  1. Ow. That was a painful, but awesome episode.

I figured Ziva's father was dying, but I thought Jackie would survive. Unfortunately, I saw her dying a second before Vance said it.

Poor Ziva. Poor Vance. Poor team. WHY WOULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT, THOUGH? SO RUDE. I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK NOW. It's going to be such a long wait!

  2. I knew Eli was going to die but I didn't see Jackie's death coming. Totally awesome!

  3. Holy shit i didn't expect Jackie to die! I knew Ziva's farther was going to die in this but Jackie, jeez, rest in peace Mrs V.

Well ,now Ziva has no relatives left, blood wise anyway, now its just Leroy,Tony,Abby,Tim and Ducky.

There really wasn't any other way for it to play out. Ziva wasn't leaving NCIS to go back home this is her home now,and he wasn't making any changes...

  4. Totally didn't see Jackie's death coming, even though I totally knew Eli would get killed. Definitely an emotional episode.

  5. It would have been enough to kill Eli. Jackie's death was unneccessary, Worse, it's going to be all about Vance's pain rather than Ziva's story.

It bugged me that everyone showed up at the hospital for Vance, even Ducky and Abby, but Ziva was left all alone with no friend to help her.

  6. Ziva crying 'Abba!' was so sad. Number two on my - 'Saddest NCIS lines ever' list. Number one being Ducky's 'Oh Caitlin, I am so sorry.'

  7. Man, I pray for the one responsible for this because you have Ziva, Gibbs, Vance, Sec Nav, Mossad, and the USA pissed off. Hope Ziva and Vance get this creep.

  8. I screamed "Oh no!!" when Jackie was pronounced dead by Vance .............awful awful awful.. I wept with Ziva in her pain and the worse for her is yet to come since her last moments with her ABBA were not very nice she will have much to deal with in the weeks to come....the look on Tony's face was AWESOME "Who is responsible for this?"...very rare to see him so emotional. How will NCIS pay homage to both Vance and Ziva ...this is going to be tough writing....who do you concentrate on...yikes! Whoever is responsible for this better just eat a poison cigarette NOW because they have messed with the wrong people for sure. Poor Gibbs and company right smack in the middle of a world of grief!

  9. i think it was a huge mistake killing Eli. I'll watch the next episode just to see the rest of the episode...then, im taking NCIS out of my shows watch list.

  10. He's the head of Mossad (on his way out, but still) and killed on US soil. A war starting because of his death is something that could happen. Probably won't, but it's a legitimate fear.

And this was awesome! Don't give up yet.

  11. This was one of the most gripping episodes of the season with part 2 next week,i cannot imagine it being anything less than stellar.Do you really think war is not a possibility? Its a very real possibility, but if not war, there will still be a body count by the end of this.I'm surprised your giving up on this because Eli was killed off,its not like he had many scenes this season or even last season...

  12. THE best episode of the season. Great writing, great acting (Cote!) and great music. So sad for Ziva and Vance. Vance is now a single dad... how will he be able to do his job as he has before?

  13. A war is possible...but how will they do that on the tv show? thats the point. I liked the way things were almost getting well between ziva and her dad. But i have to agree that if Eli was alive, he would be arrested bc he killed that man. It was a complicated episode. lol but i still didnt want him dead.

  14. i wonder how they will make a war on this tv show. only a politic war? that would be silly. well...now they have to create somthing stronger than mossad/Eli/ziva/Ncis. What will they do?Develop only drama with Abby and mcgee story? bc they cut off something that gave them a long story line. Well...i'll only see the spoilers after the next episode. but i dont think i'll watch it. Its like they killed the "bad guy" of the show..."mossad". Its like killing the Joker...whats the point of Batman now. I dont expect anyone to understand my point. =)

  15. its not bc o Eli...its bc of what he represented...Mossad. Now NCIS hasnt the "bad guy" of the show. i dont expect anyone to understand my point.

  16. I think the repercussions of this will not end after the next episode.Their will be fallout, don't forget SecNav didn't know Eli was even in the states,Nor did anyone on Eli's end so i think that even if Ziva gets revenge in part 2,its not over.. You never know you can always change your mind and come back? I never say never! ;)

  17. Actually i do understand your point,i just see it differently. :)

  18. Eli David dying was the one of most obvious things I've ever seen on TV. But it was still unexpected (if that makes sense). Thinking about it, it makes me wonder: would Eli have lived if Ziva hadn't chased after the shooter? Maybe, maybe not.

