annoying character on the show. And also, let's not have the new girl, Jackie Nevada become the new Winona.
Sharon Seymour:
1) Dexter: Just want this show to continue where it left off in Season 7. Don't get sidetracked by subplots and focus on the main story and hope it ends well.
2) Homeland: Just carry on being awesome!
3) Person of Interest: More of the same, but more Reese/Finch interaction with Fusco. Add a little more humor!
4) General: Networks give your new shows a chance. Shows like Last Resort/666 Park Avenue were never given a chance.
5) The Walking Dead: Keep on rocking and continue to shock us. Don't let the recent show runner exit impact on Season 4.
2) Homeland: Just carry on being awesome!

5) The Walking Dead: Keep on rocking and continue to shock us. Don't let the recent show runner exit impact on Season 4.
Tasha Ellis:
1) Grey's Anatomy: I want Grey's Anatomy and Scandal to get an early pick-up for next season....I can't handle the last minute nonsense.
2) House Of Lies: I hope House of Lies remains as funny and smart as it did in its first season.
3) Glee: I hope this is the last season of Glee....or that they somehow get rid of the new cast.
4) The Big Bang Theory: I want The Big Bang Theory to let Raj find true love.
Thomas Breton:
1) AMC: I hope AMC stops screwing with their show runners they're the heart and soul of their critically acclaimed hit series and messing with that is no good for these series and for AMC's future.
2) SyFy: I hope SyFy becomes an actual science-fiction channel again (with upcoming series Defiance and Rewind), and not just a reservoir for procedurals in disguise (that they end up cancelling anyway).
3) Netflix: I hope Netflix is truly successful with all its ambitious, serialized, original content (House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Arrested Development S4, Orange is the New Black) and that this success has big repercussions on the TV/film industry, with internet gaining recognition as a source of quality programming and thus slowly becoming a new alternative to cable. And even though I'm not as interested in their possible series, I wish success to Amazon too, as I think letting internet users rate their favorite among a bunch of pilots can be a good idea.
4) Networks: I hope The Following, Hannibal, Crossbones, Dracula and all the serialized, ambitious broadcast network dramas premiering in the upcoming months are met with strong support from the networks (wait until the season is over to make a decision) and big ratings, so that they keep doing that sort of shows which I believe shouldn't be secluded to FX, AMC or premium cable. Also, I wish DVR numbers and online activity is seriously taken into account.
5) NBC: I hope NBC's success this season (#1 network on A18-49 this fall) will allow them to cut some slack to their brilliant comedies, therefore renewing Parks & Rec (not too worried about that one though) and Community (I'm kind of worried) for another season.?

I hope you all enjoy the read. And please leave your own thoughts on these resolutions or maybe even add resolutions of your own for your favorite shows in the comments below!

NIKITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you Pascal. Thanks for compiling all these, good stuff.
ReplyDeletemodern family - mitch and cam have to adopt their second child even tough gloria is pregnant
ReplyDeleteCastleAlways!!The number 1!!
ReplyDeleteSome great wishes there.
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad - I really desperately need for Skyler, Jesse and Hank to all play a part in Walter's demise. I kind of hope in a way that the show doesn't end with his death but maybe a bit more Vic Mackey like and stripped of his power.
Comedies - The one thing the big networks have been good at lately is interesting fun comedies but sadly the best ones are all on the bubble ratings wise. As we are losing 30 Rock and the slightly improved Office I hope that NBC renews Community and Parks and Rec and that ABC gives another season each to Don't Trust The Bitch, Happy Endings and Suburgatory and even though it seems unlikely Fox please give Ben and Kate another chance.
Justified - I have complete faith in everything this show does, so more of the same especially like it when Boyd and Raylan are forced to work with each other. Some awards recognition would be nice.
Doctor Who - For the 50th Anniversary please give us a multi doctor episode, I long to see 11 interact with 9 and 10 and god I would love to see the vastly underrated 8 get a chance to be on screen again.
New shows - Hannibal against all odds looks really interesting especially seems different for a Fuller show I would like it to be good and succeed. The S.H.I.E.L.D TV series has to happen and be a success, I need a weekly dose of Whedon and something to enjoy in between the Marvel films.
I agree on all things Castle :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, everyone :)
Nice list, I agree on all of the HIMYM and Once upon a time and NBS comments!
ReplyDeleteKill Regina???!!!! Are you out of your mind???!!!!!
ReplyDelete------
Vote!!! http://www.tv.com/features/best-of-2012/vote/poll/SpecialFeatures:list:best-dramatic-actress
BREAKING BAD - Find a way to end the series poignantly without going down the extremely predictable "the cancer is back" route. Evil can be punished in more ways than killing it; be creative and intelligent. I don't want to see how it ends coming.
ReplyDeleteDEXTER - Basically the same as Breaking Bad. I don't need to see Dex being arrested or punished for his actions in an obvious way. You've spent all this time establishing the fact that Dexter no longer considers himself as a sociopath, that he's capable of strong feelings and empathy. He can't be redeemed, but you don't need to redeem him, you can move him forward.
TVD - Don't cure Elena. Actually, don't cure anyone, because the only character that might be made more interesting by it is Stefan, and that would be a temporary thing (obviously). At the same time, don't drag out the storyline (or the sire bond) much longer. Also, try to get out from under Klaus for a little bit. The contrivances necessary to keep him involved are going to wear thin soon. I think we can survive four or five episodes without Joseph Morgan. One more thing: Stop writing Caroline so self-righteously: It's making me dislike her.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER - Do not delay the Barney/Robin wedding and Mother reveal to next season because you got renewed. You've already scared me in interviews, Bays & Thomas. You've dragged this crap out WAY too long. Dragging it out longer might seriously be one of the five worst decisions made by showrunner(s) in modern TV history. That bad.
JUSTIFIED - Keep kicking ass.
Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteDean and Castiel finally getting together. That's what I want
ReplyDeleteikita *.*
ReplyDeleteI second that.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural. Dean and Cas to be together, and Cas to be an equal member of the team.
Supernatural - It's already on the right track, so they should keep doing what they're doing. It also includes taking the next step with Dean and Cas's relationship and making them get together already!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!
ReplyDeleteSUPERNATURAL - I want to Dean and Castiel to be together for real at the end of the season, for them to resolve their issues and step forward the relationship in what it really is: a romantic one.
ReplyDeletemusical episode
ReplyDeleteSame here, Veronica. Me and my dad, and my friends. We all want that.
ReplyDeleteFor Supernatural, I'm loving what they're doing so far so I wouldn't ask for much. All I really want is for Dean and Cas to finally take the next natural step in their relationship and get together.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: for Dean and Castiel to become a couple on the show, and for the show to continue being amazing and go on at least all the way to season 10 : )
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - for the writers to finally stop breaking Team Free Will apart (we've seen enough of that in S6 and S7), let them work together.
