  1. Very intense episode. I wonder what Stanton wants?

  2. The episode had it all.... Kara , Alicia Corwin and Snow in flashbacks, Elias in prison orange, the FBI and Carter working Reese... and Fusco protecting Karolina Kurkova! XD

    - It was a nice surprise to have Elias watching out for Jon inside! XD
    - Bear whining at Reese on TV was cute....
    - Loved Eminence Front being played as Reese walked out of prison! XD

I wonder how Finch can always hack into any radio frequency or wire without being noticed, but this is escapist TV and not realistic heavy drama. Regardless, Finch is one BAMF hacker! XD
To call him 1337 is an insult.... I think I could use a guardian angel like Finch.... If only I had black ops skills and was a fictional character......

The interrogation with Carter was great! Not because she would expose him, but it gave us some nice insight into both characters. Carter was telling her true experiences and Reese was wrapping truths in vague evasive answers or limited truths that don't give him away.

The little prison yard scheme was a bit contrived, but we know Reese can take a beating.... or knife wound....or bullet... A little beating is a small price to pay for getting out of jail free and un-shanked by Hersh (HR's wetworks guy).

It seemed quite odd to me that Carter and Reese would be chillin' in public so soon after he got out of prison. Knowing Agent Donnelly is so paranoid it did not make any sense to me.... It had to be a set up to get them/ him in custody again.

With so many flashbacks involving Kara Stanton I knew she would turn up in this episode or next.... Then I began wondering if Donnelly was working for the clandestine agency that built the machine or being used unknowingly to track Reese. Who else could track Reese via Donnelly... Why hello Kara!

Can you out of the frying pan and into the psychopathic government trained assassin's frying pan?

    This was an incredible episode!

  3. I think she believes that John might know what happened in Ordos and why they were both set up by Alicia Corwin and Agent Snow.

  4. I've always wondered exactly what she wants too!

Is it revenge against the company for trying to kill her?
Has she figured out exactly what the company had her doing and what the machine is and now she wants access?
Does she want revenge on Reese in some misguided vendetta mindset?
    All of the above?

It will be fun to see it play out since Kara is one of the most intriguing roles to me. Plus, she is so attached to the Machine's origin that it could lead to some great back stories....

  5. Poor Reese, the guy can't seem to catch a break. Out of the frying pan and into the fire indeed. The good news is that he's out of prison and the FBI's grasp, the bad news is that now Kara has him. The two week wait is going to kill me.

  6. This was an incredible episode. Now what ? John is captured by crazy ex-
CIA Kara Stanton, and the NSA wetworks guy is still after John. And Snow is still out there. I don't think I am going to survive this show.

love to have seen the email for finch's escape plan

  8. I thought something had happened between Kara and Reese! I was starting to doubt my insticts, and my instincts are pretty good.

  9. Fantastic episode. So many story's and the incredible cliffhanger at the final is just outstanting.

  10. YEAH!!, POI IS BACK!!, this is the kind of episode I expect every time I watch this show, this episode was totally AWESOME!!

  11. D'oh... Yeah!

Thanks for catching that.... I was picturing the unknown man from the Office of Special Consel group that created the Machine and typed HR as I was trying to figure out what acronym to use! No matter which it is, it is definitely NOT HR!!

It seems like the group that created the Machine was made up of members of a few different groups....I never really have been sure if they are DIA, NSA or OSC or some clandestine organization without a name...
    (C.O.W.A.N.?) XD

I mean so far the people we know who are/ were attached to the MAchine's creation or cover up include:
    - Alicia Corwin - NSA
    - Nathan Ingram - IFT (Software Company)
    - Agents Evans, Snow, Stanton - CIA
    - Denton Weeks - NSA
    - Unknown US Gov Official "Pennsylvania Two" - OSC (Office of Special Consel)
    - Hersh - Maybe OSC or NSA?

There have been some other DOD and DIA references too if I recall right....

  12. holly f%$&!!!! what was that? OMG I can't breath- really! i was actually having a feeling that that drive at the end will not end well - but still it stopped my heart!! can't wait for next episode!!!!

  13. I wasn't watching the clock. Consequently I was caught completely off guard when FBI dude showed up and arrested Reese and Carter.

This episode was Awesome... Loved...everything, getting to see Elias again, Fusco taking care of business solo....and getting a kiss from a model, the fact that we may finally get insight into what John's former partner is up to (that's Kara right?) and not a moment too soon! The Areyan Nation dude saying "Hi" to Resse in the yard.

Just so much yumminess that I'd wind up transposing the script if I kept typing.

  14. As for Carter and Reese...quite odd was an understatement...given what was going on it was reckless.

  15. Wow, Incredible episode Indeed, one of the Best things I have seen in years.
    Kudos to all of them.

  16. Cara is beyond words, her come back all those awesome flashbacks, Fusco, Finch with that gun, loyal Carter, Elias .... Could not be better, I love this SHOW.

  17. Too bad we'll never know why Armenians wanted Karolina Kurkova dead. Well she's a real person after all and this is a fictional show.

After Reese was captured by the FBI in the bank we had to wait 3 weeks to see what happened next. Now Reese is captured again, this time by Kara, and we have to wait 3 weeks again to see what happens next. Gaaahhh!!

Never thought we would see an arc longer than the one with Root from episode 1x23 to 2x02. The arc this time will be at least 4 episodes (it starts from episode 2x10)

  18. So... umm... how does this show just continue to top itself week after week? There's an episode and it kicks all kinds of ass and I'm like "Ok, they've got to hit a plateau at some point." But nope, they continue to make this show more and more awesome!

