Awesome episode for me, I think vote great first, but I really liked it. The case of the week is very interesting because the danger not came from the perpetrador, but the victim itself, very clever move.
Another great think, the definition of Pi, wow another clever move 'professor' Finch.
The Reese plot don't end in this episode is a good think, because like the episode 2x01 they extend the story to finish in the next one.
Team Machine dynamic work very well for me in this one, while I miss Reese being a kick ass, the others members make good job, Finch and Fusco with case of the week and Carter (Taraji P. Henson is very beautiful and hot in this episode) in her on journey to help save Reese.
One thing Person of Interest does extremely well (amidst a myriad of things it does extremely well) is how it toys with where exactly the danger is coming from concerning a number. It was pretty sad and well played out how it showed why the kid was going to kill himself, and it was nice to have Finch at the center at the episode since the kid was kind of an outcast because of the blame he put on himself and Finch is an outcast because of what he's done.
Also really nice to have Fuscoe utilized a lot. He's definitely the one who has changed the most throughout the show and with the whole HR thing I always feel bad for him, but it was nice to see him comfortable and part of the team.
Reese is still in jail and that sucks, but I'm glad they didn't rush that storyline. Similar to how Finch was in Root's clutches for the first 2 episodes.
This show rocks week after week and even a break can't slow it down!
Good to have the show back! And nice way to do it with a very nice ep featuring everyone minus Mr Reese... nice layered twists and turns and some cool hint that Finch was the original hacker that had never been caught.... good screentime for Fusco and to see flirty Carter all decked out... wowza
Nice episode. Loved Finch sucking those kids in with his ramblings about Pi. Awesome to see Fusco and Carter taking more vital role in things. I did miss Reese though. Felt odd for him to be so....non-present. I missed Bear too. All in all a really great episode.
Nice to see Harold use another bird-species alias, Swift. The pattern continues......
He would make a fine teacher if he ever gives up the superhero gig! I would feel quite content if Finch was a shaper of young minds.
Glad they did not rush Reese out of jail like others have said. Even a SpecOps stud like Reese would need some time to formulate a plan to break out and any outside action (or even pre-established plan) would need some research or set-up time too.
Nice to Have the B-squad of Team Machine come off the bench and step it up while Reese was detained.....
Finch sending Carter out for someone's specific DNA... I sense a plan coming together. I guess if Finch can hack the ARPANET and release its code and not get caught that having one very guilty man released free from the clutches of the FBI should not be that hard. XD
While I did miss some of the Reeve/ Finch banter, I really enjoyed the episode. The extra helping of Fusco is always appreciated!
Looking forward to Carter interrogating Reese if it happens next week!
Loved the writings, I never thought maths could be so fascinating :p. So, well done. I enjoyed seeing Finch being the centre stage and undercover Carter is hot. Big credits for another out of the box case. Excited to see Carter's next move. Well, POI never disappoint, week after week. It only gets better.
It's interesting that this episode mentioned ARPANET because this episode aired around January 1st 2013 which was the 30th anniversary of ARPANET's migration to TCP/IP that our internet is currently using.
Great episode. I missed John, but they have set it up for an awesome set-peice next week with Carter using her 'methods' on John. Carter just keeps getting hotter and hotter too.

ReplyDeleteI loved this episode it gave us clues on how the machine works. It also gave much background on Finch.
ReplyDeleteYes it was It is good to see a Computer historian on here.
ReplyDeleteIts just me, or music in this episode was very familar to the mass effect series?
ReplyDeleteLoved it. Best episode this Season
ReplyDeleteFantastic Episode, Wow, beyond words.
ReplyDeleteLoved our Avengers as usual, they are so AWESOME, Carter was unbelievable and Fusco was Wonderful, and Mr. Finch is indeed an unrivaled Genius.