ReplyDeleteLiterally all we want is for Destiel to be canon. Literally. Like, you don't even have to give us anything else. Just that.
ReplyDeleteFor Supernatural, I too wish for Dean and Castiel to finally get together as a romantic couple, and for Sam and Dean to resolve their issues.
ReplyDeleteAlso for Gabriel to be brought back to the show somehow (he's an archangel who perhaps could use some *chough* PUNISHMENT RESURRECTION *cough* or something.) I love Gabriel, his episodes were so funny. And I hope Samandriel survives. That would be it.
Holy crap at all the Dean/Castiel should be a couple posts... either I missed something in the last year or....
ReplyDeleteDean and Cas really should get together. They hinted at it so many times, but now it's time for them to really become a couple!! >.<
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: Team Free Will working together and Dean and Cas becoming a couple (come on, you can't tease us forever). That's basically all I want :)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural. I want the show to decide once and for all if Cas is still a valuable part of the story or not. If the answer is yes, I want Misha Collins to become a regular again. In this case, I feel the show should finally give the character the attention it deserves. If the answer is no, I want them to stop bringing Castiel back for fan service and move on.
ReplyDeleteThat relationship has a lot of support and it's getting bigger and bigger. :) the writers are not very subtle in that department and Misha continuously showed his support for Dean and Castiel. I think it's cool :)
ReplyDeleteTo Klutzy Girl: Haven last episodes from season 3 are already out on iTunes. You should REALLY check them out.
ReplyDeleteI second your wish about Doctor Who! Would LOVE to see that!
ReplyDeletencis - ziva and tony need to be a couple
ReplyDeleteDean and Castiel getting together as a couple. I can't die before it happens.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: I want them to realize how integral Castiel (Misha Collins) is to the show, and make him a regular again. Also a slenderman episode.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - Dean and Cas need to become a romantic couple
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - Dean and Castiel getting together is what I want to see. They're THIS close to be overdue..
ReplyDeleteFor Supernatural - Dean and Cas FINALLY admitting they love each other and getting together! CANON!
ReplyDeleteYep, definitely! Our boys deserve to be happy, and they'd find that happiness with each other.
ReplyDeleteI second your opinion on Misha being a regular. Anyway, I think he's the only one in the trio who gets a decent logical plotline. I think Castiel is important to the show and they know it. I just hope that we'll see more of him and be able to stop praying for his safety.
ReplyDeleteSame! That's all I want in the WORLD
ReplyDeleteYeah, the fanbase for the relationship is growing more and more, and even Misha Collins himself has joined it. :) Dean and Cas becoming a canonically romantic couple on the show would be important to a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: Team Free Will hunting together at the end of the season. And for Destiel to be canon at the end of the season. Just imagine <3
ReplyDeleteSherlock: Season 3, please! I want to know how Sherlock survived the fall, and for John to know his friend is alive.
Doctor Who: More episodes/specials this season. New companion looks brilliant with Matt Smith.
Supernatural: At this point, there's nothing I wish more than Dean and Cas getting together, I think the writers were hinting at it too much already and they should really start working on that relationship soon. For the show, I wish Sam and Dean would sort out their problems, and to allow eachother to have their own life outside of hunting.
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries: I'm a big Delena shipper, so I hope they will stay together. And for the show itself, I wish for them to focus more on the main characters and their storylines, the hybrid storyline wasn't that interesting and they spent far too much time on it IMO.
DEXTER-just keep being awesome.
ReplyDeleteBREAKING BAD-go out in a blaze of bone jarring glory that breaks my heart.
SUPERNATURAL-keep up the the once again awesome writing, and on a related note, just let Dean and Cas be a couple. It's a romance, dude. It just is. Just let it happen and get on with the monster killing coolness we all know and love.
SHERLOCK-air Season 3 before I have grandkids.
DOWNTON ABBEY-Dowager. All Dowager all the time. Love Maggie Smith
I've liked seeing the character development of Sam & Dean on Supernatural, I would also like to see Dean and Cas' relationship progress, season 8 has done a lot with that so far and it would seem only natural to take the next step. Also, seconded on wanting to see NBC's Community renewed for another season!
ReplyDeletei agree castiel and dean have to be a couple
ReplyDeleteSeconded! And I've wanted a slenderman episode forever!
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: I want Team Free Will back with full force, featuring Garth and the Trans as new members. I want Sam and Dean to work out their problem, some bro moments between Sam and Cas and of course Dean and Cas getting together
ReplyDelete.
How I Met Your Mother: they're quite on track, just want to see Barney and Robin's wedding and finally meet Ted's wife this ss
For Supernatural: Cas back in Team Free Will and Misha back as a regular for S9; a mytharc for Dean that doesn't get regifted elsewhere at the last minute; happiness and peace of mind for Sam whatever choices he makes...
ReplyDeleteI agree he has a great storyline, but it doesn't get a lot of attention and only matters when he's around. It barely affects Dean and Sam outside the few scenes Castiel is in, and this bothers me. If Cas is to stay around, I want him to have more than just a few guest appearances and one or two character-centric episodes. In fact, I could do without the character-centric episodes if he became a more regular part of the show (and the plot!) again - much like he was in seasons 4 and 5.
ReplyDeleteAgain, the depression-story is well-written and touching, and I think it was a brave move to include something like that in a show that - seen from the outset - is mostly about two brothers driving around, killing shit. I don't deny that. I just wonder where Carver's going with it. And if he isn't going anywhere, I admit I'd rather see Cas dead than get some random guest appearances and half-hearted (if well-written plot-lines) that primarily serve to appease fans and boost ratings.
Dean and Cas need to make it official already. Would also be nice to hear from Adam.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - Dean and Cas getting together
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - I really hope for the writers to keep up with the great character development and for Dean and Cas to finally get together as a romantic couple : )
ReplyDeleteOkay, then. I don't watch the show anymore so I'm not invested one way or the other, it's just... I'm doubting it.
ReplyDeletehave someone here watched the tv shows dirty sexy money or life(nbc) and if yes what did you think about them? i am soon going to buy the complete series of them both i have never seen them before but i am still going to buy them on dvd and wonder how these tv shows is like
ReplyDeleteThis Casgirl won't deny she would love to see Dean and Cas as a romantic couple, but that doesn't make the number one wish I have for Cas and for Supernatural in the New Year -- which is is to make this team work as a team. That means Sam and Dean, it means Dean and Cas, it means all three of them on the same page, working together because they want to and because they're stronger that way. It means working through their differences of opinion, through their personal weaknesses. Addressing Sam's desire to put it behind him and the truly traumatic loss he felt when he thought Dean was gone. Not forgetting that Dean still needs to re-learn how to be human after a year in Purgatory. And not pulling back from that huge bombshell that Cas is suicidal, addressing it, and seeing the three of them, no longer Team Free Will in name only, but a real team, really fighting for free will again -- no longer just against an apocalyptic destiny but against all the forces out there that think they can manipulate these men like they're pawns on someone else's chessboard.