When I saw the press release, I thought Jackie being in this ep seemed odd, but the promo straightened that out. When Tony/McGee went into the house, I knew that Vance was trying to save HER rather than Eli, as he was pushing so hard to keep the person alive. At that moment, I knew she was gonna die, for two reasons. 1. With the amount of time left in the episode, it seemed unlikely that she would have enough time to recover enough that she can speak to Vance, which is what usually happens in this situation. 2. I remembered back to the 'phoof' that had Vance facing Gibbs in the hospital, and Gibbs seemed upset. Since Eli was already dead, it must have been for Jackie dying. The doctor walking out jsut before Vance confirmed it really.

Overall, an OUTSTANDING ep, one of the best I've seen on ANY show for a LONG time. The only flaw? We have to wait until next week to find out the aftermath!!! :(

  19. I have a feeling that she's not really dead, that Vance said that so he could hide her. Maybe I'm wrong but stranger things have happened.

Also I think it would make better sense dramatically to have this about Ziva's revenge rather than split it up between Vance and Ziva.

  20. I have never seen Eli as a bad to begin with. A complicated man who had a complicated relationship with everyone on NCIS, but not a bad guy. I don't mind that he was killed, it made sense for the story they are telling. I enjoyed his character very much, but he isn't the first character to be killed and he won't be the last. I don't see a war starting because of this. There will be strains in their relationship with Mossad, no war and that will make great drama for the show. This isn't a show about war, but about the team of NCIS and how they react to the things that affect them. I am sorry you feel that last night's episode was so bad that you would give up on the show. Still 20 million people will continue watch it.

  21. I think it's a mistake because Michael Nouri was possibly their best recurring character.

But I don't understand why a war would start because of this. He was an agent of another country who someone took out on American soil. Unless the CIA killed him, nothing to do with the US.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't see why he would fake her death. She wasn't the target so who ever sent the shooter won't come back to finish the job and she didn't see the shooter so her living wouldn't have any consequence for the guy(who's now dead). I think she's really dead.

  23. Mike was the best recurring character, not Ziva's dad.

  24. If the iranians killed him than the US are safe(especially since he entered the country without his personal protection) but if it turns out that an american killed him even if he was on his way out, this could be the first step towards a war between israel and the US>

  25. You're right, this show is about the team and watching the preview for the next episode and seeing Tony ask Ziva what she needed without even blinking, I realized that this team is by far the strongest on television. What they do for each other( Mac Gee, Gibbs and Tony rescuing ZIva was probably one of the greatest team effort and rescue I had ever seen) and Gibbs standing in front of that door for two hours. They're not about big PDA or anything but at the end of the end they'd go to the hell and back for each other . It's pretty impressive after 10 years!

They keep killing my favorite recurring characters... I do not like that they both died. Trying to split the grief and revenge of two people in an hour storyline will be hard. Add to it that Vance may be angry with Ziva for bringing the danger to him in his mind.

  27. Awesome episode. Totally didn't see Jackie dying. Cannot wait for next week

  28. Wow... Well, KUDOS to Cote, I'm not much of a crier, but I was sobbing while watching her crying.

  29. Sorry but I don't have any sympathy left for Ziva. I'm sick and tired of her getting all the big eps while characters like McGee are continually snubbed, and I'm sick to death of the whole Israel storyline that they bring up almost every season. The only person I felt bad for was Vance, that he lost his wife. I think the thing I'm most disappointed in is that this pretty much stole whatever impact the McGee's dad storyline might have had, assuming it actually does show up this season.

  30. I don't see Vance blaming Ziva for this. If anything he will blame himself for what happened. For not taking more precautions. For not trusting his instincts when they met up with the guy from Iran, that fooled them all into believing he was there for peaceful purposes.

  31. If Vance decides that enough is enough and he retires from NCIS......I have a great idea for his replacement.....Andre Braugher would be superb......if you watch him in Last Resort you will see what I mean,,,,,,I will miss Vance but would welcome Braugher......her would have great scenes with Gibbs......hmmmm
