  1. Nicely balanced episode: intrigue, drama, reversals, romance. I am really liking the Sutton/Rebecca dynamic. They are a great fit with really good parallels. Alec is moving from a sleezeball I enjoy watching to a legitimately intriguing mystery, which is very exciting. Alexandra Chando was so good (not at the fake playing tennis, that was woah), but in the being two people. Emma and Sutton are so distinctly different, I forget they are the same actress.

My only niggle is Thayer. I've never liked the guy, and I feel like he comes off kinda sketchy. Up to now, I've chalked it up as unintentional and not so great acting. Some people just read untrustworthy or slimy, and I felt like Christian Alexander just has that kind of vibe and that's probably why he's been cast as abusive jerks in the past. But I'm starting to change my mind, maybe it isn't unintentional and he is supposed to be suspicious. There are daddy issues and there is trying to get your father sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit and your dad treating you like an enemy. Is he working with Rebecca? It might explain why Rebecca is trying to get Mads to her side and is ignoring Thayer and how some information was passed along in season 1. Am I going too far? Are we supposed to feel bad for Thayer and believe he is just a good guy who hates coming in second and has a jerk for a stepfather?

  2. Really liked the ep. I cannot say I'm sorry to see Thayer gone. Actually, I'm glad he left town. Granted his baggage is interesting and makes sense but he is just annoying. He's college aged but at the same maturity level as the high school kids he's hanging around. He's out of place and whines way too much for my taste.

Lots of awesome soapy story telling. I am pleased that as much as Sutton and Rebecca are alike Rebecca does want her daughters to be sisters. Charisma Carpenter keeps making me happier and happier that she came onto the show. It was just a fun juicy ep. Loved it.

  3. He comes across as sketchy to me as well. He's a college aged man attracted to (and hanging out with) high schoolers. He was living on his own in LA and hadn't matured at all. That's sketchy. :-)

He might work better if he had a life more in his age bracket and was just helping the kids out with the mystery.