ReplyDelete(And maybe, just maybe, seeing them remember that there's a sheriff in Sioux Falls who might be able to help.)
Dean and Castiel to finally become a couple. Long overdue to be honest.
ReplyDeleteSUPERNATURAL. Dean and Cas has to become a couple :c pleaase. we're dying.
ReplyDeleteI just want Dean and Castiel to become canon :)
ReplyDeleteThis, totally. <3333
ReplyDeleteI want Team Free Will to fight evil together. Sam and Dean need to deal with their shit. Preferably with hugs. Also Dean and Cas need to deal with their shit. Preferably with tongues. :D
ReplyDeleteI agree with wish about POI and GA (I hope no one dies this season). I wish great year for Revolution like Darth Locke and Pascal say the show after the episode six grow every single episode and the mid finale was the best episode yet.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: More Team Free Will. I don't think I've seen Dean happier than in 8x08.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones: Just follow the book for the next two seasons and it will be perfect.
just make our precious Destiel canon plzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteThen it is a problem of the storytelling and the nature of the show, I mean the mytharc-filler-filler-filler-mytharc form that sometimes harm the show more than benefit it. Because Castiel episode is never a filler one even in 8 x 08 that was promoted as a cartoon ep. Anyway, his character is so different from the confident, power-radiating one in S4, I hardly know how to predict his future anymore. I don't know if they are going to defuse him, or power him up, or just kill him.
ReplyDeleteSPN without Castiel, for me, is like a bed without a blanket. I could sleep in, but I don't want to.
Supernatural: For Cas to be accepted onto Team Free Will, and not just an awkward plot device.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural- I think it would be wonderful to keep seeing more of Castiel, I think he deserves to be a member of Team Free Will for the rest of the show instead of being considered as a "guest star". He also could stay specifically with Dean. As a couple. That's a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the relationship is the hidden core of S6, and the very main core of Dean's character in S7. I think it's pretty logical
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - FOR DESTIEL TO BECOME CANON
ReplyDeleteFor Dean and Cas to finally admit that they're in love with each other.
Dexter - season 7 was a major improvement for me. Please keep this up and focus on the main plot. I don't care about who's banging who (I'm looking at you, Quinn). I care about plots that actually matter. This is supposedly their last season - come on!!
ReplyDeleteBreaking Bad - I have nothing to say here as I have faith that this year will bring awesome things for this show.
Supernatural - this season has been great thus far; so I have a lot of faith on this one too (3 season mytharc-- you can do it!!). I think it goes without saying that the brothers will resolve their issues (DUH). I agree with another's comment on here with the show finally deciding whether Castiel is an integral part of the show and if so, to allow Misha Collins to be a regular again. This season has definitely proven that they can balance the characters of Dean, Sam & Cas beautifully. And with that said, I would also like to see some kind of irrefutable canon for Destiel. Give me something, damn it!
The Walking Dead - Don't kill off Michionne (this also doubles as "don't turn her character into an idiot"). This season's been pretty good thus far!
Sherlock - Agree with other comments here - AIR S3 ALREADY PLS
You didn't. Dean and Castiel will never be a couple. It's just a select part of the Supernatural fandom has stormed this thread. They are very vocal but it doesn't change what is canon on the show.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: Sam and Dean working out their problems is great and all, but we can't forget Castiel! Here's to Castiel staying on the show, because he's such an important part of team free will, and it'd be great if he and Dean finally became a couple, because it's totally all there already, but unspoken.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Wongvhan that a Supernatural without Castiel would feel...off to me. I love the brothers, of course, and Dean is my favorite character in the show, but Cas has become such an integral part of it that it would feel like a piece was missing without him. I sincerely hope they don't end up killing him off, because he still has so much potential storyline-wise and I won't pretend like I wouldn't be devastated.
ReplyDeleteMy hope is for true love to prevail and show me that just because people don't want you to be you can, let Dean and Cas become canon and my year will be complete or at least for Misha to be a regular.
ReplyDeleteAH GAME OF THRONES, HOW COULD I FORGET THIS!!! Agree with this completely.
ReplyDeleteDean and Castiel deserve a relationship, a romantic non platonic one. All of your fans want it, we've been wtaching this show our whole lives and we dedicate oru time and emotions too it. This is all we ask. thank you
ReplyDeleteFor Supernatural - More Castiel, Misha Collins acting is just wonderful, I really want to see Castiel like a main character with Sam and Dean, it makes the show better. And keep going the good work with season 8.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't even watch SPN without Castiel ;)
ReplyDeleteBut then, I know for a fact that I am not the only fan who has issues with the repeated fan-baiting and the fact the showrunner doesn't seem to have decided yet whether he wants Cas to be an integral part of Supernatural or not. It wouldn't be that bad if season 7 hadn't established a rather tense atmosphere around Castiel's fate and the question whether or not he's going to come back, and whether or not we're going to see more of him than a brief glimpse during a flashback. And, to be honest, I am tired of that. So either they give him a place on the show, or they don't. If they don't, I'm not saying I'll be happy about it, but at least I can move on.
For Supernatural, I'd like for Dean and Castiel to finally get together.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Gabriel only appeared in a handful episodes, yet receives so much love from the fans speak in itself.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - it's unlikely they'll ever get Dean and Cas together, but I can't help but have a sliver of hope that they will, and that they won't just reduce the relationship to fan service but will give it the development it deserves. I'd love to see Sam and Dean start to regain the trust they had in earlier seasons and start to support each other instead of dragging each other down. Also, bring Meg and Anna back! Hahaha oh man I am overoptimistic.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who - I'm excited about Clara and I hope the show will get back to fun, occasionally touching episodes without taking itself too seriously or introducing absurdly over-complicated plotlines. Would love it if they brought some previous Doctors and other characters back for the 50th anniversary (DONNA!!!!)
Teen Wolf - I would be overjoyed if they followed through on the hints of Stiles being bisexual. I want Allison to get a redemption arc which properly deals with the consequences of what she did at the end of S2, and for Lydia to catch a break already, oh my god, please can that girl have a few weeks where nothing horrible and traumatizing happens to her and then can she grind Peter into the dust. And for Papa Stilinski to find out already! I really want this show to go on for at least five more seasons and see everyone grow up.
Supernatural
ReplyDeleteCas and Dean => Romantic, "That trenchcoat comes off when I say it does, Cas", Couple. But do it to fit the tone of the show. One of them probably has to die or Sam has to die or someone gets paralyzed or loses their soul or goes to Hell and comes back with PTSD or betrays the other by working with the pansexual King of Demons or sucks in the Souls in Purgatory or gets stuck in Purgatory and refuses to come out. Well, honestly, I was writing something hypothetical at first but then I thought this is Supernatural so everything bad that could happen probably has happened already. However, every Supernatural fan knows better than to ask for a happy ending, because that seems to not exist. Part of me wants Cas and Dean to get together and part of me wants Cas and Dean to survive.
