I only saw the last half hour, but I liked what I saw. Still bitter that Amelia/Sheldon won't be endgame, though. So happy he told her he had cancer, though! I was beginning to think that'd be kept a secret forever.
Can't believe there's only two episodes left. I am not okay with this!
Amelia is one of my favorite characters so I want a happy ending for her. But this pairing with the ER doc, with whom she has little in common and who doesn't even respect her enough to tone his mother down or listen to her ideas, has now beat Chatokay and 7of9 as the "worst pairing to suddenly happen because the show is ending".
Sheldon was wrong. It's nice to have someone hold your hand in the end but if you have little in common when you start a relationship, there's going to be nothing in the end, not even hand holding.
All I could think by the end of the episode was THANK GOODNESS Sheldon told someone about his cancer. I know he has his chemo girl, but he needed to share with a friend. And Amelia's pretty much the best one she has. I'm glad he finally told her. And I think she and James were pretty sweet together.
i really hope they break these two up by the finale, amelia was right a few episodes ago when he asked her out for coffee and she said i know you think that because we're both the same age etc etc, she should have stuck to that.
AH! I totally get your ST:V reference! I agree that Chakotay & 7of9 were such an odd pairing. The only reason I still (somewhat) enjoyed watching, was that it allowed viewers, and fans of 7of9, to see her character emotionally 'grow'/mature, enough that she was able to be in a romantic relationship. (Regarding this PP episode: I'll have to catch up with it online, then comment on it later.)
this is the best season of the show. excluding the sam's episode and the 100th episode, every episode has been top-notch. I think it is currently among the best dramas on tv, too bad nobody is watching. I love amelia, she is my favorite character and i could not have been happier with her episode. caterina is a hell of an actress, and i loved her relationship with james. the director from this episode was excellent, whoever it was. major props. i will be gutted when all of it ends.
I disagree 100%. I thought it was very organic how it happened and that they did way more with them than just trowing them together for the sake of the show ending. I am normally not a so called shipper, but i was really a fan of the two of them after this episode
He told her to stop intorregoting her, he was totally neutral, didn't take sides of any of the ladies, so as much as the pairing is kinda sudden and rushed -- this argument won't fly here, my friend. :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Okay, I love Amelia and the new guy! They were so cute!

ReplyDeleteI'm soo torn, I want her to get her happy ending but I also want to see her on Grey's Anatomy
ReplyDeleteExcellent acting! I am bummed they are turning things around and going to tear it away from us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love them together.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode.

ReplyDeleteI am loving this season so sad to see it end, it has a great cast of characters, wish it would continue in some way.
ReplyDeleteI love James and Amelia can we have them migrate to Seattle. Let's have two Shepherd's running around SGMW Hospital.
It's just a shame they couldn't squeeze out another 11 episodes to give it a full season.