Loved seeing Elias again. I always find the bad guys who show/have respect for the good guys (like Elias with Finch in intellect and Reese being the one who saved him) to be the best kind of bad guys.

I enjoyed the scenes with Reese and Carter and I believe they were sharing with each other little tidbits of their own lives because they've come to respect and trust one another. Good on Finch for being so handy in his computer hacking ways to come up with data on the fly!

Poor Bear though, waiting and whining for John to come in with Finch, only to be disappointed. And Finch suiting up was hilarious!

But the MVP of the episode, for what little screen time he had, goes to Fusco! Going from being maced, to helping the girl, to potentially sacrificing himself for the girl (hilariously bad ass moment with the dual pistols), and getting kissed and asked to call the girl. His face too! Oh God, that face after the kiss was priceless. It was the face of "That was wonderful... no one's going to believe me." I demand a full episode of Fusco's adventures in this episode!

  19. BEST EPISODE EVER!!!
Not just of this season, not just of Person of Interest - of all TV series I have ever watched!!!
There was only one thing missing for me, to absolute perfection - I wanted Donnelly to learn what Carter and Reese really do and I wanted him to eventually switch sides and become another partner, or inside man of Finch and Reese. Besides that - totally excellent episode, I got goose bumps and I was shaking!
Wait a moment... We only saw Kara shooting, but there is no confirmation that Donnelly is actually dead (for all we know, he could be wearing a bulletproof vest). This might get interesting... Oh, I just can't wait for the next episode!

  20. Yay and the way Kara stopped Donnelly reminded me how Reese stopped those men who intended to kill Teresa Whitiker S01;E02,
    Awesome

that's exactly what came to my mind

    ReplyDelete
  22. That was AWESOME!!! Even before Donnelly fricking caught John AND Carter, revealed he was playing her all along, talked to them about how they chose to lead their
lives the way that they are, and was killed by Kara Stanton. I'll miss him.

The only thing I didn't like about this episode was that they made it really obvious that Kara was going to show up at the end... Going as far as to spend 2 minutes
on showing footage of her blowing up from last season. The Fusco storyline
didn't add much.. but it didn't take much away either. It was fun that they
    literally explained nothing about it.

  23. I think he had suspicions about Carter already, but he wasn't sure until he saw ''the look in her eyes''. His ''final tactic'' of putting Reese in danger was not about revealing Reese, but her. I was actually really surprised that he was that smart. :p

Not often in TV you get a February sweeps quality episode at the beginning of January. Fantastic episode!

  27. OMGGGGGGG! BEST EPISODE EVERRRRRRRRRR .. AND I MEAN EVERRRRRRRR! GOD! I DIDN'T WANT IT TO FINISH & THE DONNELLY GUY IS A BEAST ..

Finally, there's an FBI guy who is merciless and devious .. as much as I hated him for arresting Reese and Carter but man! that guy is genius & his writing is genius.. Carter is a fearless interrogator .. loved it soooooooooo much!

This episode took me off guard on many levels .. whole different meaning to kept me on the edge of my seat AND i kept biting my nails by the end of it... I NEVER do that.. FINCH is awesome like always.. that COTW offered a lightness to this episode .. I guess I found my favorite episode of this season <3333333333333

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING EPISODE AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE ..

  28. Fantastic! So many plots! Nice and surprising to see Corwin and Snow in flashbacks! -And then to have Elias help Reese and be apart of the episode was another fun plot, along with this guy going in to kill are four of the men in the suits! :D And then we have Fusco running around with this model, who ultimately comes to like him, but I love how the POI of the week was in the background of the episode and the other stuff became more central.

    Bad Robot Stuff. Names: Vincent(Lost), Holt(Fringe), Warren(Fringe).
Famous "Car Crash Extraction" - Alias "Before the Flood"/"Prophet Five"

Another good episode and seems like we are working towards a showdown. Now we just need Root to show her face...

  29. If I remember right (and that's a big if) I think there was a DOD memo in relation to Denton Weeks...

I think the DIA Agent was the first "relevant" social security number the machine spat out. I think this was in the episode "Super"

    ReplyDelete
  30. I wonder, even though it was a background comedic plot for the episode, if it will hold weight later on? Probably not, but you never know.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Wow, I haven't seen the episode yet, but the results above are impressive. 93%? I thought that only Breaking Bad can achieve something like THAT :o

    ReplyDelete
  32. Awesome episode. Sucks that we have to wait 3 weeks for a new one. I wanna know what happens next now

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sounds right to me...
I could not recall specific people so a memo and the first SS# sounds right.....

  34. this was incredible. i dont know when it happened but this show has been turning into one of my favorite shows lately. this episode was sooo good. i did not predict agent dowell to catch them in the end or the end with kara. elias showing up was also good and i loved the carter - john scenes in the prison. this really was brilliant. i have no idea what will happen next.

  35. speak for yourself, i did not see it coming. the show often uses flasbacks with characters that never pop up at the end, so i did not see it coming

    ReplyDelete
  36. This episode was amazing! Every scene was fantastic :) A clap for the amazing music and the excellent performances of everyone! PoI keeps getting better and better every week!

  37. I have only one word for this episode....... Wow!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Woooow!! It was totally amazing!!!!!! If Kara do something to Carter, I'll be really mad at her!! Poor Reese, he really needs to be saved this time.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This episode was pure awesomeness and that's all there is to it. Until this one my favorite was the season 2 premiere, but this episode went above and beyond even what The Contingency managed to bring us, which is saying a lot. I can't find a single complaint even if I'm trying.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, Snow is not really out there, he was captured by Kara as well.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Fantastic telly! Loved it. Kara making an appearance at the end was pretty obvious, but apart from that it was awesome. Fusco's adventure was brilliant.