Community
What's with me and shows that somehow make you feel as though the universe isn't fair? Community is one-of-a-kind television that gets shafted again and again. I keep praying they turn things towards Jeff/Britta again, but Jeff/Annie is popular so probably not. (if I took a personality evaluation, I would probably be a mix of Abed and Britta, so I like them the most) I think Britta/Troy is forced, and I can't really get behind that couple. My OTP for Britta is Britta/Subway. There, I said it. Sorry Britta, I'm a corporate sell-out but you're a corporate sex-out. Also Abed needs a girlfriend or boyfriend or a Troyfriend if you ship that but I'm not so inclined.
Dean and Castiel should become a couple. All other opinions are invalid. Finita La Comedia.
ReplyDeleteyou do relaise the Misha collins and Jensen Ackles mock their fans for the whole Destiel thing right? They literally take the piss out of them to their faces.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am Destiel girl all the way, then main thing I'd like to see in 2013 for Supernatural is Cas being involved more, And for them to start working together again. I just want Team Free Will back. Please
ReplyDeleteSupernatural- I would really like if Sam were to be happy for once, you know actually happy. And for Dean and Castiel to get together and become a couple. They have been through so much since season 4 and I think that they are perfect for each other and have an amazing relationship. They both deserve to be happy and they make each other happy, it's obvious. And Sam and Castiel to interact more as friends, I feel like they haven't had a chance to form a stronger friendship and I would like to see that more. But I really love where the story is going. It keeps me in suspense and I'm both terrified and excited to see whats next.
ReplyDeleteFor dean and castiel to finally admit their feelings and be together.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's true. I think Jeremy Carver is a much bigger Cas fan than Sera Gamble is though, so I have much more hope for him in S8 than I did in S7.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: for Sam and Dean to continue their growth as individuals; for Misha Collins to become a regular member of the cast again; and for Dean and Cas' relationship to become an openly romantic one. It's time to defy the gay stereotypes, TV networks.
ReplyDeleteTV networks: No more reality TV shows. Just...stop, please. At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
Exactly. Castiel is a part of the family, and I want the writers to always keep that in mind.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: Dean + Cas = Destiel = Needs to be canon. Other than that, the show is amazing. I started watching in Season 3 and fell in love with the boys. :)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - I want Dean and Cas to finally admit their feelings for each other and be together romantically, it's long overdue!
ReplyDeleteFor Dean and Cas to take the next step, it's been long overdue. They're so sweet together, the most romantic story on TV at the moment. They both deserve all the love they can get. Also, stop breaking up Team Free Will, I want Sam and Dean to resolve their differences and Cas to have more screen time with them.
ReplyDeleteSherlock: I am so excited for it to exist. I trust the writers! I'm sure series 3 will be amazing.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who: I can't wait to find out more about Clara. I think this is going to be a fantastic story arc.
Supernatural: So far this season has been really impressive; I'm really pleased with where the writers are taking the show and I can't wait to see more. I am also keeping my fingers crossed for more Castiel! I adore Sam and Dean, but Cas really adds something unique to the show. It'd be great for Dean and Cas to get together; their chemistry phenomenal and I hope the writers pursue it.
"mytharc for dean" PLEASE!!
ReplyDeleteI want Castiel to appear on the show regularly and Dean and Castiel should get together already. Purgatory needs more screen time, and Dean's problems are so overlooked, I can't even. So yes, Dean's PTSD and alcoholism should be discussed at least. Sam's had so many relationships and all of them ended badly, and I can't understand how he doesn't have relationship issues.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: I want to see Misha Collins as a regular character and to see Cas and Dean get together as a romantic couple. I want to see Sam and Dean resolve their issues, but not giving up a healthy development of the characters as individuals.
ReplyDeleteDean and Cas's relationship is building up for so long now, it's about time 2013 was the memorable year that made them the undebatable canon. Such outstanding characters' plotlines and how they entwine and complete each other, the chemistry - that can't go to waste. Come on, their story is the gilgamesh level of epic story.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that sounds awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - Dean and Cas getting together, of course. And more Sam.
ReplyDeleteOUAT - Mulan and Aurora getting together. And more Ruby.
That's it, that's what I want. So please. PLEASE.
Supernatural: I want Dean and Castiel to finally be together romantically (enough hinting already!) and for Team Free Will to hunt together again. I'd also like it if some of the minor characters like Kevin, Charlie, Benny, and Samandriel could actually survive this season.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about season 8 is that Dean and Cas are finally so open and willing to talk about their problems and it really makes for good storytelling and character development. Season 8 is particularly good at developing their characters and it's fascinating to watch their trust and deep affection for each other. It's only natural that it goes in a romantic direction, since everybody and their grandmother likes to point that out. I love them and they make me feel. Not to mention that Dean is also showing physical affection and interest in Cas. Bless Jeremy Carver. I hope we get a good myth arc for Dean, the brothers finally growing up and forming healthy relationships and Dean/Cas becoming a romantic on screen romance without stereotypes getting in the way.
ReplyDeleteActually, maybe you should pay more attention, because Misha's in complete support of it. Some direct quotes from him: "Cas should only have eyes for Dean" and "It may be unspoken, but that doesn't mean it's not there." There are people on the writing team in support of it too, like Ben Edlund. There's nothing wrong with the prospect of Destiel going canon, or with people voicing their want for it.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely love to see a progression between Sam and Dean's relationship, and although I like how it's become a bit strained I would enjoy to see them pulling together and working as they used to near the end. Dean should meet Amelia, she needs to feel a bit more concrete to me.
ReplyDeleteThe one most important thing I would wish to see is Cas being treated in a more higher regard, and for him and Sam to become closer friends; there still seems to be some tension around the two of them.
Dean and Cas should admit their feelings for each other, it's been four years, it's about time.
I agree completely! It would at a lot more depth to the show.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it doesn't become more prominent until around Season 6, at least in my opinion. It's so obvious in Season 8, though, that it's not even funny. I don't think the writers are even trying to hide anything anymore.
ReplyDeleteCommunity: Just renew, please!
ReplyDeleteRevolution: I want Charlie and Danny to die. More Miles, Monroe, Nora and Aaron please!
Supernatural: Whatever they are doing for Season 8, please continue! Also, bigger roles for Cas (make him a regular and keep up the Dean-Cas bond) and Benny.
lol irl at the comments of this post...I guess tumblr is spamming here?
ReplyDeleteAmen. :)
ReplyDelete-Supernatural-
ReplyDeleteDean and Castiel need to make it official. It's canon fact that they love each other deeply, profoundly... and it DOESN'T come off as being "brotherly" or platonic. C'mon... Dean with the trenchcoat coat for a year? "Since the moment Castiel laid a hand on you in hell he was lost?" It's not just the sexual innuendos anymore... it's ROMANTIC crap like this.
