The episode was awesome. Not the end so much though it looks like Kate is having second thoughts about being in a relationship with Castle after what Meredith says and it was heart breaking to ser the look on her face i hope they don't break up because if it cause I love them together and it took so long to get them together it would be hard to watch the show if they do break up I don't think they will but u never know anyways I love this show and it was a good episode
I would have voted for the end if it didn't say that Beckett was having second thoughts cause I don't believe for a second she will ever doubt her relationship with Castle now. She was only realizing that she is not far different from the relationship Meredith had with Castle and she needs to change that if she wants it to work.
Anyone else getting a little discouraged at the LACK of relationship we are getting with Kate and Rick? I mean, I love Castle and have seen every episode several times, with the exception of season 5. I had hoped and waited for so much more than what we are getting. A little romance would be nice....these little one second pecks are getting old! Tonight's epi was ok -- loving the "come on, Kitten, we're going home" was a classic-- but the end just bummed me out. I want to see Rick and Kate have some special romantic time. Not this insecure stuff. Where is the passion os Always? They don't even use the phrase any more! This is my favorite show of all time! I don't want to see that end.....
I don't think the end was about Kate having second thoughts. It was more Kate realizing Castle has walls, too and she hasn't broken down a lot of them yet. She realizes she has to change that if she wants this relationship to work longterm. That's all. I didn't see/hear any second thoughts and I wish people would stop worrying about a potential break all the time and see little obstacles like this for what they really are - a chance to resolve their deepest inner fears and move forward in their relationship / come out stronger in the end. I think this was a little set up for a future episode where the mystery of Castle's father will make an appearance, and we will see how Castle deals with that. I bet he tries his trademark smirk but Beckett won't let him get away with it this time unlike any times in the past. So this whole set up is a GOOD thing. Don't worry so much and have faith! Andrew Marlowe was always very vocal about where he wants the two characters to end up and he will stay true to that. The fun and interesting part about it is the path leading up to that. It can't be all roses and sunshine. Overcoming obstacles will make them stronger in the end!!!
THE EPISODE WAS AWESOME...!!!. KUDOS 4 THE ENTIRE CLAN, WELL PLAY & DONE...!!! I don't think the end was about Kate having second thoughts just realizing that Castle has walls and she needs to surf those roads. it is true that he knows a lot more about her than she about him. This 2 are in LOVE
I really loved the last scene between Kate and Meredith, but I don't believe Kate has second thoughts about her relationship with Castle. I feel more as though she realizes how much she does love him and she feels his pain. She realizes she's not the only one with walls and that she needs to let him know that she is there for him as much as he has been (and still is) there for her. He needs to know that he is able to confide in her somehow, and not just about the parenting stuff. Castle has been able to hide the fact that he has walls because of his humour and by always putting his loved ones first. So no, not doubting their relationship, but a realisation that there is something deeper going on within him than she already knows and that she needs to peel that "Castle Onion" ;)
I'm still going with that being my favourite scene, since it opens up a lot of story telling possibilities, but I am scrapping everything that comes after the word "Castle" in that sentence ;)
Beckett wasn't having second thoughts. She's thinking there's a lot of stuff about Castle she doesn't know, maybe she hasn't payed enough attention but Castle has trust issues too.
Clearly we are not watching the same show. The whole episode screamed RELATIONSHIP!!! There were so many things they both had to deal with, so many pitfalls to avoid/circumnavigate (which they did rather splendidly I might add) plus the epi opened up new issues/possibilities for the future - "Significant Others" was a whole relationship FEAST! If you only consider kissing and sex as terms of a relationship - yeah, then you're clearly missing the point. Because a REAL relationship doesn't only consist of sunshine and roses but also of "this insecure stuff" (as you have called it). Also, I think the way they both dealt with the appearance of Meredith was just hilarious - LOVED their facial expressions and dry/sarcastic comments. Castle always manages to find a perfect blend of love, fun and case related stuff. I for one enjoyed this episode immensely!
I liked Castle afraid of all the redheads in his loft. I also think honorable mention should go to Ryan and Espos take down of the suspect, Espo always gets the best tackles.
Just watched last night's episode again. I have to admit there were several LOL moments throughout! Just the look on Castle's face half the time made me laugh. I also noted Kate's ability to "let him have it" by looks and innuendos was reassuring, as well as funny. I still would like to have a scene with some passion again between them, but this episode did have its moments. I love these two and this show--even though at times I feel like there could have been "more" to certain scenes. Fav of the night has to be "button up, Kitten. We're going home"
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Button up Kitten, we're going home
ReplyDelete"Button up Kitten, we're going home!" was my favorite, seconded by the "comparing notes" conversation/look

ReplyDelete"Beckett and Meredith role-play (Castle begs Beckett to tell him about the dinner)"... Of course! After, the kiss, guys! THE KISS!!!!
ReplyDeleteCome on the brief Martha/Meredith scenes were awwesome:)