It's clear they love each other so why can't they show them hold each other- would it be so bad to show them clinging to each other physically they way they do emotionally? The majority of the viewing audience isn't homophobic, in fact you'd probably gain some viewers/publicity.
No other relationship the writers try to create for these two could ever hold a candle to the dynamic Dean and Castiel have, what they mean to each other. It doesn't have to be the "Dean and Cas show" Nothing really needs to change... Just let Dean have this small comfort and have something nice for once, and give Cas a break too. Let them be together. They deserve it.
I didn't want to comment on this at first, but then decided to do so anyway because I feel your criticism is not entirely justified. I agree that Dean/Cas-shippers are only one part of the fandom, and it is also true that they're vocal. Nevertheless, most Dean/Cas shippers do not believe the pairing as such is canon. What is canon - and I say this as someone who's primarily a fan of Castiel - is the bond between Dean and Castiel. Seeing there's hardly any non-cliché representation of same sex couples in mainstream media, I'd say the wish for more genuinely romantic m/m (or f/f) couples who don't match stereotypes is completely understandable. Furthermore, I get why people think this could work with Dean and Cas. They already have an established relationship that has been built up over several seasons; and what is more, the nature of this relationship is still somewhat undefined. What Dean and Cas have is clearly different from the brotherly bond Sam and Dean share, but it's also different from the "foxhole-relationship" (or friendship) Dean and Benny developed in Purgatory and after. Yet it *is* canon that Dean and Cas would die for each other, and are capable of hurting each other deeply. Granted, their relationship is not outspokenly romantic (yet), but it could be. The potential is there in canon, and I feel it's unfair to deny that, whether or not you believe they'll actually become a couple (I doubt that, too, but I don't think it's an irrational or delusional wish).
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - I would like Jeremy Carver to remember that he started this season as a quest and that as a writer he seemed to know exactly who Dean and Sam were. He needs to end this pointless brother rift now, start the quest, and put the focus on the brothers instead of secondary characters. I would also like them to close the gates of heaven this season, the gates to hell next season, and the gates to Purgatory in season 10.
ReplyDeleteLeverage - My only wish is for them to uncancel this show so I can see more of Hardison, Eliot, and Parker.
Burn Notice - Keep the next season as awesome as this one was. This was the best season of Burn Notice yet so let's keep the pace and character relationships going forward. No more sarcastically brilliant bad guys and no more being manipulated by XYZ nefarious secret organization. Let the characters drive the plot.
White Collar - Get Neal and Peter back on the same page. Let us see more about Neal's past. Put Mozzie and Elizabeth together a lot more. Focus on the family aspects and not miscellaneous romances for Neal.
Revolution - For the love of good shows, kill off the entire Matheson family. It would improve the show tremendously. If not then at least back burner them. Add in secondary characters that are interesting and make them the leads. Deal more with the mystery and less with every character emoangsting all over. Also the best thing going right now is Julia Neville's Lady Macbeth tendencies. Let that blossom into a full story with Monroe having to worry about all sides.
Grimm - End the Juliette amnesia story NOW. It's dragging the pace of the show down and adds absolutely nothing to the story. Move the royal family plot line forward more quickly and by all means.....MORE MONROE!
Community - um....begin. I miss this show. Come on NBC!
Arrow and Go On - Keep doing what you are doing. You are the best new shows of the season to me.
It definitely got picked up and pushed somewhere. Tumblr is a great guess since that's where I see a majority of comments like these. There seems to be an agenda on this thread today.
ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries: More Damon/Elena! For the sire bond to turn out to be fake. For Caroline to realize what a hypocrite she's being when she disses Damon but has sympathy for Klaus and Stefan. For Stefan to realize that he can only pick one: either he can believe Elena's choices are affected by the sire bond or he can be pissed off at her for falling in love with Damon. You can't have both, Stefan! If she's under a sire bond, it's not her fault and you don't get to yell at her for it.
ReplyDeleteRevenge: Keep being awesome. I don't even try to predict this show; I just bask. Nolan is the light of my life.
Supernatural: I'd love for Cas to become a regular again (and get used more frequently than the last time he was one!). I'd like for Dean and Sam to be able to keep the support systems they've been hesitantly rebuilding. It would also be great if the build-up of romantic tension between Dean and Cas could begin to be resolved -- potentially with a kiss?
Once Upon a Time: I'd like Aurora and Mulan to fall in love. Come on, show, don't limit potential happy endings just for straight characters/people!
Supernatural - I want Dean and Castiel together. In a romantic relationship. This is my one really really big wish. Other than that, if season 8 continues to be as amazing as it's been so for, that would be perfect.
ReplyDeletei want dean and cas to admit they love each other. it's beyond obvious they do.
ReplyDeleteYou also have an agenda. So you're essentially saying your agenda is allowed but other fans' agenda isn't?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I found the post on tumblr directing people here, lol. :P
ReplyDeleteIt would be such an incredible thing in tv history if dean and cas actually got together. I mean really! It would such a wonderful and monumental thing. It doesn't have to be over the top or anything, not ooc, but if they really acknowledged it and gave the fans what we want.... spn would go down in history as one of the bravest shows on TV. Come on Carter, do it for us!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly seems so but spamming the thread isnt the answer. Fantasy's are fine we all have them but it will not be canon on the show nor should it .
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: some resurrection for Gabriel. C'mon, he's awesome!
ReplyDeleteAlso for Dean and Castiel to finally get together. The UST is killing us!)))
Sherlock: season 3 sometime this century please.
I agree. It would be its own revolution in the media. Supernatural is a great show and I hope they'll take that one last step here, too.
ReplyDeletefor SUPERNATURAL- we need Destiel to be a canon, so please make Dean and Cas a sweet couple. and more Misha!
ReplyDeleteand SEASON 3 FOR SHERLOCK, that's all I want.
ReplyDeletebe aware this is an unrelated question:
ReplyDeletehave someone here watched the tv shows dirty sexy money or life(nbc) and
if yes what did you think about them? i am soon going to buy the
complete series of them both i have never seen them before but i am
still going to buy them on dvd and wonder how these tv shows is like
Thirding it! Dean/Castiel, Cas as an equal member of the team, and I'd like for Sam to get something nice, too -- a permanent love interest would be great (as long as she's a good character in her own right, and not just The Love Interest). Sam deserves happiness just as much as Dean and Cas!
ReplyDeleteIt would be painfully obvious if Dean were a woman. 'She' would have an angel that rebelled against heaven for her. Threw his live away. Killed his own brothers. And gave up his life so that she could be safe. The same goes if Castiel were a woman.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, yes, please!!! I agree: Dean and Castiel have been through so much together, and their relationship have been changing and im hopeful it´ll be stronger and better than ever in season 8. After what i´ve read, i want to add this is my wish you for the new year.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural- Destiel! Cas and Dean together, it would be a dream come true! I also second the Gabriel Resurrection comment. He may have not been in that many episodes, but his death dinfitely got to me. Just imagine what he'd do if he came back!
ReplyDeleteLife was good, but i believe it lasted only two seasons.Netflix has Life,on their streaming service, its cheaper than buying it.I didn't watch the other show.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: For Amelia, Mrs Tran and Naomi to not be written off too soon.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: This is one of my favorite shows, but seriously. Can Dean and Castiel just kiss already and get it over with???
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: I want Misha Collins as a regular and not only a guest star, and I want them to do things with other characters and let Cas take a break. I want Team Free Will together and, above all this, I want Dean and Cas to take the next step in their "more than friends but less than romantic pair" relationship.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying that all Destiel shippers think that it is canon but there are quite a few that vocally say that it is when it is clearly not. I agree that Dean and Castiel have a complicated friendship. Since there are not too many friendships on Supernatural (or characters that last long enough for anyone to actually have a friendship with) that does make their relationship special. It doesn't make it sexual or romantic and I highly doubt it will ever be. For one, Dean has been heterosexual throughout the show's whole history so it would make no sense to me for the writers to suddenly decide to change that. Two, the show has never been about romance and that should stay. One of the best things about SPN is that it killed off the potential love triangle in the pilot and has rarely looked back from that. I think a far more interesting story line would be to have Sam and Castiel become friends too. If Cas is going to be a part of the show still then they need to establish some kind of bond (again friend bond) with Sam too.
ReplyDeleteI understand your frustration with a lack of good m/m and f/f pairings on TV. However I don't understand why people always want to change established characters to make that happen. Add in new characters. Create new shows to fill the need. To change characters midseries from established canon makes no sense to me. It just makes everything out-of-character in a huge retcon and screams of fan service. This is what bugs me about fan fic and shipping in general. People take established characters and then change them to be practically unrecognizable in many cases (relationships that don't exist, genderbending, age reversal, etc.). I'm good with fan fic staying in its own realm but I have a real problem with fanfic coming into a show's canon to please a certain section of the fandom. That is what Destiel shippers seem to be trying to do. I think Destiel is largely in the eye of the beholder and people see what they want to see just like every other non-canon ship out there on any show. I don't see Destiel as ever being canon and quite frankly this mass of pro-Destiel comments coming so quickly on this thread feels more like an orchestrated campaign than actual SpoilerTV fans expressing their TV wishes. It feels like a spam bomb instead of genuine conversation.
I really think that by Dean and Cas going canon, they could even swing the focus back to Sam or the main mytharc because it means that ONE HUGE ELEPHANT in the room is dealt with. (Then they can have Dean and Castiel being hunted by the Garrison later)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you wholeheartedly. Nothing about them is sexual innuendo. It is straightforward romantic.
Supernatural - For Dean and Cas to finally be together! It's about time, how much longer are the writers going to prolong it? And to stop killing off members of Team Free Will each season.
ReplyDeletethanks i live in Norway here it is cheaper to buy it on dvd but thanks anyway:)
ReplyDeleteWe had 11 people contribute to this and only 2 brought up Supernatural, how did this turn into an SPN post????
ReplyDeleteNo, Misha had a serious conversation with fans in a meet&greet and told them point blank that the writers write Dean/Cas with the romantic aspect in mind and that they are in love with each other. And he and Jensen are aware of it.
ReplyDeleteTumblr
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: for Dean and Cas to finally become a couple and for Sam to be happy. Also, it'd be nice if Amelia could stay :)
ReplyDeleteMy only reply to this is: Sexuality is fluid. There is no such thing as a character being established as heterosexual and therefore being forced to stay that way in the narrative. And it's a genuine conversation since a lot fans also expressed different aspects that they like about the show and want to see developed (Purgatory, angels, Adam, Sam etc) And no fanfic is coming into the shows's canon, since canon establishes the way people interpret interactions. People don't concoct Dean/Cas in their brains. It always has a source and the show itself is the text from which people infer information.
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE if Amelia could stay and got to be part of the hunter's world. Sam deserves happiness, too!
ReplyDeleteThe majority of people who are posting here about Destiel have not been on SpoilerTV before or very rarely. That is why it feels like an agenda is being pushed instead of actual conversation. Apparently it is a Tumblr campaign. If people become members of the SpoilerTV community and post regularly it will feel less like high jacking the thread to me.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy Amelia, too. (I was surprised by how much. She reminds me of a friend I know in real life, that I had a crush on for like a year. I just want the best for her and Sam.) Also Naomi is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOUAT: I agree that we're getting a bit overwhelmed by the number of characters, but I actually like hearing about most of them... although it can be difficult to remember where each of their plot-lines have gone.
ReplyDeleteBBT: Poor Raj. In some respects, I am very glad the writers are being open about possible relationships for him, but I also hope they remain true to his character. He's been slightly off most of the season and I hope they bring back more of the old Raj.
HIMYM: I agree with the consensus; I'm getting really anxious to finally meet the mother.
I also agree with Justyna Kubica on the BBC/characters-in-general comment. Argh! The pain!
Supernatural: For the brothers to stop arguing and for Cas to be on the show more often and no more killing him. It's enough we lost Bobby. Would be great to get more Sam and Cas scenes, their friendship hasn't been explored much compared to Dean and Cas's FRIENDSHIP.
ReplyDeleteIf slash becomes real I am going to wipe this show from my memory because that's really writing just for the fans. I think some people are being sarcastic though? I mean I cannot be surrounded by Destiel fans here. *faints*
I go on another website with a dozen fans and none of us believe in any slash except the ghostfacer guy that died and the 2 guys who dressed as Sam and Dean in "The Real Ghostbusters". :)
Nikita: All I want is a good ending, all the stories wrapped. Doesn't matter at this point, when it ends. This show deserves a good ending. If it has that, I'll be happy.
because Supernatural has a large and active fandom
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: I'd like to have more episodes with Castiel and for his story not to be told offscreen like the war in heaven, his search for God, him being alone in Purgatory etc., but onscreen for once. I hope Castiel's depression gets dealt with and for it not to be brushed under the rug. Same for Dean's issues. I'd like to see more of him and Dean together, working together and being a team. I'd also like to see more of Cas and Sam and for their friendship to be developed and shown more. I'd like to see more of Team Free Will aka Sam, Cas and Dean together. I'd like to see more of Castiel, period. I also hope for a satisfying conclusion to the Sam and Amelia storyline. While I doubt their relationship is going to work out, I want at least Amelia to be still alive at the end of the season and maybe to let open the option for her and Sam to have another shot at a relationship at the end of the show.
ReplyDeleteI liked Sera Gamble for her emotional writing. There were issues with the bigger myth arcs, but she was good at single episode. Carver is fantastic at character development.
ReplyDeleteI liked Dirty Sexy Money and was disappointed it got cancelled. It started really strong but got a little too nightime-soapy for my taste at the end. And the last episode - when they tried to wrap up about two years worth of plot development into one night because they had gotten cancelled - was a little silly.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Amelia could definitely handle it! Introduce her to the supernatural, let someone decide to stay with Sam, not make him choose between two worlds, for a change!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that was proven to be false, and fans misinterpreted what he said.
ReplyDeletethanks:)
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting until they air on TV, actually. I know they've leaked, but I'm not giving in and watching them.
ReplyDeleteNope :) I vouch for Lurea and Starminion.
ReplyDeleteNo, there were several accounts from the Meet and Greet, all of which affirmed that Misha was serious when he said that he believes the writers are as well aware of that relationship dynamic as he and Jensen are. He literally said he thought it was obvious after Purgatory that Dean was in love with Castiel. :) It's an encouraging thought, that at least one of the two actors is in support of that romance.
ReplyDeleteBecause SPN online fandom is fierce :)
ReplyDeleteDean's emotional journey in S7 makes absolutely no sense except in the context of Dean and Castiel's relationship. :) It's been obvious for some time. Hurray!
ReplyDeleteOr perhaps a lot of posters who are fans of Supernatural and Dean/Cas do lurk here, but are put off from regular posting by SpoilerTV's and your own relentless "Destiel" hate and pushing of the Dean/Sam agenda? You do post a whole lot of anti Destiel-fan stuff - this thread is an example too. That is not an "actual" conversation either!
ReplyDeleteDahne, I'd really love to have this conversation with you on the podcast sometime! I know we haven't really talked directly, but I think there's a real discussion to be had here about what is fan service, what it means to have fans interact with the text, and whether there is room in today's media for a real, creative give-and-take between creators and viewers. What do you say?
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - For Dean and Castiel to get it together and freakin' admit how much they LOVE EACH OTHER. AND THEN KISS. PLEASE, JUST KISS ALREADY, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: Dean and Cas just need to shag already.
ReplyDeleteYes,that i am well aware of,lol!!!..... ;)
ReplyDeleteThis!
ReplyDeleteI think people always see what they want to see. Wincest was not canon and people were seeing it all over the place. Dean and Ellen were not canon but people started shipping that like crazy in season 2. Shipping happens whether there is an established base for it or not. In fact it seems like every character in every TV show has been paired with every other character in someone's shipper fantasy. You cannot tell me that all shipping has basis in the actual context of all shows. People interpret things to fit their own desires. As far as sexuality being fluid, I disagree. In real life it seems like people's sexuality is pretty much set. That seems more like a Hollywood notion to me or at least it is not what I have experienced with the people in my life. The homosexuals I know tended to know they were gay pretty early. Same with the heterosexuals.
ReplyDeleteYou say that like it's a bad thing. People from various places and sites are coming together to express their love and opinion on something they love. That's the purpose of the comment section. You may see us as a campaign to spam the article. But all we're contributing is our new year resolution for 2013 SPN.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, Dahne, I am so freaked out right now with all the sudden Destiel fans here. Yeah, it sounds sarcastic.
ReplyDeletewoah! Supernatural is a really beloved show.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: It would be awesome if Dean's and Cas' relationship got treated more seriously, I'm sure they got even closer to each other in Purgatory and everything around them is just screaming how much they are meant to be.
ReplyDeleteOh lord,i just read the comments below, seems people are being directed here.Well, have fun, seems like the old days, before Castle became the IT show of the year, lol!!! :O ..... ;)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural is not supposed to be a romantic show. I thought that was a part of the appeal of the show. That it was more about family and friendship.
ReplyDeleteWhen you invite input, you're going to get it. It may not be what you expect, but that's the beauty of the Internet. It's okay if you don't agree, but you don't get to dictate how many people are allowed to comment in an open forum on things that matter to them. When people who care about something see an opportunity to express themselves, they're going to take it.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you are feeling inundated and marginalized by the fact that so many people are expressing an opinion you disagree with, and you feel the need to make your dissenting opinion known, then I guess you now understand why we are speaking out, too.
I would love to discuss it with you but I'm not sure that is a podcast topic unless it was deep in the heart of summer hellatus. We have a lot of topics we still need to cover, podcasts that are made but not posted yet, and there will be new episodes to cover.
ReplyDeleteFringe: for a marvelous ending that makes justice for this fantastic tv show. If it isn’t too much to ask, for Peter and Olivia to have an almost happy ending too.
ReplyDeleteThe Walking Dead: I hope season four will be just as good as season three. And I want my favorite characters to stay alive.
I second your wishes for The Vampire Diaries and Once Upon a Time. I hope OUaT stop a little introducing more and more and characters and instead develop backstories of the ones the show already has.
Sherlock: SEASON THREE PRETTY PLEASE. IT’S ALL THAT I AM ASKING.
Supernatural: I want so bad for Cas to have some stability on the show. It seemed we’ve got it finally, but there’s spoilers he won’t be in several episodes after 8x10. Besides, with 8x10 it’ll be already five of the eight episodes promised with Misha in season GR8. D:
Dean and Cas becoming canon would be nice.
P.S. I don’t wish for the boys to resolve their problems because I know they’ll anyway. What I do hope is that this time their grown up and Dean learns to accept that Sam never wanted to be a hunter, and Sam stop running from his past (as in ignoring Kevin’s call, don’t having any protection against the supernatural in his and Amelia’s house, etc.) and tell Amelia the truth, please.
That's all :D
Supernatural: Even if not an explicitly romantic couple, Dean and Cas need to be upfront and honest about how much they mean to each other. Also, stop making Castiel nothing but a toy to play with the fate of in order to ensure viewers. SPN needs a genderbend episode and/or one where the Impala becomes human.
ReplyDeleteI want Dean and Castiel as a couple!!! DESTIEL ALL THE WAY!!
ReplyDeleteThat's where all the slash fans are coming from? Tumblr and fanfiction.net is very slashy.
ReplyDeleteWe don't often agree on certain subjects, but today we agree 100%.
ReplyDeletePARENTHOOD: for NBC to renew it for a FULL, 22ish episode season! Seriously. That show is too damn good to have as short seasons as it does.
ReplyDeleteCASTLE: everything that the staff said PLUS for Kate to tell Rick that she loves him (even if she's already said it off-screen, the fans deserve to hear it)
HIMYM: I'm kinda on the fence. I've seen commenters on the web say one of two things: that we meet the mother in the season 8 finale and get to know her in season 9 or that we meet her in the series finale. Honestly, I'm OK either way.
BBT: HELL YES to what Tasha said! I always feel so bad for Raj. He deserves to be happy.
THE OFFICE: for Michael Scott to show up at least once before the series finale. Even if it really is just the series finale.
The reason why I was excited about the pilot of Supernatural was because they killed Jess. It was then that I knew it wasn't going to be your typical show where it's all about hook-ups and emoangsty relationships. For the most part, the show has stuck to this to its credit. I agree that this is a strong appeal of the show. There are plenty of shows on TV for people to get their relationship fix on. They should leave SPN alone in its uniqueness. I also agree about people who ship tending to ship everything. The One True Pair thing is quite the misnomer because people seem to have about 30 of them, at least one per show. Shipping has gotten out of control, in my opinion, throughout the entire scope of TV fandom.
ReplyDeleteAnd one of the reasons I've been so excited to join your podcast is because if there is more representation of differing viewpoints on SpoilerTV posts and less open marginalization of those who feel differently from you about Castiel's role on the show, it will bring in a larger and more faithful audience to the site, instead of Castiel fans feeling we need to "storm the castle" just to make our voices heard. If SpoilerTV welcomes input instead of its mods claiming it is all spam and therefore illegitimate, then it will be a better environment where everyone feels welcome. If Castiel lovers and Dean/Cas shippers aren't welcome, say so.... But don't let us comment and then complain that we do. Isn't there room for all of us?
ReplyDeleteThat isn't what people are asking for. Romance is a minor part on the show and always will be, which i like. I still want Dean, Cas and Sam to hunt things, but asking for happiness for two characters isn't far fetched. I think most Dean/Cas supporters agree with me on that, since having two characters in a relationship doesn't automatically mean we will actually see that part on the show. People ask for confirmation and validity of their interpretation, but asking for romcom is on no ones mind. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat points here;)
ReplyDeleteForgot Grimm when I made my list. Yes! I agree with your points.
ReplyDeletePft. What's "canon on the show" is 1) "I did it, all of it, for you." 2) "I'd rather have you, cursed or not." 3) "Cas, buddy, I need you." 4) "Don't ever change." 5) "You are like a brother to me. I've lost Lisa, I've lost Ben, and now I've lost Sam -- don't make me lose you too." 6) "Are you coming?" "Of course." 7) "I prayed to you Cas, every night! 8) "Too much heart was always Castiel's problem." 9) "I think you have me confused with the other angel, you know, the one in the dirty trenchcoat who's in love with you?" 10) "He was your boyfriend first." 11) "It's too dangerous." "Let me bottom-line it for you. I'm not leaving here without you. Understand?" "I understand."
ReplyDeleteHow about, what's canon is Castiel, dying, time and time again for Dean and his cause? How about, what's canon is Dean hauled a dirty trenchcoat from stolen car to stolen car across the country, in the hope that Castiel would somehow find his way back to them, because Dean "never stopped wanting to fix it" (7.17 original script). Because "A part of me always believed you'd come back" (7.17 promo). How about, Castiel wanting nothing more than peace and pacifism after all his sins and suffering in 7.21, only to jump in front of Dean to fight Dick Roman the instant he makes a threatening advance against the hunter? How about, Castiel willing to face an eternity of loneliness running from the leviathans in Purgatory, just to keep Dean safe?
What's canon is the love between these two men. Whether you interpret it as platonic or romantic is your own business. But don't insinuate that those of us who want their love openly expressed in a romantic way on the show are delusional. Because the canon is there. We're just following it to its logical conclusion.
Supernatural: Dean and Cas. Together. C'mon, you know I'm not the only one!
ReplyDelete"'She' would have an angel that rebelled against heaven for her. Threw his live away. Killed his own brothers. And gave up his life so that she could be safe."
ReplyDeleteDoesn't this really diminish Cas's character to suggest that he did all of this because of sexual attraction and not because of his moral convictions, conscience, and need for redemption?
People coming naturally to express their opinion is a good thing. This however feels like an all-out siege. You can of course post your opinions. I just wish it felt more natural and organic.
ReplyDeleteTHIS.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see Gabriel back on Supernatural - he's a really great character, and the only one of the archangels whose characterisation I was ever all that fond of. Besides, considering the amount of times Cas has been brought back, it doesn't really make all that much sense for Gabriel to stay dead after he finally got around to really trying to do the right thing...
ReplyDeleteHaha, Sorry. It looks like Supernatral kind of takes over a lot of the places it goes.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, what I really want is some serious conversing between Sam and Castiel. Because they never talk, but the two sassiest creatures in the universe obviously need to work a job and talk about what a blockhead Dean can be together.
Dean and Cas have a special friendship that has become brotherly in nature. They are family in both of their words. Bobby was family too. Although I would say that the earlier seasons were more about Cas taking a stand against something he felt instinctively was wrong (the way the angels were dealing with the seals and Apocalypse) than anything to do with Dean personally. It was through Cas' own disbelief and choice to rebel that he became brothers with Dean not in my opinion the other way around.
ReplyDeleteI thought the point of this article was to encourage fans to express their wishes for future show canons? So that's what fans of Supernatural are doing. It's completely fair. :)
ReplyDeleteDismissing the comments here as a "Tumblr campaign" and as "hijacking" this thread is hardly likely to encourage Casfans to post here regularly. This site already has a reputation for being dismissive and contemptuous of the character and his fans, and you aren't exactly helping that reputation. Can I assume that when those fans who regularly hate on Cas/Casfans on here start tweeting this thread to rally the troops you will be similarly conscientious in chastising them for their campaigning?
ReplyDeleteSupernatural: First and foremost I want Misha Collins to be a regular again and Cas to have a stable place in the show and a good storyline. Secondly, I want Team Free Will to work together and be that weird little family for each other. I want Sam and Dean to resolve their problems and the relationship between Dean and Cas to be developped and acknowledged as romantic. I also hope that Sam and Cas will finally be friends (come on, they're practically brothers-in-law xP)
ReplyDeleteYes, this.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet you seem so upset by the issue rearing its head here. That seems to me like it is a pretty pressing issue! It all depends on how you want to run your site. Do you enjoy having the Dean/Cas fans to complain about in the comments, or would you like to take the bull by the horns and address the issue by having an open dialog about it? I suspect the former would lead to a continuation of threads like today's, where you and the mods express your distress at shippers daring to opine, and shippers become ever more concerted in their efforts to be recognized as a valid part of fandom. If not a podcast, perhaps SpoilerTV needs a column or another way to make shippers feel like they have a voice here? That might cut down on the frustration felt by both sides. And frankly... We shouldn't be in two sides to begin with. We all love the show and we are all allowed to have our wishes and hopes for how it goes.
ReplyDeleteI want the writers to finally put Dean and Castiel together because that amount of eye sex and emotions is just not straight enough to be believable. So get 'em together, otherwise the sexual tension will break open my tv.
ReplyDeleteI tend to be anti-non-canon shipping and Destiel is a part of that. However I post about episodes and polls mostly and rarely post about fandomy things. It is true that lines that people interpret as Destiel or Wincest tend to make my worst of on the quotes list but other than that I don't recall posting anything at all about this topic unless you are referring to my recaps which I no longer post here on SpoilerTV and which are rarely focused on shipping at all.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural - definitely NOT on the Dean-and-Cas-as-a-couple bandwagon here, but I do want to see more of Team Free Will and the angels. Also wishing for the Return of Bobby, even if it's only in flashbacks or reincarnation or SOMETHING.
ReplyDelete
